It was quiet the whole ride. They drove through what seemed like the country. Soon, they came across a lonely shop in the middle of nowhere. As soon as they parked, the shop door slid open. To reveal a man with short blonde hair and a stripped hat covering his eyes. He wore a green coat over a white shirt, pants, and clogs. He opened a folded fan and waved their way. "Who the hell is this guy?" Grimmjow asked. Angel climbed out of the passenger seat and waved back. He looked back in the car and signaled them to follow.
"So what brings you to my shop, Angel? Here to buy some more toys?" the blonde man teased behind his fan as everyone sat around large table. "No. I brought some friends to talk about your Converusion project." Angel answered. "Toys?" Shiro questioned out of curiosity, but Angel only smiled at him. "I see. Why not introduce us, before I answer any questions?" The blonde suggested. " Nikki, Shiro, Grimmjow, this is Kisuke Urahara. The very first scientist to perfect the project."
"Pleased to meet you all. Would you like some tea?"
"No thank you." They all agreed. "Alright, you didn't come here for pleasantries. I assume that you've come across some of my….successful attempt to save lives."
"Save lives?" Grimmjow questioned. "Well, the purpose of the project was to save human, who were terminally ill, on the verge of dying, dead, or severely injured. I used animal in hopes that their regenerative cells could save lives." Kisuke explained. "So you mean my brother was dying from somethin?" Shiro asked. "First, I must know who you're speaking of. I'm not the only one that participated in this project. Do you have a picture of your brother?"
Shiro pulled out a picture of him and his brother when they were at least ten. Nikki pulled out a picture of Kurai, about five years old. "This is my nephew, Kurai." Nikki answered. Kisuke examined the pictures. "My memories is a little fuzzy. Tell me something about them." Kisuke spoke. "They were college graduates and they went on a vacation a few months ago. We just found them almost two months ago." Nikki explained. "Ah, the students. That's quite the story."
"Do you know what happened to them? I was told that the plane landed, but they weren't on it." Nikki asked. "The plane never landed in Japan. There was an engine failure and the plane crashed on one of my colleagues islands." Kisuke explained. "Most of the passengers died on impact. Surprisingly, those two were breathing, but they were severely injured and were going in and out of consciousness. There were over two hundred people on the plane. He sent the injured ones to me and he worked on the dead and dying ones." Kisuke explained. "Out of the fifty I received, only thirty survived."
"Why would they lie about them ever landing?" Nikki asked. So many questions ran through his mind. 'I'm not sure why. But i did explain to the families what happened."
"The hell you did?" Shiro yelled. "Why weren't we told?" Shiro slammed his fist on the table. "We're family! Why the hell were we left out?!"
Angel rested a hand on Shiro's shoulder. "Calm down, he'll explain." Shiro's body tensed , but he listened. "For some reason, a handful of their files were completely erased I had no idea who their next of kin was."
Confusion was etched onto everyone's face. "It's the truth. I'm still trying to figure out a motive for such extreme action. I am glad they were able to find family. Someone broke into my lab and a few of the survivors went missing, including those two." Kisuke explained. "Great. Another piece of a fucking puzzle is missing." Grimmjow stood up from the table and left. "Grimmjow." Nikki called out, but he ignored the blonde man. "He's grown attached, I assume." Kisuke predicted. "One of them lives with Grimmjow." Nikki answered. "Kisuke."
"Hm?" He turned to Angel. "I wanted to know if you could help them disguise Kurai and Ichigo. Like how you helped Alec." Angel asked. "Too scared to come outside?" Kisuke asked. Nikki nods. "I took the liberty of taking the pictures and videos down for you. I was hoping you'd find out where I was, so I could help." Kisuke admitted, since they were confused. "Stay here."
Kisuke left and came back with two backpacks. "This is for them. Have them wear these items and they should disguise their ears and tail." Kisuke handed one to Shiro and the other to Nikki. They opened the bag and pulled out a few chokers, a hoodie, a pair of jeans. "That is free of charge. If you want more, you'll have to pay."
Nikki raised an eyebrow and Shiro scowled at Kisuke. "I'm a legitimate business man as well. These materials don't come cheap." He spoke, waving the fan in his face. Nikki sighed. "How much?" Nikki asked, pulling out his checkbook and a pen. Shiro set the bag down and left the room, while Nikki wrote out the check. Nikki watched him leave with slight worry.

Golden eyes scanned the barren land for the stubborn man. He was nowhere to be found. So he stepped out and looked towards the roof. There was a lone figure looking up at the stars with his arm resting behind his head. Shiro sighed and begin to climb the store. He stood above the figure and closed eyes open to look directly at him. He started to move to get away from the albino. "I ain't come up here for trouble." SHiro told him, but that didn't stop him. Shiro rolled his eyes and grabbed a fistful of hair. He pulled the blue haired man back and sat on his stomach, while still holding on to his hair. "The fuck are you doing, you bastard?!" Grimmjow yelled while grabbing onto Shiro's wrist.
Shiro pushed his head back, making sure it hit the roof, hard. With his free hand, Shiro pulled out a loaded gun and pointed it at his head. "Shut the fuck up and let me talk." Grimmjow said nothing and just glared. Shiro closed his eyes and sighed. "I'm sorry." Grimmjow narrowed his eyes at Shiro. "It wasn't supposed to happen the way it did. You were only supposed to drop it off and they'd let you leave."
"The hell are you talking about, Kurosaki?"
"I did lie about my boss asking for your help. I had a prior engagement and promised I'd be there. You weren't supposed ta be the guinea pig, I was."
