OKAY... SO LAST CHAPTER HAD AN AMAZING THING HAPPEN! THEY KISSED! JSNBQWHVQWIYVBWIUVC SO HAPPY!

SO THIS CHAPTER IS ON A SADDER NOTE. MERE IS BACK IN THE HOSPITAL. KATNISS GOT HER FIRST KISS AND ISN'T SURE WHAT TO DO.

I want to keep kissing him but at the same time I want to push him away. But I don't have a choice because the elevator doors open and we jump apart. An old lady with a pomeranian puppy gets off. Peeta bolts to the open elevator and he doesn't look back at me. The doors close and I'm standing here like 'What just happened?'

My first kiss only lasted three seconds at the most. Why'd I let him kiss me? I should've backed away or punched him or something. But I didn't. No. In fact I kissed him back.

The worst part is, I can't even tell if I liked it or not.

The only seats available for the plane are in first class. They cost more but Mom sighs and pays for it, much to us children's delight.

"That means we can watch movies and get juice boxes and big seats..." Prim raddles off to Lindley. I think Prim likes the fact she's older than someone, therefor having authority over said person.

"Really? What movies?" Lindley asks, her blue eyes shining.

"I don't know. Maybe Monsters Inc. or Finding Nemo. Only good movies. No boring adult movies." Prim says with superiority.

Once they board us onto the plane, Prim and Lindley sit in front of us and Mom and I sit behind them.

Prim takes great pleasure in asking for coloring books, to watch a movie and comfy pillows to the flight attendants who think Lindley and Prim are 'just absolutely the cutest things!'

Mom and I decide to watch She's The Man.

Once we're settled and the plane has taken off, Mom turns to me.

"Katniss, honey, is something bothering you?" She asks.

I look at her in disbelief. "Um..."

"Besides the whole Mere situation."

"Oh, nothing." My voice comes out a little high-pitched. Mom's secret way of knowing when I'm lying.

Mom raises an eyebrow. "Katniss, it's a boy isn't it?"

I slump against my seat. "Well. Not exactly. Kind of. Yes. I don't know." I mutter.

"Oh, come on. What's his name?" She asks, her eyes are bright. How can she talk about this dumb stuff like Mere isn't in the hospital? Then I realize it's because she wants to not talk about it. Maybe for Prim and Lindley's sake or even mine. She doesn't want to worry us.

"Mom," I groan.

Mom laughs, "Honey, what am I going to do? Tell him? I doubt I know him."

I finger the armrest, trying not to make eye-contact. "What if you do know him?"

"You know you can tell me anything." She says in all seriousness. I was planning on telling Beth and Mere first, they help me through everything.

I bury my face into my arms and say, "Peeta Mellark kissed me." but it's muffled and come out sounding like, "Peetampprhhhkissedmmphhhme."

"What honey?" Mom says, trying to pull on my arms. I jerk back and groan.

This time I say it more forcefully. "PEETAMHHRRRKISSEDMPHHEEEEE!"

"Someone kissed you?" Mom asks.

I keep my face buried, "YRRRSSSSS!"

"Yes?" Mom asks to clarify.

I nod.

"Would you please tell me?" She begs.

"PRRRTTTAAAMPHHRRRRLLARRKKKKK!"

Mom pulls my arms away and this time I don't jerk back. "Who?"

"Peeta Mellark." I say in lighting speed, I'm not even sure what I said exactly.

She looks at me with total confusion. "Peter who?"

"Peeta Mellark." I say again, this time slower.

Mom looks at me with a strange look in her eye. "Mellark? As in the Mellark Bakery?"

I cover my eyes with my hands to cover my red face. "Yes."

"The youngest one?" Mom asks, she is known by me for her nosiness.

"Yes."

"Oh, he's awfully cute." Mom says elbowing me.

I take my face out of my hands and she's smiling at me and wiggling her eyebrows.

"What exactly happened?" She asks.

"Well, I was waiting by the elevator with the luggage. Then he came and asked me what was wrong because I was crying. I asked him why he cared. Then he just kissed me." I tell her. "But then someone came out of the elevator and he ran inside. He didn't even look back at me." I sniffle a little.

"Honey," Mom says and hugs me as best she can with an armrest in the way. "It's okay."

I can assure you, it was most definantly not okay.
