"Ugh, how disgusting" Weiss said, kicking some stray rocks off the edge of the barren building the group were using as a camp for the night. "We're in a deserted city, what do you expect" Blake replied as she laid out her sleeping bag form the doctors rucksack.
"Something...clearer at least" Weiss said as she sat down on the sleep bag Blake handed her. "Eh, It could be worse" Glenn spoke up as he and Yang sat on the last sleeping bag, why did they only have three sleeping bags anyway?
"And how could it be worse?" Weiss asked as Glenn frowned slightly. "You could strapped to a large clock surrounded by mutilated undead as someone hunts down your friends" he said, wistfully."You're...joking, right?" Weiss questioned as Glenn tilted her head slightly.
"Nope...Kurumi was an odd one, still is in some cases" he said with a smile as Blake and Weiss looked at him oddly. "How, did you meet someone...like that?" Blake asked carefully as Glenn shrugged. "It was a mission the goblin king gave me and Sean, we ended up meeting with the elemental girls on the way, and I got dragged into the building by glowing hands" he said with a shrug.
"How are you even sane?" Weiss blurted out as Yang and Glenn snickered. "I'm not" he replied as Weiss sighed, why was she interested in him again? "So what do you think will happen tomorrow" Yang asked as Blake looked up from her book.
"We'll be following the Grimm pack, hopefully we find what we need" she said as her eyes travelled to the large hole in the way that allowed the group to survey the city. "What about that Grimm that was sighted in the city?" Weiss asked as Glenn narrowed his eyes slightly.
"That's why I'm here" he said as the girls looked at him in confusion. "Ozpin knows something's going on here, with the white fang and that Grimm, Thanatos is connected to it...and I think I know who the large Grimm is" he explained as Weiss narrowed her eyes at him.
"You never did explain why Thanatos is trying to kill you" she said as Glenn looked away. "I don't know, the first time we ever met it was to earn his powers, I almost died fighting him, and now he has control over that form, something's going on and I need to know" he said, his left hand twitching slightly as something flew just in front of the broken moon.
"Albion..." he whispered, his eyes catching the ivory white scales before it vanished. "I need to go" he said, pushing away from Yang as the blonde girl looked at him in confusion. "What, but its getting dark, the Grimm are more aggressive at night" Weiss said as Glenn glanced back at her.
"This can't wait, tell Oobleck I'll be back as soon as I can" he said, leaping out of the room as his wings sprouted from his back. The three girls could only watch him fly off in the distance, wondering what had gotten into him.
Flying over the city, Glenn caught sight of the flying creature again, his left hand twitching as a familiar gauntlet formed over his limb. "It is you" he whispered, falling into a diver as the large beats vanished behind one of the buildings.
Spying a flat roof, Glenn retracted his wings, rolling into his landed as he slid to a stop. "Albion!" he called out, his voice echoing in the dead of the night, not even a single Grimm taking not of the blonde, their attention turning to leave the area as soon as possible.
A soft crunch could be heard above him, a single ivory claw impaling the edge of a building as something slowly pulled itself around the edge. Glenn's eyes looked up, tainted blue meeting pure sapphire as the ivory white armoured scaled adored the monster face.
The creatures long neck loomed over the edge of the buildings ivory wings attached to its large limbs as it slowly climbed down, stopping just short of the blonde brawler. "...Albion" Glenn whispered, taking a step forward as he raised his left hand towards the beast.
"You took your time child" the booming voice escaped the beast as it lowered its head, pressing its snout into the palm of the blondes clawed hand as it smiled at the heavenly dragon. The blue jewel on his gauntlet pulsed, reflecting the actions Albion's own jewels were doing as the dragon and demon stayed silent.
"What's been going on Albion, why was I brought here, what going on with Thanatos?" Glenn asked as the dragons eyes opened to stare into the blondes. "That is something that cannot be explained child, I have been in this city for month now, Thanatos left after waking up, his new form giving him a chance to explore, I only know he is planning to keep you on edge with his plans" Albion explained as Glenn frowned.
