Holy MOLEY. It's been just over TWO YEARS since I've updated this story. Well, better late than never?

Poor Kirino has had three chapters in a row about him. R.I.P.

The OC is once again Yazawa Riony from my good friend Twilight-A-16!

Ever since the first time Kirino had seen her, he'd thought she was cute.

Thought she was nice.

Thought that she'd never hurt a fly.

Never could he have imagined the horrors that she held inside her.

It all started his senior year of high school. When he walked into his classroom on the first day of school, he didn't expect to see any new faces. After all, it was their senior year. People don't normally change schools during their last year. But as he looked over the crowd of people, he recognized everyone-except for one person sitting at their desk by themselves in the back of the classroom.

Her dark brown eyes were round and kind-looking, and her lilac hair was long and pretty, with part of it braided behind her head. The blue headband she wore was rather cute, if he was being honest with himself. She was looking around at the various people chatting away, nervousness in her eyes. She seemed uncomfortable and almost a bit lonely. Not wanting her to feel that way on her first day, he decided to take the initiative and talk to her. After all, the teacher wasn't there yet.

"I didn't expect to see a new face in here," Kirino said as he walked up to her desk.

She turned to him, her eyes widening as if she couldn't believe he had actually talked to her. "U-uh..." she stuttered.

Kirino couldn't help but chuckle a bit. "Don't worry, I don't bite. My name's Kirino Ranmaru. What's yours?"

After a slight pause, she got over her momentary shock and answered, "Y-Yazawa Riony."

"Ah, I see. Nice to meet you, Yazawa-san." Kirino smiled at her. She smiled back.

Before either could say anything else, the teacher came in. "Alright, everyone, sit down at your desks."

"Ah, I'll talk to you later, then. It was good to meet you, Yazawa-san!" Kirino said before hurrying to his desk.

"You too..." Yazawa smiled again. Kirino turned around before he had a chance to see the blush on her face.

At Raimon High, the club activities didn't start until the week after school began, in order to allow everyone to get settled in and decide what clubs they wanted to be in altogether. Thus, since the soccer club wasn't meeting, Kirino had to head home straight from school for that week.

To his surprise, Yazawa seemed to follow the same route home that he did. He spotted her ahead of him-she must have left a little earlier than he did-and he started jogging to catch up. "Hey, Yazawa-san!" he called out to her.

Startled, she turned around. "Kirino-san?"

"Yeah." It didn't take him much time to catch up with her. He was on the soccer club, after all. "Do you go this way home, too?"

She nodded sheepishly.

"Let's walk together, then," Kirino said as he smiled, falling into place beside her.

"...Sure!" Once again, he missed the blush that creeped onto her cheeks.

And so, that's how the two ended up walking home together the entire week. In truth, Kirino's original objective was to be friendly so that the new girl wouldn't feel so lonely, but as the week went on, he started to truly enjoy her company. Their conversations grew more personal. She told him about how uneasy she was about relocating to a new school so late because of her father's work, and he told her stories of his experiences with his middle school soccer team. By the end of the week, they knew each other well and had become good friends. In fact, Kirino had to admit that he might have had a small crush on the girl. Was it mutual?

Oh, he had no idea.

The bell rang, announcing the end of class.

Yazawa walked up to her new friend's desk. "Shall we go, Kirino?"

Crap. Kirino had completely forgotten to tell her about how he had soccer practice!

He frowned apologetically. "I'm so sorry, Yazawa, I can't walk home with you today."

He winced at the disappointment on her face. "Oh...o-okay. Why not?" she asked.

"I have soccer practice after school now...so...I probably won't be able to walk home at all anymore..." He felt awful. She hadn't really made any friends besides him...

Before he had too much time to say anything, though, he caught a glimpse of the clock on the wall behind her. "Agh! I'm gonna be late!" He grabbed his bag, rushing towards the door. "I'm so sorry, Yazawa, but I'll have to talk to you later!" With that, he left the room.

This was the third time he'd failed to catch an emotion on her face. But this time, it wasn't blushing. Oh, no. This time, it was an expression of crushing sadness. Why? Why was he leaving her? Were those people more important than her? ...Were they...? They...they would pay...for taking him away...!

If any of the classmates still remaining in the room saw her eyes turn from dull to fierce, from sad to wrathful, from dark brown to fiery orange, then they were too scared to say anything.

As soon as Kirino arrived at the clubroom, he came to a horrific realization.

"Aw, man! I left my homework in my desk!" Kirino sighed in exasperation. He was so worried about being late that he forgot to grab it!

Kariya burst into laughter, slapping his senpai's back a few times. "Wow! You're such an idiot!" he gulped out between his giggles. Without batting an eye, Kirino swatted his hand away.

