"Wendy!"

Upon arriving, Wendy was tackled by Peter. Kyle was there too, hanging back; waiting for Peter to be done, although it looked like he wasn't go to let go any time soon. As for the other Lost Kids, some of Ash's friends were scolding her after she explained what happened; others were just glad that they were okay, even if some were glaring at Ash.

"I know you all really hate me now, but check it. While escaping, we found this letter; looks really old too."

That quickly changed the mood and everyone began chattering about its contents. One suggested it was full of insults, another full of lies, and a third a letter of poems.

"Will you lot quiet down, nobody's going to know what it says unless you all shut up," commanded Ash.

Everyone's mouth snapped shut as they waited eagerly.

Ash grinned, "Much better." She ripped open the envelope and started reading the contents.

'Dear reader,

If you are reading this letter, you've found my hidden stash of pixie dust. And I regret that I've grown too old to use it to meet "the most wonderful boy in the world," Peter Pan. I'm glad though that I got to hear about one of his many adventures and remind people their childhood, what it was like to be young. His tale will be forever a classic and should you meet him, give my best regards and there's a present from an old friend of his in the envelope.

Have Lots of Adventures,

J.M. Barrie'

Silence.

Then an explosion of explanations, Lost Kids talking over each other so they could get their input in. Kyle looked over at Wendy, who was a little pale and Peter, with a look of astonishment.

"QUIET!" Ash yelled. Everyone shut up, looking at Ash and she glared right back. With a satisfied nod, tipped over the envelope, a small acorn landed in her hand.

"That's mine!" Peter shouted, startling everyone. "That's my kiss!" He moved so fast a few could claim he flew and snatched the acorn from Ash. Then he was gone, disappearing to the most secluded area in the hideout.

"What just happened?"

Wendy didn't know who asked and she didn't care, she was more concerned about Peter. It was the first Wendy's kiss, a gift from Peter so long ago and it had saved her life. Not many people remember this about the story but the original Wendy had asked for a second kiss. Peter was disappointed he had to give up the thimble she had given him before she realized her mistake and changed kiss to thimble.

But for Peter to receive that acorn after all these years, he must be feeling terrible.

Quietly approaching his hiding spot, not sure what she was going to do but knew she had to do something. Peter sat against the wall with his legs tucked close to his chest, fingering the little acorn.

"She doesn't want me," he stated, beginning to shake. "I could've been the best son she ever had."

Wendy didn't know what to do, so she did what she thought was best: got down on her knees and hugged him. Peter stiffened, for he always claimed not to be touched, before hesitantly rapping his arms around her and relaxing. Something wet landed on her shoulder, then she realized he was crying!

How long has he been holding this in? Trying to be the fearless boy the story portrays? He's just a boy, Wendy reminds herself, and boys get scared like everyone else.

Without realizing it, Wendy began to sway back and forth, cradling Peter. Soon both fell asleep holding each other and that is how Kyle found them.

Gently, he placed a blanket over them and tucked in the corners. However something caught his eye, for around Wendy's neck was an acorn with a hole through it that Peter secretly slipped on.

Kyle glanced at Peter and saw the happiest expression on his sleeping face. She really does make him happy, Kyle thought to himself, then frowned. But if she leaves, it'll be more devastating than the first time.

For now, he'll leave them in peace.

It's a shame Peter wasn't awake so Kyle would know how happy Wendy made him. For underneath those closed eyelids, emerald eyes twinkled like stars, dreaming of many wonderful adventures with his Wendy.

A/N: Sorry it's been awhile but I'm at a new school (military btw and it's a lot more fun than most people think) so I have really keep up with my work or I end up suspended. So here's a new chapter and a lot of fluff. I still think I could've added something like Wendy's response to "She doesn't want me." But oh well, in my mind, I see Wendy's kiss as a form of apology for growing up but that's just me; Peter obviously thought something else. So good? Bad? What do you think? REVIEW!
