Piper
Of all the things that could have happened - and she had a whole lot of possibilities in mind. But having Reyna bust in was not what she had in mind.
"Reyna?" Piper asked.
"Yes, sorry am I interrupting something..."
"Er-no, not really, I mean..." Leo said awkwardly.
"Firstly, how'd you get here? Secondly, why on earth did you leave Octavian alone at camp?" Piper asked, wanting badly to change the subject.
"Ok, I telleported and Octavian was put into a sleep coma by a helpful Hypnos kid, I think his name was Clovis."
"Really? Wow. Remind me to buy Clovis a new pillow or something when we get back." Leo said.
"He saved us a whole lot of trouble... wait a second. Are we in a cubbourd?" Reyna asked and Piper felt herself blush.
"That would be a "yes." A mysterious catburglar dumped us in this closet for mysterious reasons and he took my tool-belt and Piper's knife, so I can't even get us out." Leo said.
"Good thing I'm here then." Reyna said pulling out her gladius and in a matter of seconds the door swung open.
Piper and Reyna headed to the dining room while Leo whent to fetch the others. Reyna told her the plan they had to combine forces to defeat Gaia and her gaints.
"Reyna, there is something you might want to know." Piper said, she hadn't bargained that Reyna would be coming back any time soon, now there would really be tension in the room with Jason and Calypso. Poor Reyna, sometimes Piper felt like such an idiot.
"Yes?"
"Me and Jason broke up." Piper said.
"I'm sorry." Reyna said, Piper could tell she was sincere when she said it, but she could also see the flicker of hope in her eyes as she sat down.
"But..." Piper explained the whole buisness to Reyna, she seemed to grow sadder with each word.
"I'm so sorry Reyna." Piper said.
"It's not your fault Piper. I think I should wait outside, so you can give the intro and then I'll tell them the plan. ok?" Reyna said getting up and going out the door on the opposite side of the room. At the same time the others came through the other door. Piper had asked Leo not to tell the others that Reyna was here. First came Leo, followed by sour looking Hazel and Frank, then came Calypso and Jason, holding hands. Then came Hedge and Nico, they were arguing over cards.
"No, Coach! Dionysus can't attack Hades first, he's too weak!" Nico said.
"Your FACE is weak!" Caoch said.
"I didn't make the cards!" Nico said throwing his hands up in surrender.
"Ok, boys. Settle down please!" Piper said, using a little charmspeak. Coach and Nico reluctntly took their places around the table.
"So, while me and Leo were locked in the closet," Jason looked wide- eyed at Leo and Frank and Hazel blushed," "We got an unexpected visitor." Piper said.
"Who?" Jason asked.
"Well, she has and excellent idea to get our two sides to combine forces to defeat Gaia- "
"But who is it?" Nico interrupted.
"Well, come on out then." Piper said and Reyna came through the door. Jason stared at her, eyes wide and his mouth hanging open.
"Close your mouth Jason," Reyna said, not even smiling." Hello Frank, Hazel, Nico, Coach Hedge, Calypso." Reyna smiled at the rest, this seemed to tick Jason off.
"How'd you get here?" He asked.
"The Hecate and Trivia children combined forces to telleport me here." Reyna answered.
"What about Octavian?" Frank asked allarmed.
"Lets just say, someone from the Hypnos cabin got a bit tired of him and sorted him out." Reyna said, smiling at her clever pun.
"I say we get to the battle plans!" Hedge shouted.
"Yeah!" Nico said mocking coach Hedge.
"Well, I suppose Hedge and Nico would know, that Camp Half Blood is good friends with a great legion of Centaurs called the Party Ponies?"
"Yep, they helpped in the Titan war, they faught with Paintball guns and other party tricks." Nico said and Hedge nodded.
"Where was I, when this happened?" Leo and Jason said together.
Reyna ignored them and continued," Well, each centaur can carry two people and can close vast distances in a small amount of time. The Party Ponies have agreed to help us transport the soldiers to the battle grounds, the Cyclops army have also agreed to help," She turned to Leo." It all depends on when we arrive at Epirius."
"Four days from now ma'am." Leo said with a mock salute.
"Right, so. Nept- er- Poseidon already has his legion on standby, so they can be summoned at a moment's notice."
