Its been a month since her dad passed and it gets easier each day even thought she wakes up crying she doesn't cry all day anymore but that's not the hardest thing in her life right now its freed he finally finished his project with Romilda but now she hangs around all the time usually she wouldn't mind but she has Fred's attention like not a little most of his she's always making jokes making Fred and everyone laugh and she's been sitting closer to Fred and doing gentle arm touches which of course he didn't notice this just came to a stop for her and Fred. He's so caught up talking to Romilda he doesn't have great conversations with her anymore he still gives her affection and kisses but just quick pecks. She finally reached her breaking point when Fred was talking to Romilda and she got up to leave saying bye and all she got was a bye and kiss on the cheek. Katie saw she was upset and left with her

"Hermione are you ok?" she asked

"Yes and no, I'm trying to not be the jealous girlfriend but its hard not too when your boyfriend spends all his time talking to someone else," Hermione said trying not to cry

"I figured that's what was bothering you, why don't you talk to him,"'

How can I when he's with Romilda 24/7, well not that long but during lunch and breaks,"

"Do you think he likes Romilda because if you do your going nuts, he's crazy about you, George says he's so in la la land,'

"And when did George tell you this?'

"About a month ago, why?"

"Because that's when it started it's been a month like this, and I don't know if I can continue this I'm going through so much and with finals coming up its just crazy,"

"so your saying you want to break up with him without talking to him first, that's low Hermione just talk to him and see he probably doesn't realize it, lets do a test don't show up to lunch tomorrow and lets see if he notices, if he asks I'll say your in library and if he just wipes it off like ok, than you need to talk to him like a serious talk but if he finds you you need to be honest with how your feeling, deal?'

"Okay deal,'

With that Hermione headed to class but of course ran into Angelina

"Hermione wait up" she said trying to catch up to Hermione

"Yes Angelina?"

"Are you and Fred broken up? Because he's talking to Romilda a lot,"

'yes we are there friends they met as lab partners,"

"Look I know you think I'm going to try and ruin your relationship with him but I'm not I'm over it, but I knew this would happen why do you think I did everything I did with him to keep him interested he gets bored I know he always wanted a funny girl he can joke with and I couldn't give him that so I bribed him with sex,'

"Why are you telling me this?"

"Because I know how Fred is and I know Romilda and she's very interested in Fred, I'll even show you," she took out her phone and saw Romilda whispering in his ear and him smiling.

"So, she's whispering something big deal," her heart was beating really fast

"Well look at this one," the next photo felt like a stab in her heart he was whispering really close in her ear and she was giggling. Hermione didn't know what to do she just turned around and left to go to class. The rest of the day she wasn't even paying attention before she knew it school was over; she went to her usual spot where Fred met her to take her home. It's been 30 minutes since school ended and sill no sign of Fred, she gave him 5 more minutes than she would just leave. 5 minutes were up and she It's checked her phone and nothing so she decided to leave and walk home. It was going to rain if she didn't hurry home just as she was leaving she saw Draco on his way out with his new flame Astoria who was a pretty nice girl so why she was with Draco she's never know

"Hey Mary, where's your boyfriend? Left you in the dust?" Draco said laughing but only to get hit by Astoria

"knock it off Draco, do you have a ride home?"

"Fred was my ride but I guess he got caught up so guess I'm walking"

"Nonsense she said Draco and I can drop you off your aren't walking in the rain,"

"But,"

"Not buts granger you heard the lady let's go," that shocked Hermione was Draco actually being nice.

"No, it's ok, I'm just going to call my mom,"

"If you're sure" she said with that they left just than Fred showed up

"Hey sorry I'm late Romilda needed help with some prank stuff she wants to pull on her brother" he went to give her a quick back but she didn't kiss back. Fred was a little shocked but waved it off thinking she was just upset about her dad. It was a pretty quiet ride to her house

"So where did you go during lunch?"

'Oh, you noticed I was gone,"

"Of course, I did why wouldn't I? what's going on?" he said as her pulled up to her house,

"Nothing its nothing, see you tomorrow" with that she got out of the car without giving Fred his kiss.

"man she must really be upset about her dad" with that he shook it off and went home.

Hermione went into her room her mom wasn't home yet and she cried this is just too much for her to handle she needed her dad. She grabbed her key board and note pad and tried writing a new song to let her emotions out. But she felt the music died with her dad.

Next day she decided to do what Katie said she should. She told Fred harry needed help with something so he was going to take her to school. She told harry what was going on he became one of her best friends.

"I don't think its anything to worry about Hermione,"

"I keep trying to tell myself that but harry during lunch look at them and you'll see what I'm saying,"

"Okay if you say so,'

School was going by slow Hermione was just focusing on her school work it hurt too much to think of Fred. She avoided Fred all day, it was finally lunch and she went to the library to study which honestly, she really actually had to do which was pretty funny, she walked into the library and saw a flyer for the talent show it piqued her interest but she just didn't feel the passion for singing like she use to after her dad died. Meanwhile….

Everyone was sitting around at lunch Fred looked around but no Hermione know that he thought about it he hasn't seen her all day or heard from her how did he not notice, he tried to shrug it off but he couldn't just than Romilda showed up and took her spot next to Fred

"Hey Fred! So the prank worked wonders thank you she said hugging him and a little to long in his opinion. George and Katie showed up followed by Lee. Fred looked over a Ginny and her friends under the tree the usually sat at and no Hermione he was starting to worry.

"Hey Katie where's Hermione? I haven't seen her all day,'

"she's in library studying with everything with her dad she was falling behind with her school work,"

'Oh okay,' Fred felt relieved and decided to best to give Hermione he space and he decided to just talk with Romilda thought his mind never stopped thinking of Hermione. He didn't realize the dirty look Katie gave him. George noticed

"Hey what's up?'

"Nothing I forgot I needed to talk to snape about the assignment,"

"Okay I can come with you"

'No just stay I'll be back asap," she said giving him a quick kiss on the cheek. George knew something was up but he wasn't sure.

Katie went to library to find Hermione and wasn't hard because she was the only person in there, she sat down next to her

"Okay so you need to talk to Fred he has no idea what's going on,'

"Did you tell him I was at the library I did but he just kind of shrugged it off, I'm so sorry Hermione, want me to talk to George about it maybe he can talk some sense into Fred,'

"No, its fine I'll talk to him, thank you Katie I'm sorry you're getting involved in this,"

"No worries you're my best friend and even thought I'm dating Fred's brother doesn't mean I'll side with him, you've got a lot going on and I'm here for you,' with that she hugged Hermione and she cried she needed a hug so bad.

She decided she needed to talk to Fred after school she arranged a ride with Harry in case things went bed with Fred. She was so nervous to talk to him but she shouldn't be he's her boyfriend she's suppose to be able to. The bell rang and she went to the usual spot to meet up and once she got there she saw Fred but Romilda as well he heart sank to her stomach.

"hey love missed you at lunch, I'll call you later Romilda,' Fred said he gave her a kiss and again she didn't return it.

"Hermione you, ok?"

"Yeah, I just…I need to talk to you about some stuff that's bugging me,"

"Okay well let's head to the car think it's about to rain,"

"Id rather talk about it now here let's go under here,'

"Hermione you're scaring me what's going?"

She looked up at Fred into the eyes of the guy she loved so much.

"Fred…."
