Jack grunted as he struggled to the nearest pond. He had fought off some British men, in order to keep his stand for a fountain that was claimed to give eternal youth. And now, he pulled himself using his arm. The other held his wound. He only was startled when he saw Hiccup coming out of the water.
"You are hurt," Hiccup said, seeing Jack trying to use the water to cover his battle wound. "In body only," Jack replied to him,"My mind is at peace. Because of you." "Me?" Hiccup questioned. "Yes," Jack answered,"I was lost. The wind, the tides...they were to renew a man's faith. For me, only you." "Jack," Hiccup said, trying to persuade him,"I can save you. You need only ask."
"I seek, but one thing," Jack said, his voice sturdier. "What is that?" Hiccup questioned, yearning to understand exactly what Jack wanted. "Forgiveness," He answered,"If not for me, you'd have never been captured." "Ask," Hiccup whispered, hoping he could save his beloved sailor. "Forgive me," Jack requested, his lips met with Hiccup's as he was pulled under the water of the pool. ~