"Excellent! And what do we do?" Hazel asked.
"Piper, if you please?" Reyna said and Piper took Reyna's place.
"Ok, ladies. In the next four days you learn as much as you can of all the monsters you can, I'll set up a training scedule, each of us has to practice their trademark move and we have to get as much sleep as possible , if I say chipmunk, Frank you have to be a chipmunk before I even thought about it, your archery has to be top notch, Leo you need to get this ship tip top shape, modifications included, all of us are at your service. Hazel, keep practicing your abilities, Jason same for you, but train with your weapons too. Nico, you train with your sword and whatever other abilities you have, Reyna, you know what to do. Calypso, we're going to depend on your healing abilities. Coach... You can kill as many monsters as you like!" This was followed by a whoop from coach Hedge." When we get there things will work like this, we have a team of three going into the House of Hades, Leo manning the Argo II and four on the battle field. The four on the battlefield will be, Hazel on Arion, Jason in the sky, Frank everywhere and me. The House of Hades kids will be Reyna, Calypso and Nico. Your mission is to find and retrieve Annabeth and Percy, Calypso and Reyna bring them back to the ship, Nico you gaurd the entrance. Then we all go in and we decide there who closes the doors. Is that understood?"
Everyone nodded grimly. Through the day she put up the training schedules and trained self, she studied and only took a break to go eat something, she saw the others working just as hard as she was. Later that night they had a quick campfire to lighten everyones mood just a bit, and they headed to bed. Only to be woken at six by the loud sound of a bagpipe being strangled. The days went by until it was the last night before they reached their destiny. Nerves ran high, tempers were short and setences were lost somewhere in the middle, no one admitted it, but they were all terrified. Piper kept an eye on Leo, he seemed to be two people at once, he would steal glances at her every now and then and then return his attention to his work, sometimes he would wear a bright smile and then it would dissapear into a frown. The others were no better, the tension between Reayna and Jason seemed to be preety thick, however the rest ignored it, coach and Nico had a few half hearted fights about myth o Magic and Frank and Hazel were always holding hands when they were together, Calypso was in her own world, sometimes with Jason other times she would be thinking, looking very worried. After the halfhearted campfire Piper headed down to her cabin, she was about to get ready for bed when there was a knock on her door,"Come in!" She called.
The door opened and Leo came strolling in, flopping down on her bed.
"What's up Leo?" She asked him.
He gestured for her to come sit next to him. She sat down and he turned to face her." You remember when Frank locked us in the closet?"
"How could I forget?" Piper said blushing to her roots.
"Well, currently I can't imagine where I'm getting the courage from, but remember when I said I liked you?"
"Yes." She said looking at him directly in his eyes.
"Well, it was the truth and I wanted to tell you that no matter what happens tomorrow I'm sure my feelings won;t ever subside, I'll only start loving you more and Pi-" He was interrupted by Piper who kissed him full on the mouth. She had no idea why she was doing it, it was a sudden impulse, finnaly all those feelings she supressed came out in the open. She knew she could pour all her emotion into her words when charmspeaking, now she tried something different, pouring all her emotion into this kiss, saying all the things they never had the courage to say, letting him see how scared she was, how she really felt about him, how much she cared, and she felt the spark, they have finnaly found arms were thrown around his neck and his arms circled her waist, it just felt... right.
"Piper?" He asked her when they broke apart.
"Yes?" She asked.
"I just realised tht I don;t like you after all." He said and she could feel her heart fall."I love you Beauty Queen." He said and she looked deep into his eyes and she said," I love you too Leo."
He pulled her close hugging her closely to him,"Pipes, I have no idea what I'll do if something happens to you tomorrow. I don't think I'll be able to take it."
She couldn't speak, tears were forming in her eyes and she knew that if she spoke too much she wouldn't be able to stop the flood. Instead she said,"Leo, I'm scared, stay please?"So he stayed the night in her room he had made himself a bed on the floor next to hers and they fell asleep holding hands, Piper was truely greatful for Leo, she was glad he came to her that night, or else she might have lost it, because she was terrified, she hadn't realised how much she cared about him earlier, but now she knew exactly and it frightened her to think what she would do if something were to happen to him. Now after she had all her memories back, now that she could honestly say that she loved Leo Valdez.
