She rushed through the palace the moment she was close enough, landing into a roll as she leapt of the animal, racing through as she made her way to her mother and fathers chambers. Frigga looked up on hearing the racing footsteps, opening her arms as she saw her child come hurtling towards her. She held her only daughter close, trying to calm her before she spoke.

"Sigyn, what is wrong my dear, what has you in such a state as this?" She asked, cupping her face in her hands, seeing panic and fear in her youngest's eyes.

"Mother, we must go now, please. It is not safe here, we have to get somewhere safe!" She said, trying to drag her out of the room, only for her to refuse.

"Not safe? My dearest girl, what do you mean? What has happened, who has scared you like this?"

"Mother please there is no time to..." She stopped, the look on Frigga's face telling all as she let her go, reaching for the sword from its hidden place, ready to defend Odin and Sigyn, as the doors swung open and the ice king marched in. Frigga swung the sword at the one guard he had, only for he to shove him down himself, knocking the queen flying backwards. "Mother!" Sigyn cried, near screeching as she rushed to her side, holding her up, "mother?"

"A disgrace to our kind, rushing to that slayer of our peoples before your own... No matter, it'll matter none at all soon..." Laufey said, approaching Odin, reaching down he pulled open his eyelids. "It's said you can still hear and see what transpires around you. I hope it's true, so that you may know your death came at the hand of Laufey." He lifted his hand up, an ice dagger now in it, he was about to strike when he was blasted to the side by a near blinding gold light. Sigyn and her mother looked up, the purest feeling of relief filling her heart as she saw her husband stand there, his staff in hand. She leapt to her feet, rushing to his side, pride shinning through her.

"And your death came by the son of Odin," Loki said, softly but firm, he lifted his staff once more and shot the ice king again, blasting him to oblivion.

"Loki, you saved him!" Frigga said, getting up to embrace him, Sigyn content to stand aside, grinning at her lover, glad that he had realised what a mistake it would have been.

"I swear to you, Mother, that they will pay for what they've done today."

"Loki!" A familiar voice said from the doorway, the three turned to see Thor, standing there in his armour with his mighty hammer in hand.

"Thor! I knew you'd return to us." Frigga said, rushing to embrace her returned son, Sigyn longed to do the same but did not wish to try Loki's temper. The brothers starred at each other intently, Loki backing away from Thor as he approached him.

"Why don't you tell her how you sent the Destroyer to kill our friends, to kill me?" Thor said, these words hitting the two women hard, each looking between the brothers and each other.

"What?" Frigga asked, pulling her daughter to her side again, holding each others hands as they watched the two warriors.

"Why, it must have been enforcing Father's last command."

"You're a talented liar, Brother. Always have been." Thor said, as he looked across the bed to Loki who stood at the other side.

"It's good to have you back. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to destroy Jotunheim." Loki said, calmly before raising the staff and shoot it at Thor, who was shot out through the wall.

"Loki... Loki, what have you done?!" Sigyn demanded of him, storming to his side, shaking her head, he sneered at her, grabbing her roughly as he dragged her out of the room, ignoring her protests, his grip tightening as she fought him.

He threw her on his horse, riding hard across the bridge once more, dismounting as he ripped her off, throwing her to the ground

"Stay put!" He hissed as he went in, putting his staff into the great machine once again. The machine seemed to go mad, pure white light shooting up as he stood there tall and proud, destroying Jotunheim, destroying their home.

"LOKI!" She screamed at him, getting to her feet as she rushed to his side, fear and confusion coating her face. "Loki, stop this now, stop it before it is too late... You may think this will make you a loved King, a powerful King, a true King, but it just makes you a fool!" She yelled, shaking her head once again as tears fell for the home she had never known but was going to lose if he was not stopped. He snarled at her, grabbing her face, lifting her off her feet, bringing her face close to his.

"Remember your place..." He spat, throwing her hard to the floor again, harder this time, blood began to trickle from where her face hit the floor. "You can't stop it." He snarled, making her look around knowing it was not to her he spoke. There in the door way stood Thor, watching in just as much horror as she had. "The Bifrost will build until it rips Jotunheim apart." Thor came forward, went to swing his hammer against the rooting of ice only for Loki to zap him back with his staff, knocking him to the ground.

