Ha, so kill me now for an extremely late update, the good news is, that I finally finished this, I've started working on AEtU's sequel. I have two new crossover ff's coming up. Desperado's and OWD are getting updates and the bad news is, that I'm getting nowhere with AFCL and this is in fact the very last chapter of aOtK! Ha and my laptop broke so no idea when I'm actually gonna make any updates!
Anyways, this is all in Leo's PoV, I lost all the previous chapters so Imma do my best now.
Leo
Explosions, he remembered Annabeth and Percy making it out alive, he remembered Calypso, -who no one realised, became mortal after she left her island, - taking a sword for remembered when they fought the giants, they were all dead, everything was over, but with its last breath the bane of Athena blasted them with flames. And as Hazel died and Frank's life slowly drained from him, Leo knew that he would never be able to forgive himself for not being able to save them. But, they were heroes now! They should be glad and thankful, and boy, did they put a show on. They got married and raised families, taught them about their past and trained them for their future. They mourned their friends and celebrated their lives. Annabeth and Percy finally got their happy ending. Reyna and Jason finally found each other. Leo and Piper heard the words of a deadly oath made by someone other than themselves, a deadly curse that took the life from had been Piper who had finally lulled Gaia back to sleep, but it had been Leo who killed her last son with fire, which in it's turn made the world fall. In that son's dying breath it cursed Leo swearing that as soon as Leo was happy again, he would lose his life. Little did Leo know, that when the giant said life, he meant that Leo would lose that, without which his life could not go on. And so it happened when the deadly oath struck, Leo was becoming a father, the last of his friends to do so in fact. But as the oath would have it, his last picture of her was pain, but their last words were, "I love you." He remembered crying, he remembered cursing the gods. Oh he hated life and he hated everything now. He had lost his life. He saw his son, James. He tried for him. Tried until the unfortunate child was 12 and safely at camp, with godparents to look after him. They found Leo, lying next to his wife's grave, a note addressed to his son was in his hand:
My boy,
No man knows when his time has come. I sit here at your mom's grave and hope that if my time comes, that she will be waiting for me. I want you to know that you were going to be our new start. You were going to be our happily ever after. But the prophecy didn't let us. I want you also to know that I honestly tried my best without her, I honestly did. If you are in fact reading this letter it means that I am dead. I hope that you can forgive this heartbroken old man. Know that you were the only thing keeping me sane, we will see eachother again my son, but until that day, may the coals in your forge glow ever birighter, may your spirit never die, may your path be true and just, may you never stop loving and may you always be loved.
Your Father.
It hadn't been a suicide. Leo had plainly just died of heartbreak. It had truely been an oath he had remembered with his final breath.
