He was jolted awake by the sound of his cell phone ringing. He frantically looked around until he was able to comprehend his surroundings. He looked at his alarm clock and it read twelve thirty a.m. He groaned loudly in aggravation and reached for the still ringing phone, next to the alarm clock. He answered the phone and turned it on speaker. He dropped his head on the pillow and spoke. "What do you want?"

"Hello, baby?" A quiet female voice spoke up. He opened one eye, but didn't dare move. "The hell are you calling me for? Don't call me that."

"I miss you. Come back home." The voice pleaded. "After you accused me of cheating, used your dad to have me legally kicked out of my own place, and burned all of my clothes?" There was a pause on the other end of the phone. "I was just angry, baby. I love you come back, I'll do whatever you want me to. I love you so much."

Rayne groaned out and sandwiched his face in between the pillows. "You're such a liar." He grumbled. "What was that?"

Rayne removed the pillow and reached for his phone. He hung up, muted the phone, and went back to sleep. "Finally." Rayne sighed in relief. Soon, something tickled his nose. His eyes slowly open but nothing was there. "Hmm. I'll never get any sleep." He muttered as he felt something move under the cover and rest on his lower back. "Come on, Silv. I just want to sleep." Rayne whined as the little fox climbed up his back to his head. He hopped off Rayne's head and curl into a ball, next to Rayne's face.

"Can I sleep now, or am I doomed for insomnia?" Silv rubbed its nose against his own and then went to sleep.

The next morning

Rayne slammed his hand against his blaringly loud alarm clock. When the noise stopped he forced himself out of bed and heads straight for the bathroom to take a shower. Since he was half asleep, he didn't notice that he was being followed, even after he closed the door. Silv watched his new friend step into the shower and turn on the water. He slowly crept closer to the shower door, with a mischievous aura surrounding him.

As he crept closer, his body began to change. Paws began changing to hands and feet. His body became longer and slimmer. Fur was replaced with clear white skin. Silver colored hair grew atop his head and hit his mid back. The ears and bushy tail remained. The body stood tall and stretched. Long slender fingers touch the hot surface of the glass. He stayed that way for the remainder of shower time. As soon as the shower was turned off, Silv backed away from the door. He heard a clicking sound and then retreated back to his fox form. His tail swayed to the left and then the right as Rayne opened the door.

"Oh, Silv. What's up?" Rayne greeted as he grabbed the towel on the nearby rack. "Hungry?" Silv followed Rayne out of the bathroom and into the bedroom. He watched Rayne change and followed him into the kitchen. Rayne searched for something that they both could eat. He heard a small thud, so he turned around to see Silv sitting in front of a box. "Hm?"

Rayne stood in front of Silv and examined the box. "My dried persimmons? You want these?" Rayne asked and the fox tilted his head. "If you want these then that's fine." Rayne reached into a cabinet and pulled out a bowl. He poured some of the persimmons into a bowl and set them in front of Silv. As the excited fox ate, Rayne looked through the ingredients, thinking about all of the food possibilities.

Nikki yawned and stretched while walking down the stairs. He heard a small commotion at the bottom of the steps. "Why do you keep asking me about my so called 'toys'?" Angel walked by the stair case with Shiro following. "Cuz yer hot and the mention of toys make me curious bout ya." Shiro answered. Angel rolls his eyes and folds his arms. "Come oooooon. Why can't ya tell me? Please?" Shiro practically begged. "It's none of your business." Angel answered and walked away, leaving a dejected Shiro , who slouched over and frowned. By this time, Nikki was standing next to him.

"If it makes you feel better, he's at least entertained by you." Nikki answered and Shiro looked at him in confusion. "Angel is….very particular about people. He's a private person as well. It wouldn't have been pleasant for you if he didn't like you." Nikki explained.

"So….I might have a chance?"

"A higher chance than others, I'd say. It's not like you're an unattractive, creepy slob."

The last comment caught Shiro off guard. "I never thought you were unattractive. I just fell in love with someone else, Shi." Nikki confessed. Shiro looked from Nikki to Angel's retreating form and smirked. "Oi, Red!" Shiro called and followed Angel into another room. Nikki went into the kitchen to see Murci in front of the stove. Kurai, Ichigo, and Alec sat at the island Ichigo and Kurai was playing a board game. Alec sketched out a few drawings. "I see Alec has warmed up to Kurai and Ichigo." Nikki commented, making Murci turn around. "Yeah. After that hug, he didn't seem so tense." Murci answered. "That's great. Alec."

