Chapter Twenty Three: Freya's Words of Wisdom
"Bo Bo… Succubus sweetheart…" Kenzi whispered as she gently shook Bo, who was passed out in the spare bedroom of the Dal. Bo simply nuzzled deeper into the covers, still sound asleep. "WAKE THE FUCK UP BITCH WE'RE UNDER ATTACK!" Kenzi screamed as she took a step back.
Bo shot out of bed, tangled in the covers. As she reached for the dagger on the nightstand, the Succubus fell onto the floor with a loud thud.
"KENZI!" Bo growled as she looked up to her best friend who was now hysterically laughing.
"Oh don't even pretend to be mad, that was funny as hell and you know it" Kenzi said as she reached out her hand to help Bo up, "Plus in all fairness I did try to be all nice and wake you up but you sleep like the dead preggers, come on… Your wife is upstairs with my hot sexy girlfriend"
"What? Why? Tamsin never gets out of bed without waking me up" Bo said as she fumbled around the room to find her shirt to throw on.
"She said something about an angry sassy pregnant wife of hers needing actual sleep so she didn't blow the place up when Freya gets here…"
"Bitch…" Bo grumbled as she threw her hair up in a messy pony tail.
"Which should be any minute so move it or lose it skank face" Kenzi said as she clapped her hands together, attempting to rush Bo along.
Bo rolled her eyes and threw on the shirt she finally found.
As Kenzi and Bo walked up the stairs they saw Acacia and Alex arguing over by the pool table, while Trick was frantically cleaning the bar. Tamsin smiled sweetly as she walked over to the pair.
"I think someone might need their morning jump start" Tamsin said as she held out the vial of blue liquid.
"You're amazing" Bo said as she grabbed the vitamin mixture she had become accustom to taking every morning. Thankful her grandfather had made her a great amount of the drink for her nausea and other symptoms.
"I thought you said she was an asshole?" Kenzi said as she smirked and crossed her arms.
"An asshole huh?" Tamsin said as she raised an eyebrow and smiled.
"Actually I called you a bitch…" Bo said as she tossed back the mixture and closed her eyes in relief as she felt the morning sickness fade away.
"A bitch huh? And what did I do to deserve that title so early this morning?" Tamsin said as she put her hands on Bo's hips.
"I woke up alone in bed, enough said" Bo said as she threw her arms around Tamsin's neck.
"Yeah well I figured that although the bags under your eyes are super cute, you needed rest more than anything so sew me for being thoughtful" Tamsin said as she leaned down and pecked Bo's lips, preparing to go see what Alex and Acacia were fighting over. As the Valkyrie turned to walk away, she was quickly stopped by Bo, who grabbed her face and pulled her in for a deep and passionate kiss. It was only seconds before Tamsin felt the chi leaving her body. Tamsin tightened her grip on Bo's hips and savored the sensation she felt as their lips clashed together.
Bo slowly stopped her feeding and placed a lingering and soft kiss on Tamsin's lips as she backed away.
"That's better" Bo said with a smile.
"Damn right it is" Tamsin said in a love struck haze.
"You can go break up the family feud now… I think your sister is about to set your aunt on fire" Bo said with a chuckle.
"Uh-huh, sure babe…" Tamsin said as she leaned back down, kissing Bo's lips.
"No babe *kiss* seriously *kiss* Alex is about to *kiss* light Acacia up *kiss* like now" Bo said as she glanced over to the two fae arguing and lightly pushed Tamsin back.
"Wh-" Tamsin started to say but was cut off by Bo turning her face over to her sister and her aunt. "WOAH THERE BITCHES!" Tamsin yelled as she rushed over grabbing Alex, who had blue fire burning in her hands.
"Let her go Tamsin! I'm gonna teach this little fire starting brat a lesson!" Acacia yelled as she lunged forward, but was stopped by Bo grabbing her and restraining her.
"What the hell is going on?" Trick asked as he stepped between the two.
"I'll show you a fire starter you old ass bitch!" Alex yelled as her eyes flashed red.
"HEY! THERE WILL BE NO FIRES SET IN THE BAR! THINK OF ALL THE WASTED ALCOHOL!" Kenzi yelled as she ran over and grabbed the other side of her enraged girlfriend.
"Will everyone just calm the hell down?!" Bo said as she shoved Acacia back.
"I agree…" said a calm voice from the other side of the bar.
Everyone's heads whipped around to see Freya standing to the back of the Dal with her arms crossed.
"Freya…" Alex said as she let the fire fade from her hands.
"Freya we were…" Acacia stammered as she looked from Alex to the goddess before her.
"You two need to calm down and let me speak. It's sad that I come to find you both fighting. I can only imagine it's over what I discussed with you in Valhalla Acacia" Freya said as she looked to the Valkyrie elder.
