Chapter 35
The next day after an uneventful day of classes, Harry was taking a walk around the castle grounds by the lake by himself, not noticing that his shoelaces had come loose, when he suddenly tripped over them landing on his knees.
Wincing in pain he felt as if he had cut his knee. Sitting down where he had fallen, he lifted up his trousers and gasped. His blood was glowing a white light instead of being red.
Touching it, he felt the light come onto his fingers and stared at it.
After a couple of second the light vanished turning red back to normal. Then he felt strange and it healed by itself. Only the stain of his blood was left on his knee.
Rubbing it away, Harry could see no sign of the injury and felt shock run through him. What was going on he wondered to himself as he straightened up and headed back to the castle.
Back in the dorm, he looked for anything sharp unsuccessfully and headed to the boys bathroom.
Checking no one was there, he used his hands and smashed the mirror thankfully it wasn't a Sunday and picked up a piece of glass from the sink.
Going into a cubical, he felt scared of what he was about to do.
Lifting up his sleeve, he put the sharp end of the glass on his skin. Feeling the cold thing against it, he nearly bottled out but dug it into his flesh and cut his arm.
It glowed the same white light for a few seconds and then turned red again.
Waiting a few seconds it healed all by itself. Leaving only the stain again.
Once again, shock hit him like a stone going through him.
Staring at it he thought perhaps there was something Heather forgot to mention to him about his wounds healing.
Dropping the glass, he headed out of the bathroom and went to find the others hoping to talk to them.
Finding them studying, he saw his mother sitting not far away and he asked them if he could speak to them privately.
Once again he headed to the lake and said to them that he wanted to show them something.
They sat down on the grass and Harry looked for a sharp stone or something.
Picking up a stone, he lifted his sleeve and was about to pierce his skin when Hermione asked "what he was doing?"
Just watch he said piercing his skin and once again the white light appeared, causing his friends to gasp.
"What is that?" Hermione asked clearly shocked.
"Just watch" Harry said showing his arm.
Seeing it heal itself he could see shock on their faces.
"Oh my" said Hermione standing up taking his arm rubbing the blood away.
"I think Heather forgot to mention something when I became an elder" blurred Harry pulling at his sleeve.
"You' re wounds heal by themselves" Hermione said rubbing his arm. "It means we have to be careful not to get injured, which it going to be hard considering your powers and other things going on"
"It's going to be difficult trying not to get injured" said Harry uneasily.
"I really need to speak to Heather but she isn't answering my calls. I don't think she is in this time frame"
"I agree" said Hermione clearly unsure of what to say. Meanwhile, Ginny and Ron had kept quiet just staring at him in shock.
"Bloody hell, Harry" Ron said as they headed back to the castle.
For the rest of the evening they hung around the common room with, Harry thinking about his major problem he had to hide from everyone, including Dumbledore.
When it was bedtime, he could not sleep from worrying so he tossed and turned until exhaustion took over in the early hours of the morning.