"But, we're a team, we the same soul, is it even possible for my soul to be split like this?" he asked as the dragon sighed. "No, but this world has made it possible, like our trip to that world of ninjas, the worlds nature allows us to be, but it won't last for long, you will need your powers soon, and I have come to give you want you need for the upcoming fight" Albion said with a grin as Glenn looked at him in surprise.
"You mean..." he was cut off as the dragon placed a claw on his gauntlet. "You have earned the right to use this a thousand times over child, you are the omega knight, Thanatos is your darker aspects, the perfect release shows that...you will need this to fight him to a standstill" the heavenly dragon explained as the jewel glowed softly.
Glenn's eyes widened as his felt the limit of his gear lifted, his skill in using the sacred gear returning as his powers were boosted. His left hand twitched slightly, pain shooting up his arm as he fell to his knees in pain.
"you will know the time to use this child, until then, fight as you have before" Albion said, pulling back as Glenn tried to glance up at him. Only for his eyes to roll into the back of his head, Albion smiling down at him before taking flight into the night sky.
"the challenges will only get harder as we go child, that women's plans are nothing to what Thanatos has coming, you will be allies, and as many as you can get" he whispered, disappearing into the night as Glenn was left on the roof, unconscious to the world around him.
"Where could he be" a disgruntled Weiss muttered as she paced from one side of the room to the other. Yang was sitting out, guarding the large gap in the wall as Blake sat on her bed, her eyes locked with her book as she tried to ignore the feeling of helplessness with Glenn by her side.
Oobleck and Ruby had returned a few hours ago, the man just staring at the four of them before leaving for his own camp site in the other room. "Why did you let him leave?" Ruby asked as Weiss paused in mid step.
"We didn't get a chance to object to him leaving, and now that stupid blonde is missing" Weiss grumbled, wondering when she would skewer the boy on her rapier for making her worry so much. "He's going to come back" Yang spoke up as she watched a few Grimm walking close to the building.
The negative emotions from the group were slowly attracting them.
"How could you know that?" Weiss snapped as the blonde glanced back at her. "Because he's been through worse, he'll be back, and I'll be giving him a righteous punch in the face for making us worry" she said with a strained smile.
"We should get some sleep, if he's not back by morning we'll have to look for him" Blake pointed out as Weiss sighed in frustration. "She's right, we'll need our strength to search for him...and the white fang" Ruby added as Weiss nodded.
Hours later Blake stared into the ceiling of the room, the crackling of the fire the only sound she could hear as Ruby stayed on look out. "Blake, you awake" Yang whispered as the cat girl titled her head to look at her.
"Yeah" she replied, locking eyes with the blonde girl. "Do you think Glenn's okay" Yang asked, looking away from Blake as said girl raised an eyebrow at her. "You know him as well as the rest of us, he'll be okay" Blake said reassuringly.
"I know, but...this isn't vale, anything could have happened" Yang replied worryingly as Blake sat up. "We just need to believe, I...I had a partner before I left the white fang, I ended up giving up on him...and I don't want to do the same to Glenn, not now" Blake said.
"What happened to your partner?" Yang asked, sitting up on her elbow as Blake sighed. "He...changed, when the new leader of the white fang came into power, Adam...he started to crave violence, it wasn't about peace anymore, to him it was about getting even, our final mission, he didn't care for anyone on board that train, he just wanted to destroy it all" Blake explained.
"He wasn't the same man I once knew, he changed, and I gave up trying to save him at that point...I'm not going to do it again, Glenn will come back, I know it" she added as Yang smiled at her. "This is the most you've talked in a while" she teased as Blake shot her a glare.
"Way to ruin the moment Yang" Blake said, turning away as Yang giggled quietly to herself.
As the night drifted on, team RWBY started to fall into the realm of sleep, leaving Ruby to stay on guard with Zewi beside her.
Only there was no Zewi.
"Zewi" Ruby whispered, sneaking out of the building in look of the corgi. She found him, standing just behind a pillar with a leg extended. "Zewi" Ruby mumbled, wondering why her dog couldn't just go to the toilet inside the buildings, it not like they needed to keep it clean.
Despite what Weiss said, the place was as dirty as you could get.
