CHAPTER 63
After both Gen and Mitsu got caught they had both sat down and talked about Ryoma's sudden illness which had developed in less than 8 hours.
One by one the others had woken and made their way to join them for breakfast. After they finished, all of them disappeared to get ready for school. Ryoma had gotten changed, the only problem came when he had to leave the house. Mitsu was now half way out the door and trying to pry Ryoma's hands from the door frame. The cats grip was lethal. Syu and Sei watch from the outside.
"You know this seems slightly familiar. When Shan had to get Ryo-Chan out of the car and he had dug his nails into the seat." They turned back to the scene in front of them.
"Oh," Syu answered. "So how did he get him out of the car?" The tensai didn't want to see Mitsu's fail attempt end, but they really had to get to school. There was no morning practice so they left later today. Syu really didn't feel like getting a detention.
"Hmmm, I think he did the wide eyes and trembling bottom lip thing. Imagine Mitsu trying to do that." They gave glanced at each other before bursting out laughing.
"I'm glad you find this so amusing, now will you help." He gave them a stern look and in away half pleading. Eventually they had manage to separate Ryoma from the door. Syu was now holding the boy's ankles and Mitsu had gotten his arms. Once they got a distance from the house they put the boy down and Mitsu not wasting a second grabbed the boys wrist so he couldn't run back. Ryoma stopped struggling and ended up walking like normal. The captain still wouldn't take any chances of letting go of him though. Just as they were about to turn the corner into the school the cat collapsed.
(Flashback - Ryoma POV)
I don't know how this happened but I find myself running. I thought I was the only one left. Once they where done with me, I thought all the others where able to go and be free.
How wrong I was...
I saw them. There was a hallway I wasn't allowed to enter. But with me I tend to get curious. Walking down looking for who knows what, was when I heard something. The crying... the screaming. I couldn't looked though the window of the door it was too high up. I did the next best thing. I opened it. Inside made my guts twist in all sorts of ways. Children... Some younger, some older. But all of them where in pain. I had seen this before. 'Sam...' I thought to myself. I walked up to the first child who I would say was about a year older then me. "Do you want it to stop?" It was the only question I could think. The blond haired, blue eyed boy looked at me as if I was an angel. He smiled and nodded before turning to look at all the others. "Yeah, you can all rest now."
I don't want to be a killer, but when I see this and I see the faces of those who have seen to much, I can't help, but want there pain to stop for good. I don't like the screaming, it's sounds to familiar.
It was my master who had found me. I was sitting on the floor humming and rocking myself. I was covered in blood. The man didn't say anything. He just closed the door on me.
I am trapped. Master had come back now and put in the chains for my new home as he called it. Attaching them to the walls and floor.
It hurt. The pain was too much. The children I had killed where meant to be my back up. So if anything went wrong they could try it on them before me. That day I remember. It was the day I had gone though so much torture. The branding iron. I lost how many times it had been put onto my back. The other bodies where removed and put somewhere else.
These fours wall are what I remember the most from my childhood. The blood on the walls, some of it mine and the rest from the others before me, but I'll say this. What I did today I do not regret. The look on the boy's face when I shoved my hand thought his heart was one of complete peace and for now I can live with that.
I am beauty. I am 10 and if I see any other children here, I will not waste one second before I end their life. I'll show the others what freedom is in my own way.
(End Flashback - Normal POV)
Ryoma felt light headed when he came round. He saw that he was on the sofa in the principles office. Tanaka had been doing paperwork when he heard the shuffling. Looking to the boy he saw Ryoma with a look of confusion on his face. The headmaster watched as the cat brought a hand up to his head. His knees came up so he was in the fetal position. "Ryoma?" He called. The boy lifted his head slightly and looked over tot he man with a far away look in his eyes.
"It hurts." Ryoma could feel his breath getting heavier and fast as the memories stilled played in his head as if they were on loop. "I want to forget." He shouted. Tanaka went over and placed a hand on the boy's back. "I don't like it." He hiccupped. Sniffling slightly as he looked to the man who was standing next to him. "Where are the others?"
"Yukimura's in the library." Tanaka couldn't finish as the boy ran out the room. "Wait, Ryoma! The first years are also using it." But the boy was long gone and he could only hope nothing bad happens. The class that Ryoma was in before being tutored had gone in there to do a project.
Pushing the doors open letting them bang against the wall, he started to look round in alarm. Even more so when all these eyes were now staring at him. "Echizen, is something wrong?" The teacher asked as she watch the boy now starting to panic even more than he already was. He was about to ask when he heard who he was looking for.
"Ryo-Chan, what happened? Where's the fire?" He said as he came round from one of the bookshelf's. He had time to spare and had found a book about gardening. He had lost track of time and only really came out of it when he heard the cat's name. Instead of getting an answer Ryoma walked over grabbed his hand and pulled him towards the door. He would of ran and hugged him as soon as he saw Sei, but he could feel that hate coming off Horio and it didn't sit well with him.
As the doors closed behind them Ryoma put his arms round the others waist with out a second thought. He still had the image of a branding iron in his head along with the smile of the boys face as he plunged his hand thought his chest. "I want to go home. I want to go home." He muttered over and over as he rubbed his face in the others stomach.
Sei pulled the boy away from him so he could get a better look at his face. "What's going though your mind Ryo? If I knew we could always talk about it. Is this about the bully or a dream?" Sei was itching to take the hood off the boy's head. To feel his black-green hair as he ran his fingers though it. To kiss those soft lips... Ok, he was going off with the fairies now. Shanking his head he grabbed Ryoma's chin gently and lifted it. "Please, I want to help." The cat let out a shank breath.
"I want to forget, but I don't want to be selfish." In the boy's golden eyes you could see the trauma. How much it was killing him on the inside. "I remember the four walls and what happened in them. How the blood ended up on them." As he was about to carry on the library door opened.
"Echizen!" Yelled the voice that Ryoma dreaded. "Are you joining us or skipping class again?" Horio stood there in all his arrogance. Ryoma force himself to relax so Sei wouldn't become suspicious.
"Umm..."
"Ah, me and Ryo-Chan are going for a walk on the school grounds. Please tell the teacher that." Sei gave off his best smile. He was getting somewhere with the cat and the unibrow just had to go and ruin it. He slung his arm over Ryoma's shoulder and pulled him down the hallway. As soon as Horio couldn't see his face he frowned. He couldn't believe his lucky. The cat was about to say something important and everything was ruined by one interruption.
