CHAPTER 57

The morning came and Ryoma had found himself in a bit of a problem. He was stuck. Gen had wrapped both his arms and legs round him and the covers where too warm. The cat had tried several times to escape, but it only caused the other to tighten his grip. Letting out a frustrated growl he looked around as best he could. He huffed, nothing was going to work. Looking he saw Gen's neck in sight. He wanted to try again, was all he could think. The boy had after 5 minutes of completing his so called master piece on the Rikkaidai's student neck had passed out, again.

He felt himself being shaken awake by Gen when the other had finally decided to get up. Ryoma opening his eyes looked at the dark purple hickey he had placed on the other. "Come on Ryoma. We have school." Slowly getting up he looked around to see Mitsu still asleep. The cat went to the bed and started to poke him on the cheek. Hearing a moan and seeing the brown eyes open, looking at him. Mitsu sat up and stretched. He looked over to Gen and froze.

"Ryoma..."

"Yeah," he saw the boy smiling and seeing his tail swinging behind him.

"Did you do that to Gen?" He pointed at the other's neck.

"Yeah." Gen had stopped what he was doing and looked at them. He wanted to know what Ryoma had done to him. "I woke up earlier and started it." Mitsu was lost for words. All he could think of was that he felt sorry for the other having it in plain sight and so dark as well.

"Gen you might want to look in the mirror." Mitsu finally managed to say. Gen stopped what he was doing and left to go see what he was talking about. When the vice-captain finally returned he was also finding it hard to come up with something to say. Instead his cheeks had turned a very light pink and his hand was now covering the love bite. "Ryoma is there a reason you gave Gen one?"

"I like Gen." The boy answered before leaving the room to go get ready for the day. Mitsu groaned and Gen looked at him in question.

"I told Ryoma yesterday that when you like someone you do that. I didn't mention the word love otherwise he wouldn't of done it and Syu was all down the other day." Gen thought it over and knew what Mitsu meant.

"Well, at least I know he likes me." He said trying to look on the bright side of things. Mitsu looked at him for a second and Gen explained. "It just proves that I'm more liked by him then I thought." The captain of Seigaku paused and thought what the other said. 'Does that mean Ryoma doesn't like me as much.' Gen knew what he was doing. He knew how much everyone in this household competes to get Ryoma's attention. This was probably going to be another one of those things. By the end of it all everyone will be wanting to be marked by the boy and knowing Ryoma and his way of thinking on the subject of hickeys he would probably be glad to.

Gen could guess that was Mitsu's plan. It was the reason he called them hickeys and not love bites. The only downfall to this was that if Ryoma found out there full meaning he would most likely be upset and embarrassed or in a extreme case lose trust in them, which was something none of them would want to happen.

So downstairs Syu and Sei where already up with Ryoma and all eating. Tomo had left to attempt to wake Keigo from his beauty sleep and Mitsu had just entered the room with a smirk playing on his lips. "So what happened?" Syu asked knowing Mitsu would only show that face if something funny had happened. Mitsu instead of replying sat down and waited till they heard Gen coming down the stairs and entering the room. Syu and Sei both looked to the door and as soon as he appeared and started to choke on their food when they saw him. Sei had bang his head on the table and was snickering, while Syu was nearly in tears.

Gen was still flustered and couldn't say anything. Sure he knew Syu had one in the same spot almost, but one, it wasn't as dark as his one and two, Syu wanted it there on the side of his neck in plain sight. Like the tensai would care what others think. He knew no one would ask him, since they would rather keep away from him then suffer the consequences of asking and getting more details and hearing him exaggerate over it. Making it sound much worse than how innocent it really was.

Gen had sat down after grabbing a plate of food from the side and started to eat quietly. He could still hear the two sadist laughing slightly. Tomo had entered again followed by a still not dressed Keigo. Kei yawned as he walk in giving them all a good morning before sitting down. He looked at Gen for a second before he also started to burst out laughing. "Wow, Gen. Ore-Sama must congratulate the one who gave you that. It really is beautiful." Mitsu stood up and whispered to the monkey king who it was and Kei just laughed even more. "Brat, your a genius."

Tomo had also found it rather amusing and got an ice pack from the freezer telling Gen to leave it on for a couple of minutes and it should calm it down.

So the dark purple how now turned slightly lighter, but it was still very noticeable. Gen had left for school and Kei had to leave in about 5 minutes since he had a limo that took him. The Seigaku students and Sei had left and were nearly at the school gates when Ryoma remembered something and started to panic. "I forgot." Was all he said to get the others attention. "The bags for the tennis club." All now knowing what he meant sighed.

"Ryoma, it's fine. Just tell Ryuzaki-Sensei the truth." The boy nodded and followed them all in. Sei left to grab the boys lesson plan from the principle and the other three went to the club room to meet up with the whole team to discuss the tournament that's coming up.

When they entered everyone was either sitting on a bench or standing against the wall. Surmire was standing near the desk at the front. Ryoma hated crowds. Normally there wouldn't be this many people in at once. He unconsciously grabbed Syu's hand and stayed with him near the door so if needed, he could escape.

Syu feeling someone grab his hand, looked down and smiled when he saw the boy now slowly getting closer as well so their arms were touching. "Right," Sumire spoke loudly. Causing the boy to wince and everyone else to pay attention. "Where are the tennis supplies?" Momo being the confident one out of him and Ryoma spoke up.

"I told Ryoma to take it to the school yesterday after something came up." All members of the club except Syu looked at the boy and stared waiting for him to answer.

The cat's breathing got heavier. Was it just him or was the room getting harder and harder to breath in. Where the walls closing in as well. He tightened his grip on Syu's hand. Syu held in the pain. He had to admit the boy had one hell of a death grip. With his ever present smile he answered for Ryoma. "Ryo-Chan left them at home. He accidently forgot to take them this morning." It was when some looked to Syu they finally noticed the mark on his neck and like Syu thought no one said anything assuming it was Sei that did it to him, but that wasn't the thing to worry about in their opinion. It was the creepy smile the tensai was wearing. Sumire was about to get everyone's attention again when Horio spoke up.

"Yeah, but if Echizen brought them here yesterday then there wouldn't be this problem." Horio had his arms folded and nodded to himself. "So what's your real excuse?" Instead of getting an answer from the boy they all heard Tezuka speak.

"Horio, 20 laps and Momo 30." Horio was about to argue, but Momo beat him to it.

"Hey, Captain. What did I do wrong?" Now the trickster wouldn't normally talk back to the captain, but in his mind he hadn't done anything.

"You left him." Was all Mitsu said as he left the clubroom with Ryoma and Syu following. Syu had wanted to leave because he swore his hand has lost all circulations and was going numb. Mitsu's knowing that they where behind him stopped when he turned the corner and saw the boy clinging and shaking in fear still. The captain crouch down. "Ryoma breath. Slowly." The cat took a deep breath and exhaled slowly like he was told. He had let go of Syu hand, much to the tensai's relief and began rubbing his arm in his own comforting way.