"So you set me up, you bastard!" Grimmjow yelled, struggling to get him off. "No! I didn't set you up. Just like you, I didn't know what it was for. I thought it was just a simple message that couldn't be sent electronically. I thought it was just bein a messenger, ya know?"
"I waited for you at the bar and when you didn't show. I started ta worry, so yeah, I did go to tha meeting place. Some of tha flunkies were there. Asked me why I wasn't in there and who ya were. Yeah, that was me looking."
*Flashback*
Shiro parked the car behind the warehouse and hurried to the back door. He stopped when he saw a few familiar faces by the door. He jogged over to them and tapped one of them on the shoulder. The hell's goin on?!"
The leader of the four men walked over to Shiro. The large man towered over Shiro at least by four feet. His large hand grabbed the back of Shiro's head and slammed it against the ground three times. He then threw the confused albino into a nearby chain-link fence. Shiro dropped to his knees holding his nose. "What the hell was that for?"
"You little shit. Who do you think you are giving that package to an outsider?" The large man grabbed the front of his shirt and lifted him off the ground. "What tha fuck does it matter? The package was delivered and the messenger went home." Shiro claimed. "Oh, is that what you think?" The attacker dragged the confused albino into the warehouse and pushed to into one of the pillars, hitting his head against the hard metal. Shiro stumbled back, holding his aching head. "Bastard." He muttered and leaned against the pillar. He looked toward a large opening where there was nothing but an empty throne and a few dozen men surrounding something. Golden eyes grew as wide as saucer as he watched his best friend being forced to kiss the client and his clothes were ripped off his body.
'No. No. No. No. It's my fault.' The shock from his face dropped and was now void of emotion. Although his eyes betrayed remorse, confusion, and anger. This wasn't supposed to happen. For a split second, blue eyes locked with golden. Shiro could see hurt, betrayal, and anger. He felt as if he was stabbed through the heart. But what could he do, it was all his fault. As soon as Grimmjow was turned away, Shiro was snatched from the scene and thrown back outside. "As punishment for not taking his place." Two other henchmen held him to the ground. The man spoke as he was stabbed in the stomach. Shiro gritted his teeth and watched as one of the men's hand forced its way further in.
He closed his eyes and bit his tongue, fighting away the pain. When the first henchman removed his bloody hand, he pulled out a small remote. "Let's see if it works." The man flipped a switch an a stong electric current swam throughout Shiro's whole body. His body convulsed and his eyes in the back of his head. The man flipped the switched again and Shiro took a deep breath trying to regain his composure. He crawled away from them men, until the switch was flipped again.
He squeezed his eyes shut and bit back a scream. The men laughed as they flipped the switch again. The searing pain ended once more and his body felt like lead. "Insurance, so ya don't do any stupid shit. Stay away from him or we'll kill him. Then we'll go after your brother." The men threatened, before losing consciousness. 'I'm sorry, Grimmjow. I fucked up.'
*End Flashback*
Guilt and sadness made him lower the gun, from his former friend's head. "Why the hell should I believe you? They said it was your idea to bring in an outsider as bait."
Shiro shook his head. "I didn't know. I swear." With his free hand, Shiro lifted up his shirt to show a horizontal scar on the left side of his belly button. Strange spider like veins like marking spread up to his chest. "If they ever found out I was talking to you, they'd kill you and Ichi." Shiro answered, but Grimmjow was suspicious. "You were my only friend, Grimm. You still are my friend. It hurt more than words could say, to see you like that. I'd give anything to take it back. I shouldn't have asked you." Shiro dropped the gun and let go of Grimmjow's hair. When Shiro climbed off, Grimmjow sat up and eyed him carefully. What the albino does next, leaves him shocked. He watched Shiro's forehead touch the roof. His hands rested in front of his head. His arms angled at a diamond shape. He's bowing? He's never bowed to anyone. "You and Ichigo were all I had left. You were my only friend and he was my only family. Please. I didn't mean for this ta happen, honest. I'm sorry, for everything." Shiro apologized over and over again.
The story, Shiro apologizing and bowing? Shiro never betrayed him before, in all the years of them being good friends. Grimmjow inwardly groan. "Dammit. Get the hell up."
"Not until you forgive me."" Shiro refused. "Alright, fine! I forgive you." Shiro sat up with hopeful eyes. "ya really mean it, or ya just fuckin with me?" Grimmjow combed through his hair and sighed. "No I'm not fucking with you. You bowing before anyone, including me, is enough. Shit, must been real important for ya to do this."
"Yeah!" Shiro punched the air in excitement and Grimmjow rolled his eyes. "Gotta go, they'll kill me if they know im here wit ya." Shiro climbed off the roof and landed in front of the doorway. As soon as he did, the door opened to reveal Angel and Nikki holding a few suitcases. "What's with tha suitcases?" Shiro questioned. "Clothes that help camouflage their ears and tail, when they leave the house." Nikki answered. Grimmjow climbed down and helped with the suitcases.
"Bye. Bye. Come back soon." Kisuke bid his new customers farewell and watched the car drive off. "now, why are you still here?" Kisuke turned to Shiro, who leaned against the wall. "I neeed your help with something."
"Want me to remove that chip in your stomach?"
Shiro eyed him suspiciously. "Thin walls. Quite the speech."
Shiro scowled. "Whatever. Can ya help or not?"
Kisuke waved the fan in front of his face. "For a price, of course."
Shiro stiffened at the thought, but nodded anyway. "Fine. What do I need to do?"