The neko looked up from his drawings to Nikki. "You're welcome to come by anytime you like." He invited and held out his hand for Alec to shake. Alec nods and gripped the outstretched hand firmly. "You guys ready to eat?" Murci asked. "Of course." Nikki answered for everyone. "Where's Grimmjow?"

"He went back home." Murci answered. "Without Ichigo and Pantera?"

Ichigo paused in moving his piece, realizing that Grimmjow was indeed gone. "I think he's coming back later." Murci reassured the orange haired neko. Was he really coming back today? Or would he be here for a few days, again? Speaking of Pantera, she rubbed her head against Ichigo's leg, gaining his attention. He reached down and scratched behind her ears receiving a low purr in response.

"I'll go get Shiro and Angel." Nikki volunteered and left the kitchen. "Hey Kurai." The raven looked up from the game, giving Murci his attention. Murci opened his mouth to speak but shut it. "Never mind." Murci pushed his thought away and prepped the plates. Kurai was now curious. Murci wouldn't call his name for nothing. What did he want?

Grimmjow climbed out of his car, carrying several bags of groceries. Earlier this morning, he realized that he hadn't bought enough food. Ichigo would've been pissed off even more than Pant would. But at least they weren't with strangers. He hoped he could apologize by giving Ichigo box of his favorite chocolates. Chocolate, seemed to be one of the younger man's weakness. It wasn't the first time he used chocolate as an apology. But would it work the second time?

He made his way up the stairs to his door, when he heard scratching. Being careful, he moved closer to the door and there was a small white fur ball scratching his door. "Oi!" He yelled, getting the little furball's attention It was a fox with black tipped ears, tail, and paws. It had silver eyes as well. It crouched down ready to pounce or run off. It didn't seem sure what was safer for it. "I ain't gonna hurt ya. Why ya scratchin on my door, kit?" The fox relaxed and sat on its hind legs. It turned to the door with its ears flattened. "Somethin in there for ya?"

Grimmjow walked to the door and set his bags down. He pulled out his keys and unlocked the door. As soon as he opened it, the foxed dashed through the living room. "Slow down, Kit!" The fox ran straight for Rayne's room. "What the-" He heard his roommate's outburst. Grimmjow picked up the groceries and headed inside. As he closed the door with his foot, Rayne came out holding two foxes. One the left was the one Grimmjow let in. The one on the right was as white as snow with closed eyes.

"So that's what ya wanted, Kit." The one he called Kit rubbed its nose. "Made a new friend, Rayne?" He asked as he began putting the groceries away. "Uh, yeah. He was in the rain outside. I couldn't let him stay out there." Rayne answered, while looking down at Silv. "Hm. Well, Kit was scratching the door. Maybe your friend left him hangin by accident." Grimmjow suggested. "But I didn't see him outside."

"Well, they're reunited now, so I doesn't really matter." Grimmjow put the groceries away and headed for the door, but not before grabbing the chocolates. "Where are you going? You just got here." Rayne questioned. "I left Pant and Ich at a friend's house. Ya miss me already?" Grimmjow teased and Rayne scowled. "No."

"Then why ya car where I'm going?"

Rayne stomped his foot. "Well excuse me for wanting some human contact every once in a while."

Grimmjow rolled his eyes. "Wanna go?"

Rayne smiled before hurrying back to his room to change. "Pack a bag! Might be staying there for the remainder of the vacation."

"Okay! Thanks."

"Brat." The blue haired man shook his head and chuckling. He raised an eyebrow when Rayne peeked out of the doorway. "Can we keep Silv and his friend?"

Grimmjow debated whether he should tell them that they might not be ordinary foxes. He was sure Rayne knew that already. Least he hoped Rayne did. "Alright. They're your responsibility."

"Cool." Rayne agreed to the terms, but there was another problem. "I can't think of a name for him. Can you?" Grimmjow looked at the black tipped fox. Its eyes reminded him of someone. Could it be? "Nao. Name him Nao."
