CHAPTER 74

Both Yuuta and Mizuki waited for the boy to answer. Just as they thought it was going to be hopeless the cat snapped out of whatever daze he was in and looked at them. Ryoma blinked and looked around taking a second to realize where he was.

"Ryo-Chan!" They all looked to the sound of where the voice was coming from to see Fuji and Tezuka approaching. Ryoma ran to Syu and spoke.

"Syusuke, it's true, right? Babies are delivered by storks?" The boy stopped in front of the tensai and waited determined that he was right.

"Who taught you that?" Ryoma noticed someone from the corner of his eye and watch as Mitsu walked passed him and picked up the boy's forgotten racket and ball which he dropped when he spaced out, not that the Seigaku student's knew that he did.

"Master said. He told me that everyone is delivered by storks in the middle of the night when two people in love make a wish. Then master said that I was different and was brought to earth by a tiger." Syu hated this so called master of Ryoma's. He had hurt the boy beyond compare, but the way Ryoma describes this man sometimes, Syu could only feel more jealous. He guessed this is what Shan felt as well. After all you see the amount of damage done to the boy, you could only feel anger towards the man who did this. Problem was you don't really want to tell Ryoma how bad this master really was because the boy could end up hating you for being mean about someone he sees as a god.

"Well, Ryo-Chan you should believe whatever you think is right. Anyway you and Yuuta both have your match starting very soon." Ryoma nodded and turned to see Mitsu standing behind him.

"Ok let's go." With that he got his racket from the captain and walked to the courts with them.

Once the three Seigaku student's left, Yuuta and Mizuki had once again exchanged looks. It was finally that Mizuki spoke. "Who's this master guy?" Getting a shrug from the younger Fuji as he wanted answers to his own question.

"What I want to know is when my brother and Tezuka dated? And why Echizen thinks that all families should do that kind of stuff?" They went and joined the rest of their team back at the courts. Yuuta knowing that after this match him and his brother are going to have to have a long talk. It was one he knew he had to have, but didn't really want to have it.

When they had gotten back to the court they found that Eiji and Oishi had lost due to the fact that the red-head had lost all his stamina again and by then it was already a close match.

So now Ryoma and Yuuta both made their way to the court they were going to be playing on. The game started and Yuuta was first to serve. The first game went to the younger Fuji. Ryoma had been caught off guard by his super rising shot. The next round was the cat's turn to serve. Ryoma ended doing a left handed twist serve which was caught easily and sent back making it 15-0 to Yuuta. As Ryoma was getting use to the pace of the game he upped his speed and started getting to the ball quicker much to everyone's surprise. As the cat thought he was finally going to win a set the brunette across from him unleashed his best move. The twist spin shot. Instead of the cat being shocked he was pissed.

"Hey, that's not fair." He shouted pointing at Yuuta, which made everyone watching wonder what the other did wrong. "Why are you allowed to use that move and I'm not?" He demanded and stomped his feet.

"What do you mean? You know how to do the twist spin shot?" Mizuki along with the Seigaku regulars looked at the boy in surprise.

"Yeah, but Shan told me that I shouldn't use it because it can damage my arm and he doesn't want me hurt. So you shouldn't do it either. I don't like family getting injuries." Yuuta just stared at the person in front of him. He couldn't believe that the move could hurt his arm. Mizuki had taught him the move and told him it was their best shot at getting to nationals. He showed a face full of apologize to the boy knowing that if he wanted to win this match he was going to have to use it. After all the cat maybe childish, but when he was good at something he could excel beyond normal. That's what his brother had told him anyway.

"Fine!" He yelled. "If your going to use that, I'm gonna think of a way to stop you." Ryoma's bottom lip pushed out into a big pout. The one's closer to the court all smiled when they heard the boy mutter. "Big fat cheater." Before doing back to the baseline.

In amazment they watch as the boy kept true to his word. Trying different hits and moves to try and get a point. 3-0 to Yuuta and everyone was thinking that the match was going to be over soon. Until the young Fuji used his twist spin shot and Ryoma ran towards to he slid across the ground and went under the ball returning the shot. Everyone watched as the ball looked like it was going to go out and instead hit the ground and bouncing back up. It looked like the letter B. The cat smirked since he finally got it.

"Drive B." Ryoma shouted in excitement. All Seigaku regulars watched in awe. Inui decided to now speak up.

"I know this is just random thought, but don't you think it's strange the when he decides to think things though properly he becomes somewhat of a prodgy." They all looked to the data collector and nodded. In their opinion the boy was definitly something. In the end the game was 6-3 to Ryoma. He jumped back to his team happily and smiled. "Well done Echizen." Inui spoke. "I got good data from that match." Ryoma looked to notice Syu wasn't there. Frowning he looked over to a tree to see Mitsu leaning against it.

"Kunimitsu?" The cat called. Tezuka glanced to the side at the boy and could see what question he wanted to ask.

"Syu's gone for a walk." Ryoma nodded. He could tell something was wrong with the tensai without even seeing the other.

When Fuji had finally returned he was no longer smiling and had his eyes open. He looked anything, but pleased. Ryoma not missing a beat ran to him and wrapped his arms round the other. "You okay?" The boy questioned. "If you want we can have Yuuta round for dinner tonight?" This did cause the tensai to smiled just slightly.

"You like Yuuta?" Getting a nod from the cat, Syu finally returned the hug, happy that Ryoma trying to cheer him up. "I'll go ask him now. You need to go beat that meanie Mizuki up. I don't like him." Syu smiled even wider.

"Neither do I Ryo-Chan." They both dropped their arms so they were no longer hugging and Ryoma went to Mitsu and grabbed his hand telling the other they need to go ask Yuuta something, then dragged the captain away much to the other regulars amusment.

The trio freshmen watched the scene from one of the benches not far away. "Wondering how Ryoma got that close to the captain and Fuji-senpai?" Katsuo asked as he looked to see the tensai glaring at St. Rudolph tennis team.

"Ahh, who knows. Echizen should be hanging round with us more. We are the same age as him and he could always learn a thing or two about tennis from me. After all I have two years of tennis experiance." Both Katsuo and Kachiro sweat dropped at the unibrow.

"Eh, you know that Ryoma is better than you and has only been playing for about 7 months now." This cause Horio's dream to crumble. Almost making it look like a dark cloud was hanging over his head. Kachiro realizing what he'd done carried on talking, but this time to in an attempt to make the other happy. "But you're probably right. He might not know as many rules as techniques as you since he hasn't had as much time to learn about it." And like that Horio's ego was back in full swing.

"You're right, maybe I should give Echizen private tutoring on the way of tennis. I'm sure he would be amazed by my knowledge."

'Yeah, sure he would.' Both the other freshmen though as they could only feel sorry for the said boy.

Mitsu had got the boy to slow down and the cat also eventually let go of the captains hand, but made sure to keep him close. After all he was going into enemy teritory and he would need back up if he was going to win.

As they got closer Ryoma spotted Yuuta and started to shout. "Yuuta! Yuuta! Come to our house for dinner?"
