Chapter 13

"I have found a lump" He replied pointing to the right side of his stomach.

"Right well will you let me examine you?" Poppy asked pushing her chair back and standing up.

Nodding, Harry led the way out of her office and lay down on his bed. Lifting up his t-shirt he pointed to where he had discovered it.

"Let me see then"

After a few moments Poppy sighed and stood up straighter well there is definitely a hard lump there. "Wait for a couple of days and see if it goes away and if you have any symptoms such as nausea, dizziness you must come to me"

"I have already had nausea and pain" whispered, Harry fearing the worst.

"I can give you a potion to calm it down, but if these symptoms continue on a daily basis then you may need to go into hospital for further treatment" replied Poppy.

"But that would be dangerous with you know who being out there waiting for his moment to attack" said Harry worriedly.

"Yes well we will deal with it when or if the time comes to that" she said.

I don't want anyone to know about this until I know for certain what we are dealing with…um patient confidentiality" he asked unsure.

"Yes of course" she agreed.

This made Harry happy that he didn't want anyone else to worry even more about him and he settled down.

Half an hour later Poppy came back with some more potion for him to take and he was drinking it when Sirius, Hermione and Ron came in.

"What's that for?" Sirius asked curiously.

"Just a bad headache" Poppy answered for him and Harry smiled gratefully. He could see Hermione wasn't convinced and could see she was wanting to say something but she decided to keep quiet instead.

"It's a beautiful evening, how about a walk around the castle again?" asked Sirius.

Nodding eagerly Harry slipped out of bed and stood up. 'The potion is working for the moment' he thought as they headed out of the hospital wing.

'It indeed a beautiful evening' he thought once away from the double wooden doors. "Where's Ginny?" he asked noticing that she wasn't there.

"With Dean her boyfriend in diagone alley for the day. They have been dating all summer" said Ron. "Slick git if you ask me"

Harry felt the wind had been knocked out of him, he was bitterly disappointed about this piece of news. 'She was dating someone else and he had left it too late. He should have asked if she would go out with him but he had been too afraid to do so because of what Ron would think if he would be dating his sister' he thought miserably as he tried to hide his feelings which was difficult as Hermione was watching him.

"Can we go to the library?" he asked "I would like a book to read tonight?"

"Yes sure" said Sirius heading in that direction.

Once there Harry saw a white line across the door way to the restricted section. "What's that line for?" he asked pointing.

"What line?" Hermione asked standing next to him.

"There's a line across the doorway" he said pointing.

"I can't see anything" replied Sirius.

"Neither can i" said Ron going over to the doorway.

"Must be those new abilities of yours" said Hermione. "It would be a spell to keep people out"

"Hmm…" said Harry thoughtfully and wandered off to find an interesting book to read.

After choosing a history of Hogwarts he asked Sirius "where to now?" feeling he had more energy to burn.

"Where ever you want to go"

"Um I haven't seen the other me for a while. What is he up to?"

"I have no idea"

"We could try the Gryffindor common room and see if he is there if you want" said Hermione coming to stand beside them holding a book of her own.

"Yes ok" Harry replied leading the way out of the library.

Once they reached the common room doorway he didn't know the password so he left it to Hermione and she led the way in once they were granted passage through the portrait.

Stepping into the room he saw himself sitting playing chess with Malfoy. 'It was like seeing a twin' he thought nervously.

"Oh hello enjoying your time in the hospital wing" he asked looking up.

"Not particularly I needed some time away"

"Someone has a headache coming on" said the other Harry frowning.

"What do you mean how do you know that?" asked Ron.

"I am an Empath" the other Harry replied.

"I can feel what other people are feeling and I would say that someone is pretty heartbroken if you ask me and someone has a headache coming on. If it's you Harry then it is probably because you are not using your new abilities. You must use them every day or you get a really bad headache that won't go away until you use the new magic abilities you have"

"Really" Harry asked the other one.

"Yes, it will go away once you use them"

"Ok then. Can we go back to the hospital wing?" he asked as he was suddenly tired and had a headache coming on and he wanted to use his powers to see if it will go away in his own time and space in the privacy of the hospital wing.

"Right then. Be seeing you" said Sirius stepping away.

"Of course you will" said the other Harry going back to his chess game with Malfoy who kept quiet during the entire conversation.

Hermione and Ron stayed behind and settled down for the night while Harry and Sirius walked back to the hospital wing in silence.

When he got there he stifled a yawn and was indeed tired after their adventure for the day. But he needed to get rid of the headache so when Sirius bade him goodnight he sat on his bed and placed the book on the table. Concentrating on the book he managed to make it disappear in the shiny swirl of blue light and it materialized a few seconds later in his hands.

Feeling much better after words he got up from bed and picked up his book and walked over to the other bed and placed it there. Going back to his bed he once again concentrated on the book, trying from a distance he saw it disappear and materialize back in his hands a few seconds later and he felt that he was getting a hang on this nifty power he had.

Feeling more rebellious despite being tired he concentrated on the other bed and his vision went blank and when it cleared a few seconds later he found himself on the other bed at the far side of the room.

Pleased with himself he noticed the sick feeling he had at the beginning had worn off and he didn't use up as much energy which was good so he could orb anywhere in the castle he wanted.

Deciding that was enough use of magic for one night he concentrated on his bed and a few seconds later he found himself back on his bed. He quickly changed into his pyjamas and went to the bathroom and cleaned his teeth and washed his face, then went back to bed wondering if Ginny had returned from her outing. Yawning he thought that he may not get any sleep worrying about the lump and Voldemort, but as soon as his head hit the pillow he found sleep came as soon as he closed his eyes.