"Damn fucking right it is!" Alex said as she began to walk towards Freya, but the Ember was cut off when Kenzi grabbed her arm and pulled her back in.
"Babe no. Please…" Kenzi said with pleading blue eyes. Alex sighed and rolled her eyes but stayed put beside Kenzi.
"Will someone please fill us in on what the hell is going on?" Bo asked as she glanced to Tamsin, who was equally as confused.
"Go ahead there Queen bee, wanna tell them what the fighting is for?" Acacia said as she crossed her arms.
"Of course, that's why I'm here isn't it?" Freya said as she gave a daring glance towards Acacia.
"Alright, enough with the bitchy secretive staring. What is going on and why is my sister trying to kill my aunt?" Tamsin said as she crossed her arms and gave a raise to her eyebrow.
"I suggested that you all meet with Odin now and try to reach an understanding to buy you all time to figure out how you are going to protect Bo and Tamsin's baby…" Freya said as she looked around the room.
"Why do I sense something not so good following that statement?" Bo said as she took a defensive stance. Tamsin could feel the anger and rage fueling from not knowing the current situation, so she walked over beside Bo and grabbed the Succubus's hand tightly.
"But in order to do that you will need the full strength of the four of you, which would mean we would have to send Kenzi into her Dawning early, if we don't Odin could use that against you and that is the last thing we would want is for him to have the upper hand. With the four of you at full power he knows he would have to postpone any plans he's brewing in the afterlife" Freya said as her eyes locked on Kenzi's.
"Which is WHY I was about to light Granny's fucking corpse up in flames! Kenzi isn't ready and I just got my damn memories back! I'll be damned if I lose her now!" Alex yelled as her eyes flashed red.
"I'm with Alex on this! Freya we JUST found out about her Dawning! We haven't had any time to train her! I'm not going to let her do this!" Tamsin screamed as she marched up beside her sister, ready to fight the world to ensure Kenzi's safety.
"This is such bull shit! There has to be another way! So we go and meet with Odin in a few days and while we do that we train Kenzi, that way if the asshole wants to send her in early she'll have more power to actually survive this! I'm not letting her do this!" Bo said in fear as she started to move towards Kenzi.
"You dumb bitches don't get it do you? The longer you wait to meet with Odin the more we ALL lose! Seriously let her fucking do it! If she passes then guess what… WE HAVE MORE CARDS IN OUR FUCKING HANDS!" Acacia yelled as she threw her hands in the air.
"Acacia! You know this is not right! This is not how we do things in our world" Trick said as he crossed his arms.
"Acacia is right. The longer you four wait to reach your full potential, the greater loss you will all face. This is the best option. I have the ability to send her in earlier, I feel as though she can pass. I can send her in with a companion, which is different than a hand. If Kenzi succeeds then they both will come out alive" Freya said as she tried to reason with the group.
"Yeah and if she fails? What the hell happens then?" Alex said as she fought the urge to sent the building on fire.
"I'm not letting Kenzi AND one of us die! This is so fucked up! The three of us can go and we can leave Kenzi here as our back up! Use her as a fucking ambush or some shit! Odin won't be able to tell shit!" Tamsin screamed as she felt the Valkyrie in her fighting to get loose.
Throughout all the bickering in the room, Bo finally glanced over towards Kenzi, who was lost in her thoughts.
"If I pass my Dawning, does it mean we have a better chance at stopping Odin from whatever he's planning to get to my awesomeness that is my God baby?" Kenzi asked as she looked to Freya.
"Yes… If you pass you'll gain so much more control over your abilities. You will all be able to protect each other better, and battle Odin if nessecary. You can try meeting with him now, but it won't buy you much time, I have heard whispers he is planning on attacking soon. He wants Bo and the baby and he plans on using that as a pawn to pull you all in. If Odin can get the four of you under his rule then the possibilities are endless…" Freya said as she looked into Kenzi's eyes.
"He won't get us on his damn side! I've played for that team and it sucks ass! I'm not letting my damn family deal with him! He's not getting my wife, my baby OR my moms!" Tamsin said as she flipped a chair over that was beside her.
"NO! FUCK THAT!" Alex said as she went to move forward, but was stopped by Kenzi's tight grip.
"I'll do it…" Kenzi said as she looked into Freya's eyes.
"KENZI!" Trick said in shock.
"What the hell?! NO!" Alex yelled as she turned and looked to her girlfriend with tears burning in her eyes.
"If she's going then I'm going with her…" Bo said as she looked over to Kenzi, who gave a nod and half smile in her bestie's direction.
"Bo… No…" Tamsin said as she felt her heart stop beating.
