The moment her feet reached the grounds of her home she leapt from her mare and rushed around in search of her brother, searching every room she could think, every single one of them empty and bare of her lover. She asked every servant she came across till one told her they had seen him seemingly go after her. She raced down to the stables leaping on the first horse she saw and raced off across the bridge, dismounting the strange horse as she approached Heindam.
"Heindam, I need you to send me after Loki... Where has he gone?" She asked, trying to smooth her hair down.
"Jotunheim, but he requested that I keep you here till he..."
"Heindam, you know better than to keep me apart from my brother... I don't recall a single guard who has survived it..." He nodded, opening the bridge for her which she leapt into.
The reaction to this was that she landed flat on her face at the feet of her brother. She looked up at her brother with large eyes, meeting his with fre ablaze in them before he stepped over her and carried on. She leapt to her feet, trying to compose herself though her clothing was drenched from the snow, making her shiver slightly, though gave herself not time to dwell on her falling temperature. She looked in the direction her brother had gone before she began to take large steps till she was at his side.
"You should not have come Sigyn, I told that damn guard to keep you there... This is a matter for a king and a king alone..."
"No such thing as a king if he is alone Loki... Besides... We've been away from home far too..." She whined in pain as he grabbed her face, pulling her up so her eyes met his.
"You were not asked to come here so remain as silent and it would be had you not..." With that he dropped her, walking on again and yet again she caught up to his, walking a step or two behind him. As they reached the front of the icy palace though Loki began to be slightly more tender with her, pulling her his side so she could hold his arm as they walked into throne room, where Laufey sat upon his cold throne.
"Kill them," the blue king said, making the princess go pale but the prince merely smirked, walking on though she stayed still, a respectable amount of space between her and the reigning monarch of the other realm, just as she had been taught though she doubted this scenario was in mind when those lessons had occurred. Loki did stop though, only a few steps ahead of her.
"After all I've done for you?" He asked, making Sigyn look at him, her brow furrowing for another time in the span of that never ending night.
"So you're the one who showed us the way into Asgard.." He said, leaning forwards in his might chair slightly.
"That was just a bit of fun, really, to ruin my brother's big day, and to protect the realm from his idiotic rule for a while longer."
"I will hear you." He said, leaning in a slight bit more, as Loki walked around the area of the throne slowly, making Sigyn panic at what else he was to say.
"I will conceal you and handful of your soldiers, lead you into Odin's chambers, and you can slay him where he lies."
"Loki..." She hissed, forgetting for a moment where they were, till she saw the red eyes of the guard glower at her, making her go silent again.
"Why not kill him yourself?" Her brother was asked, only to snort at it where he now stood still.
"I suspect that the Asgardians would not take kindly to a king who had murdered his predecessor. Once Odin is dead, I will return the Casket to you..." At this Laufey rose to his feet, his eyes never leaving Loki," and you can return Jotunheim to all its... Glory."
"I... Accept..." It was now that his eyes fell upon Sigyn, narrowing slightly as he tilted his head. "What of her," he asked, sitting back, watching as she began to shiver slightly, "she knows of your deeds and plan..."
"I assure you," Loki said, flashing a charming smile as he walked to her side, wrapping his arm around her, pulling her close. "She can be trusted above all others, it was her who gave me the idea for the last part, she knows what Asgard deserves in a king..." This made the blue ruler snigger.
"Then, dear... Lady, I look forward to seeing you again... Go, both of you..." He said, raising an eyebrow at Sigyn, smirking as her brother led her out.
"Loki... Loki you cannot be serious with this..." She pleaded with him as she they made their way from the palace. "Planned murder... I know we were lied to all our lives but... To kill the man who raised us as his own? He could have very well have left us, or gave us to some poor family, but no. He raised us along side his own child... He deserves our love..." She said, standing in front of him, stopping him in his tracks. "Our suspicions and distrust, certainly in light of new information, but our love pure and simply as mother does..."
"Love? You say that man deserves our love? The man who destroyed our home, killed thousands if not millions of our own people, stole us from our home and lied to us all of our lives, raising us to hate our own kind deserves our love?" He sighed, cupping her face in her hands, "dear Sigyn, I know you mean well, but for once be silent. You did suggest this, you said I would be a better king..."
"I know I did, but I did not think that you would take my words and use them to justify murder..." She said, before he put his fingers upon her lips.
"No more talk of this until it occurs, for our own sake Sigyn, as well as that of our children and future..."
"That is if you do not replace me in that feature... Loki... Words are lovely, from you they are fine as any silk woven, your actions out shine any jewel I have ever seen or been given... But they are not enough... I need the ultimate gift, if my silence is to be assured. As you say, for our sake and future, even our children's... Give me that, and I shall be as loyal as any one could be..." He smirked, nodding as he took his hands in hers, sighing.
"Alright, if you want it this much then I shall give it to you, but it must be done in secret if you want it now, with only a single witness..."
"I accept that Loki, after all, that is all that is needed, besides someone who can make it official."
"Then, my dearest Sigyn, when we get home mother shall wed us to each other and you shall truly be mine in both name and body, as I will be yours..." He kissed her softly, feeling her grin into it.
"That is all I ask, thank you Loki." She said, going silent as they walked through the gate that her lover had summoned, back into the realm of Asgard.
"What troubles you, Gatekeeper?" Loki asked, looking to the guard, who stood with his mighty sword in hand within the lock.
"I turned my gaze upon you in Jotunheim, but could neither see you nor hear you. You were shrouded from me, like the Frost Giants that entered this realm." He said, usually this would have sparked panic in Sigyn, who could never lie convincingly in her life, but for now she merely cuddled the arm of her betrothed, looking at the guard as her brother did, bored and wishing to move on.
"Perhaps your senses have weakened after your many years of service."
"Or perhaps someone has found a way to hide that which he does not wish me to see." It was at this he began to lead her around where the guard stood, heading towards the exit as he spoke.
"You have great power, Heimdall. Did Odin ever fear you?" He asked, his bride raising an eyebrow at the guard- who was turning with them, keeping them in his sight- smirking ever so slightly at him.
"No,"
"And why is that?" Loki asked, standing to face his face to face.
"Because he is my king and I am sworn to obey him."
"He was your king, and you're sworn to obey me now, yes?" He said, earning a rewarding squeeze on his arm, her fingers massaging his muscles lightly.
"Yes." Heimdall said after a few seconds of silence, it was at this Loki's pace increased greatly, pulling the two towards the exit.
"Then you will open the Bifrost to no one until I have repaired the damage that my brother has done."