Shindou rolled his eyes at their antics. "The school building shouldn't be locked up yet; you should have time to go and get it."

"Yeah...I can't believe I did that." Kirino sighed again.

"I can."

"Shut up, Kariya."

"We'll go with you," Shindou offered.

"We will?"

"Yes, Kariya, we will."

"Thanks, guys. Lets hurry then."

Little did he know, a certain someone was staring at them through the window. Her eyes were soft on Kirino, but as soon as her gaze moved to Kariya and Shindou, she began glaring daggers at them. They. They should be first. They were too friendly with him! She wanted so badly to jump out and tear them apart! But she must be patient. This was her chance to get everyone else in the soccer club! They were all together. Those people who took priority over her in Kirino's beautiful eyes.

With a smirk, she looked down at her hands. None of them would be able to stand a chance.

"We just barely managed to get there!" Kirino said in relief as they stood in front of the club room.

"Yeah. I can't believe you made us run," Kariya complained.

"Shush. You're on the soccer team; you're used to running. Let's just get back inside." Shindou said, his hand on the door. When he opened it, however, he noticed something strange. "Why are the lights off?"

The three entered. Kariya slapped a hand over his nose immediately. "Ugh, what is that smell?!"

Hesitantly, Kirino reached over and flipped on the light. What they saw was what they could never have expected.

Every. Single. Member. They were all scattered through the room. Each one had a puddle of bright red underneath them. Each one looked like they had been torn apart. Each one was dead.

Shindou covered his mouth, but that did nothing to hold back the vomit that came out of his mouth. Kariya started screaming; falling onto his backside. Kirino just stood, his eyes wide, taking in the grotesque scene. Tenma, Tsurugi, Shinsuke, Hikaru, Hayami, Aoyama, Nishiki, even the managers...everyone. Who on earth would do this?

"Ah, you're back."

That voice...no. No, no, no. Not her. Please, not her.

But there was a purple blur in the corner of his eye, and Shindou fell to the ground beside him. Against his will, his eyes moved ever-so-slowly to look at his friend. Or, what used to be his friend. A figure with lilac hair bent over Shindou, cackling.

God, please, no.

She smiled at Kirino. Despite the craziness in her expression, and-oh lord, her eyes were orange now-it was her smile.

She stood up. Kirino tried to will himself to run out the door. But that wasn't happening; his legs were shaking too badly to move.

She stepped over to Kariya. By now, the boy had screamed so much that no more sound was coming out. He back away from her until he hit a wall. Now, Kirino got a good look at her hands-what was she wearing? Were those gloves with...metal plates on the fingertips? They were covered with blood. In fact, she had blood all the way up her arms. Oh man-those weren't-those weren't her weapons, were they?

His suspicions were confirmed when she reached out and grabbed Kariya's arm, then pulled it back, ripping off a chunk of his arm in the process. Kariya tried to scream. Only gurgles came out. Kirino watched in horror as she literally tore apart one of his best friends.

Kariya stopped breathing.

She stood again, turning around and smiling at him again. Her eyes were brown again.

"Y-Yazawa...w-why?" His voice was barely a whisper. He wasn't sure if he'd even managed to speak.

"Why?" She looked confused, but then her brow furrowed. "I'll tell you why. I was so upset about having to move here. No one bothered to talk to me. I was so lonely...but then you came up and said hi. You were so nice to me. You became my friend. You made me fall in love with you in such a short time..." She smiled wistfully.

Kirino swallowed. Fall in love...? Sure, he'd liked her, but he wasn't in love with her! Especially after this...

"You walked home with me every day. I was so happy that someone like you was so nice to me...but then. Then, this soccer club took you away from me! I thought we would be able to be together forever! But they took you away! Especially those two!" She gestured frantically to the two mangled corpses beside his feet. Her expression softened. "But it's okay now. Now, no one can get in our way."

Kirino choked out a sob. She didn't seem to notice.

"Ranmaru...let's go home together." She took a step toward him.

"NO!" He took a step back.

Her face dropped. She looked...crushed. She looked down at the blood on her hands. "Even after...even after I made sure no one else could take you away from me..." Slowly, she looked back up at him. Her eyes filled with insanity, turning into that sickly, piercing orange again. "I see...I still can't have you."

She took a step toward him. He backed up. He hit a wall.

"If I can't have you...no one can..." Tears started pouring down her face as she cornered him.

Kirino was crying his own tears-for a different reason, of course. He slid down the wall, staring into the eyes of the girl who was once his friend.

He screamed, but no one came. He thrashed, but he couldn't shake her off. Finally, his screams cut off abruptly.

Yazawa Riony stared down at the love of her life with tearful eyes, cradling his body. "I'm so sorry..."

"I had to do it."
