AN: As a special treat for Ch.67, I proudly present. An Overland Haddock written chapter. Starring: Jack Overland Frost and Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III. In a chapter I'd love to proclaim as ~ COFFEE SHOP AU! ~ ENJOY! ~
The air was thick and crisp. Hiccup was cleaning up the counter inside a small cafe where he worked. The cafe did have good business. There would be those winter days where the cafe would be so cramped, you honestly couldn't get through the door with our shoving someone into another person. In the days of Autumn, there would be a fair share of costumers. Also during the Summer, those whom needed the extra boost of energy would come for a piece of cake or even for a cup of caffeine. This was one of those Autumn days.
Hiccup was about to close up when someone came into the small cafe and happened to catch the boy's eye. This kid looked about 17. Had pure white spiked hair. Wore a blue shirt with a white 'frost-like' design, a black open vest cascaded over it's sleeves, ripped blue jeans, black copper buttoned shoes, and a British sailor's cap. He also had a small tattoo of a snowflake on his neck.
His frame was of a pale complexion towards his skin tone. His face was as if it was a work of art. His stunning jaw line which stood out within an eye's reach. His faint and lack of freckles which appeared just under his eyes and beside his nose. Unlike Hiccup's, which went all over his body. His eye brows had just a hint of white mixed within the brown hair. He had the most shimmering icy baby blue eyes, Hiccup had ever seen.
Hiccup was paralyzed where he stood. This kid was perfect. He couldn't breath. His heart was racing in paces he didn't know could be reached. His palms were getting clammy. And he just stood there like a gawking fish. He felt his ears go red as the boy walked up to the counter. "Hi," The boy said. Hiccup shook his head. "H-How may I help you?" He stuttered. The boy chuckled. "Yea," He said,"I need a chocolate and a blueberry muffin and a large iced mocha latte with extra whip cream, please." Hiccup nodded.
He wrote the order down and pulled out a plastic cup. "Who is the order for?" He questioned, hoping to get the boy's name. "Jack," The kid answered. Hiccup nodded and wrote the name on the cup. He then waltzed to the side to make the beverage. 'Ice, vanilla, coffee, stir, whip cream, mocha,' He thought to himself, stating the ingredients,'Ice, vanilla, coffee, stir, whip cream, mocha.'
Jack sighed as he checked his phone. He promised Emma he'd take an hour, then meet her at the park. But when he walked in to the small cafe, and he saw the cute cashier, he knew he'd take longer then planned. Jack just hoped this would all be worth it. He snapped out of his thoughts when he saw the two muffins on the counter. He looked over and saw the cashier write something on the cup.
Hiccup sighed as he continued to make the latte Jack ordered. 'Ice, vanilla, coffee, stir, whip cream, mocha,' He reminded himself. Once the latte was done, he set it on the counter and rang up the items. "That'll be $6.57," He said. Jack nodded and pulled out his a ten dollar bill. Hiccup took it and put it in the register. Replacing it with three 1 dollar bills, four dimes and three pennies.
"$3.43 is your change," He said. Jack nodded and put the money away. He then grabbed the items. "See ya later..uh?" "Hiccup," Hiccup answered,"It's Hiccup." "Right," Jack said, smiling,"See ya later, Hiccup." "Bye Jack," Hiccup said. Jack's smile grew and he left. Hiccup sighed,'Hopefully he gets my number from the cup.'
To his surprise, Jack did. Because they had a loooooooooooooooong conversation of getting to know each other, when Hiccup got home.
AN: This took forever! I had planned to use this as an earlier ch, but, it school and life were both being pains in the ass. So, here ya go. Hope u enjoyed and review. ~
