Hiccup sighed as he began to sketch out the sight before him. That is till he heard the screeching of a dragon coming in for a landing. "Afternoon my lord," He teased as he saw Jack get off Froston, his Flightmare,"Where've you been?"
"Oh," Jack said, giving Toothless a rub on the snout and heading over to Hiccup,"Winning races, what else. The question is," He took a pause as he sat next to Hiccup,"Where have you been?"
"Avoiding my dad!"
"Oh no, what happened now?"
"Oh, you're-You're gonna love this. I wake up, sun shining, baby Nadders are singing on the rooftop. I sander down to breakfast thinking all is right with the world and I get,'Son! We need to talk'!"
Jack chuckled,"'Not now dad, I have a whole day of goofing off to get started'." "1st, I don't sound like that, w-what is this character and 2nd, what's that thing you're doing with my shoulders?" Jack shook his shoulders. "That's a very flattering, impersonation, ' Hiccup said, chuckling,"Anyway...'You're the pride of Berk, son. And I couldn't be prouder'."
"'Aww, thanks dad, I'm pretty impressed with myself too," Jack said, moving his hands weird, chuckling after words. "I've never, done that with my hands!" HIccup complained. "You just did!" Jack said, getting the adult viking to groan as he chuckled. "Come on Jack," Hiccup said, holding onto his fiancé's hands,"This is very serious." Jack nodded.
"'You're all grown up,'" Hiccup then said,"'And since no chief could ask for a better successor, I've decided-" "To make you chief!" Jack screamed,"Oh my gods, what an honor! I'd be pretty excited." "I'm," Hiccup said sadly,"I'm not like you. You, know exactly who you are, you always have." The two males then sat down and Jack started braiding Hiccup's hair.
"What you're searching for," He said,"Isn't out there, Hiccup." He then touched where Hiccup's heart was,"It's in here." Hiccup gave him a small smile. He then sighed as he looked back over the horizon. "Maybe you just don't see it yet," Jack said, kissing the other Viking's cheek lightly.