"Come on" she whispered as Zewi walled over, happily returning to his masters side as Ruby sighed in relief. Only to squeak in surprise as a small group of white fang members turned around the corner of the road.
"I'm pretty sure I saw something" one of them mumbled as they shifted their rifle in their hands. "I think you're crazy, that large Grimm is only a rumour to scare us" another said as they made to turn the next corner.
"I'm n0t sure man, didn't Romans little girl say something about seeing something flying over head" another added as the first scuffed at him. "She can't speak, how would she say anything" he said as the faunus shrugged.
He didn't know how the girl did anything she did. And he didn't want to find out either.
Ruby quietly sneaked behind the group, keeping Zewi close to her as she listened to them talk. "Do they know where Glenn is" she mumbled wondering if the flying thing was their missing member. Hiding around the next corner, Ruby stopped as the group moved inside one of the buildings, disappearing inside.
"I have to tell the others" she said, turning to run back towards the camp.
Only to hear the tale tell sign of a crack forming below her. "Oh no" she whispered, the cracking growing bigger as Zewi happily looked up at her.
Glenn woke up, his limbs restrained against a metal table as his eyes groggily opened to the dimly lit room. A single light swung over his head, blinking every so often as the blonde looked around in confusion.
"Where...am I?" he questioned pulling gently against the bindings, only to find that they wouldn't give unless he really tried. He paused in his attempt to escape when the door to the room opened the light illuminating the room as a lone figure stood at the doorway.
As it shut, Glenn caught sight of pink, and brown moving forward, his eyes widening as Neo stepped into the light, Smiling down at him as her gloved hand trailed across his chin. "Ugh...fancy meeting you here" Glenn said, smiling nervously as Neo's widened.
"Yes, quiet the coincidence" Neo's electric note pad read as the blonde chuckled lightly. "Can I say you look beautiful and you'll let me go" he asked as the smaller girl shook her head, her eyes shinnying in mischief.
Slowly, she climbed onto the metal table, straddling the captured blonde as she lowered her face to be nose to nose with him. "So...can I at least..." he was cut off as the girl pressed her lips to his, his eyes widening in surprise as she slipped her tongue inside his mouth.
"Well...that was...ugh" Glenn mumbled, a deep red blush blooming across his face as Neo sat up, smiling down at him as she silently giggled into her hand. A small tap drew his attention as he looked to see Neo holding a scroll in front of him.
"I'll have to go cutie, I'll be back later, don't move" it read as the smaller girl hopped off the table, walking out of the light as she vanished in a burst of static. "Fuck" Glenn cursed as he stayed restrained to the table.
Something was going to happen...and he was going to be needed.
With that in mind, Glenn snapped the ropes holding him, his Katana forming in his right hand as his gauntlet unfolded, frost shells loading into the barrels as the blonde moved towards the door.
Yang kneeled beside the large hole in the ground, her hand gripping the smaller form of crescent rose as she, Weiss, Blake and Oobleck stared into the hidden city below them. "Why didn't we think of it before, the city buried below us was a perfect place to hide, from both Grimm and hunters" the doctor mumbled as he held Zewi under his arm.
"If my sisters down there, we need to find her" Yang said, standing back up as the green haired man nodded. "And we will, we are two students down and a evil organisation up, we have work to do" he said, sipping his canteen before it started to unfold into a long bow staff.
The three members of team ruby nodded as they turned away from the hole, following Oobleck as he lead them towards one of the few known entrances to the underground city.
"Hay, let me go" Ruby whinnied, struggling to get away from the two white fang members dragging her through an abandoned train shaft. "Shut up, we need to tell the boss about you" one of them ground in annoyance.
"Ugh sir" one of the member with a pair of glasses over his mask spoke as Ruby was dragged towards a train cart. "This had better be good new Perry, because I have had a day" a voice replied as Ruby wondered why it sounded familiar.
"Ugh...not really" Perry answered as a black top hat and orange hair poked out form the opened train cart, a burning cigar in between his teeth as the man's single visible eye landed on Ruby. "That...is not good news" Roman said with a scowl.
Ruby could only stare, getting more worried by the second as the man stepped out of the train car, his cane tapping against the ground as he made his way towards her and the white fang members.
