The heavy thud of the large mecha landing under the highway into vale, its large metal feet cracking the ground as he turned to find the four annoying girls it had been chasing. And it found them, the four girls of team RWBY standing, their weapons at the ready as they faced off against the large bot.
Inside the bot, Roman growled, as he activated the automatic targeting systems, numerous lasers coming to life as they all turned towards the four girls. "Weiss" Ruby yelled, the girl already twirling her rapier as she stabbed it into the ground.
A large thin layer of ice instantly covered the ground as Yang leaped into the air in response. Throwing her fist forward, the blonde girl released a flaw shot, destroying the layer of ice as a thick icy mist enveloped the area under the roads.
Roman growled, as the targeting system couldn't find the girls, the two fastest of them running around the missile system, keeping it off the other two as the mist kept Roman himself from seeing them.
Above the mist, a pair of white greaves landed on the edge of the road, looking down as glowing eyes narrowed at the robot under him. Glenn crouched, watching as Yang took one of the armoured fist, sending her colliding with one of the pillars.
Lightning exploded across his greaves as he vanished in a boom of static.
Yang growled as her eyes bleed read, her body falling towards the ground as she had no time to adjust her landing. But instead of the cold hard concrete, she landed into the someone's arms. Looking up, the girl stared at the face of her boyfriend, his blond hair glowing with power as his left eye was covered in the white shard of his mask.
His glowing eyes softened on her as he landed, his armoured boots creating a resounding thud as he slowly set her down. "Shall we" Glenn spoke, her voice morphing slightly as he pointed the white Katana in his hands towards the robot.
Yang stared at the blade, wondering why he was using a sword that had impaled him not two weeks ago. Ignoring her thoughts, Yang cocked her gauntlets, Glenn following her example as he cocked his free hand back, one of the plates on his ivory white gauntlet shifting as a frost shell was loaded into the barrel above his wrist.
In front of the bot, Weiss weaved her hands, creating a glyph under Blake, a clock face forming within the glyph as the cat girls body started to glowed dimly. In response, Roman let loss numerous missiles form the robots launchers, each arcing towards the girl as she flicked her dual blades outwards.
With a roar, Blake swung his Katana, a large arc of pure aura releasing form her blade, slicing a missile in two. A second followed as the girl continued to slice through the air, each slash releasing a arc of energy that cut through an oncoming missile.
With a leap, Blake swung her cleaver and Katana together, a larger arc of energy destroying the remaining missiles as she landed back on the ground. Roman growled as he pushed the mecha forward, charging towards the girl as machine guns unfolded form its shoulder to hold off the other three.
Blake leaped over the descending punch, leaving a clone behind for a boost as she swung her Katana down on the exposed wires. Before she could cut them, the mecha shifted backwards, its body turning as its free hand sent Blake flying backwards.
She landed painfully on her back, looking up to see the machine guns adjusting their aim towards her. As Blake scrambled to her feet, a boom of static exploded in front of her, a pair of armour boots skidding to a stop, digging low trenches into the ground.
Instead of the young huntress being rattled with bullet holes the new arrival swept his Katana through the arm, golden sparks erupting around his gauntlet clad hand as he cut through the oncoming bullet. Glenn's hair sparked as his senses were doubled, his reflexes tripled as he continued to cut through oncoming bullets.
Blake could only stared in disbelief as Glenn's arm became a blur of motion, bullets falling in front of him, perfectly cut in two. As the rain of fire stopped, Glenn swept his blade downwards, his eyes never leaving the bot as he spoke.
"You okay?" he asked as Blake blinked for a second. "Yeah, I'm fine" she replied climbing to her feet as the others joined her. "What's the plan red?" Glenn asked as Ruby repressed the need to ask him about his sword, and where he got it.
"Follow my leaned, remember our practised team moves" Ruby ordered as the group split in two, Yang, and Blake rushing the bot as Ruby and Weiss stayed back. Glenn kept himself beside Weiss, his Katana's guard spinning to match the same element Weiss was about to use.
"White rose!" Ruby called out, stabbing her scythe into the ground as Weiss and Glenn stood on either side of her. Weiss weaved her hands forward creating three white ice glyphs as Glenn did the same, his demonic magic coursing through his blade, enhancing the icy element of the glyphs as Ruby took aim.
Three shot rang out through the area, each powered by demonic ice magic and ice dust. Roman winced within the cockpit of the mecha, its shoulder being hit first as ice exploded from the dust round.
The right knee followed, then its left thigh and finished with its right elbow, preventing it from moving correctly as Yang and Blake moved in. "Lady bug!" Ruby called out, vanishing in a bust of speed as Yang dove to doge the mecha's oncoming fist.
Blake threw her Katana blade to her right, the blade catching the end of Ruby's scythe as the girl slid under the bots leg, slashing at its inner thighs. Pulling Blake's ribbon, Ruby lunged forward herself, both girls passing each other as they each sliced further into the bots inner thighs.
Two more rounds of slashing, both girls backed off, the bot lunging forward as it threw its unrestrained arm down towards them. "Ice demon!" Ruby yelled as the fist smashed into the ground, only to come in contact with a wall of solid ice.
A boom of static made Roman look up, his eyes catching the sight of Glenn and Weiss flying into the air, the blonde flapping his icy wings as Weiss stayed afloat by one of her glyphs. As the robot ripped its arm out of the ice, both icy teens started to descend towards it.