"Why have you done this?"

"To prove to Father that I am the worthy son. When he wakes, I will have saved his life. I will have destroyed that race of monsters, and I will be true heir to the throne!"

"You can't kill an entire race!"

"Why not?" He asked, sniggering at his brother change, walking down the steps towards him "and what is this new found love for the Frost Giants? You could have killed them all with your bare hands."

"I've changed,"

"So have I," he struck Thor hard to the face, "now fight me." With this he struck Thor again, sending him flying across the room.

"Thor!" Sigyn cried, trying to get up, to get to his side only for Loki to wave his hand over her, making it as though a great weight was pressing down upon her, pinning her, making her cry out in shock at the pain which ran through her, pressure hitting everywhere that the two falls had hurt her.

"I never wanted the throne! I only ever wanted to be your equal." He made his way over to him as he rose.

"I will not fight you brother!" He yelled.

"I am not your brother. I never was."

"Loki, this is madness."

"Is it madness? Is it? Is it? Come on. What happened to you on Earth that turned you so soft? Don't tell me it was that woman." Thor said nothing, just stared at him, watching him. "Oh! It was! Well, maybe, when we're finished here, I'll pay her a visit myself!" The brothers flew towards each other, their weapons clashing. Thor pinned Loki but only for a second as he was kicked off, allowing his brother to stand. He went to strike him but missed and was knocked to the ground as Thor rose, striking down at him only to be blocked by his staff, which gave off a bright glow, sparks shooting off as he pressed down. Loki kicked him off and away as he stood, turning to face him. They fought on till a blast from Loki collided with Thor's leap, sending the two flying out, bursting a huge hole in the roof.

Sigyn looked through the hole they'd left, slowly she pushed herself to her feet as she heard the commotion from outside, where the brothers fight carried on. Slowly she made her way out, limping on both legs, each one hurt. What greeted her eyes was something she never thought she'd see, Thor was striking the bridge hard, clearly trying to break it. She froze for a moment before quickly trying to race to get to the other side of him. He glanced up, spotting his sister he pulled her to the other side of him, she landed roughly once again but was just grateful it was on the intended side. She looked up to see Loki, rushing towards Thor. He'd left her behind, forgotten her after hurting her, betraying her. She was not given long to think on this as Thor struck down once more the bridge blasted them high into their. Sigyn watched in horror as Loki seemingly fell before her to his death, followed by Thor. She closed her eyes, bracing herself for the great beyond as she fell with them, only to be pulled aside. She looked up, her mouth hanging a gape as there stood Odin, Thor's leg in his grasp, Loki hanging onto his staff which his brother held tightly.

"I could have done it, Father! I could have done it! For you! For all of us!" Loki cried up to him, his voice sounding weak and fragile.

"No, Loki." He said simply, Sigyn looking between the two as she reached over the edge, trying to get hold of her husbands hands. With horror she watched as his grip lessened on the staff, till he was no longer holding it. He fell down into the depths of space, out of sight of the three, each saying no in there own ways. Thor cried it out, watching it happen straight on, Odin softly but firmly, while Sigyn merely broke down, tears flowing freely as her heart was torn apart, crushed into dust.

Odin pulled Thor up, putting him onto his feet, the God of thunder took his sister into his arm, wrapping her hair around her like a blanket, picking her up carefully, he looked to their father who turned and led them back to their home. Thor held his baby sister close to his chest, kissing the top of her head, his own heart breaking more at the purest look of loss and misery on the princess's face, silent tears flowing freely, with no end in sight. Once they had made it back Odin explained what had happened to Frigga who, as ever the mother, pulled Sigyn close, putting aside her own pain to try and help her lost little girl. She led her to her room, changed her into a night dress and put her into bed, the girl remained silent the whole time, not questioning or argueing for once. Any other time this would have been a relief for all but not at the price that it had. After doing all that she could do to make her daughter happy and comfortable Frigga turned and left her be, thinking it best she be alone with her thoughts.