Roman growled as he threw a punch up towards them hoping to kill the little brats before they could do more damage to his plan. Only to meet the direct punch of Glenn's free hand, the gauntlet clad fist exploding with a frost shell as the mecha's arm was thrown backwards.
Weiss took her chance forming a glyph under her feet as she lunged towards the bot exposed shoulder. As her rapier impaled the motors between the arm and the body, Glenn appeared behind her, his Katana sparking with golden lightning.
Weiss fell, glancing up to see the blonde demon severing the mecha's arm with his blade, the golden lightning racing across the body as Roman repressed a scream as hundreds of volts coursed through his nerves.
As Glenn landed, he grabbed Weiss, pulling her close before they both disappeared in a boom of static, appearing beside Ruby and Blake as Yang leaped onto the back of the damaged mecha. Glenn noted that his girlfriend her was glowing as she punched the back of the bots head, Roman growling in the cockpit as he forced the restrained arm to grab and throw her off.
As Yang landed, skidding to a halt, Blake was about to move to help her partner, only to be stopped by Ruby. "Don't worry, Yang's semblance has this, each hit she takes she can dish out more, it's what makes her so strong" Ruby explained as the blonde girl stood up, her hair glowing as bright as the sun as she clenched her right fist tightly.
Roman moved forward, his working arm descending on the girl as Yang raised her right hand. The ground cracked as Yang's feet dug into the concrete, the mecha's arm freezing in place as Yang stopped its punch dead.
Opening her blood red eyes, Yang snarled as she threw her left fist forward, ripping the working arm form its socket as the mecha stumbled back form the force of the punch. "Duel fire!" Ruby yelled as Glenn moved, appearing beside Yang as he prepped to launch her into the air.
Yang grinned as she stepped onto his present hand, Glenn flicking the guard of his blade as the spike rested in red. Fire exploded across his gauntlet as he threw Yang into the air, the flames following her as she twisted to face the damaged mecha.
"Bumblebee!" Ruby yelled as Blake threw her Katana's, Yang catching it as she descended towards Roman. With a growl, Blake pulled her Ribbon downwards, increasing Yang falling speed as the flames around her gathered as he right fist.
"Annihilation flame" Glenn whispered as he watched the familiar attack explode on impact, his face gaining a fond smile as he remembered the first time Sean ever used that attack on someone. Roman was thrown from the destroyed mecha, rolling back to his feet as pieces of the one perfect bot clattered around him.
"And I just had that fixed" he grumbled as Yang turned towards him, her fist already shooting to released a flare shot at the ginger criminal. Glenn's eyes narrowed as his ears picked up a familiar static noise, his eyes widening as he vanished as quickly as he could.
As Yang shot was about to be released a pink and brown blur appeared in front of her, a parasail aimed to impale her exposed chest as Yang felt the world slow to a halt, unable to stop the strange weapon from injuring her.
Only to be roughly pushed backwards, a clang of metal clashing against metal bringing her back. In front of her stood Glenn, his Katana redirecting the parasail to his left side, his eyes glowing in anger as he stared down at the petit young women that tried to kill Yang.
The unknown girl leaped backwards, falling into a elegant bow as she blow a kiss towards the enraged blonde demon. "Neo, let's go" Roman voice as the now named Neo nodded with a smile, her eyes changing colour.
"Not likely!" Glenn roared, him and Yang throwing a fist forward as their shotgun fired at the two stationary criminals. Only to watch in shock as the bullet passed through them, their body shattering like glass as they disappeared.
A mocking laughter filled the air, as both blondes caught sight of Neo and Roman leaving in a bullhead, the demon snarling as the girl winked at him again. In his anger, flames enveloped his sword, his body moving on instinct as he sent a silent flaming wave towards the bullhead.
As the deadly demonic flames neared the ship, another figure appeared in a boom of static, white claws cutting through the flames as the figure seemed to stand on the air itself. The five members of team RWBY stared in disbelief and slight fear as the familiar horned demon stared down at them.
"Long time no see kingy" Thanatos called mocking, its hollow voice echoing throughout the silent underpass. Glenn snarled, as he stepped forward, his thumb ready to change the element he was using at a moment's notice.
"You have a lot to answer for Thanatos, where are the dragon jewels!" Glenn demanded as the demonic being seemed to smirk down at him. "Why I thought you figured that out already" he called mockingly as he reached up to one of his horns.
"But I'm not here to fight king, I just felt like saving someone I find worthy to use our power" Thanatos said as Glenn glared at him. The four girls watched in shock as Thanatos snapped one of his horns, cracks appearing along his armour body as Glenn's glare intensified.
Their shock became fear as the armour shattered, reviling a pale version of Glenn standing on the air, his hair as white as snow as he stood in a pair of tattered light blue jeans. "Ho-how" Weiss stuttered as Thanatos smirked demonic at them.
"That's all I wanted kingy, you better find Albion soon, I don't know how long you will survive without him" Thanatos said, vanishing in a boom of static, his mocking hollow laugh fading into silence as the girls stared at Glenn. The blonde himself staring at the ground, his eyes pulsing in fury at what the spirit of death had done.
He would find Albion.
Then he could murder that bastard for giving people his powers.
