Let's start the chapter. I'm winging this, let's see how this turns out

Once they were let in the group was led to their sleeping quarters in a secured apartment. Wellington consisted of 3 suburbs, 2 apartments, a couple police station, 1 makeshift school, a hospital, and a few farms. Luke went to speak with the leader, named Mark, and was told that they would be given two days to get settled before getting involved.

During the first day a couple more people helped bring Kenny to a makeshift Hospital to get his eye checked out while the others talked with everyone else. There were 20 people, not including Clem's group and the army group, and they seemed to know what they were doing. They learned that in the beginning there were only 4 blocks, but they eventually grew stronger and took more land.

The rest of the day went by rather fast, but when a recon group came back, things got serious. A horde had been spotted heading for them, and they would be on them in about a day in a half. They started making preparations and had all un-armed civilians move to the heart of the compound.

The next morning, Clem woke up to the sound of gunshots, as did everyone else. They were quickly herded away as the guards faced the onslaught of walkers. After the all clear was sounded, everyone quickly dispersed and checked the area for anything that could have gotten through un-noticed.

Once that had been taken care of, the dead walker bodies were brought to a separate area of the large fortress, and were burned down. Since it was their last day to relax, they decided to take it easy for the rest of the day, until Clem noticed Jane standing by the entrance to the outside as if waiting for someone.

Clem slowly approaches her and stands next to her.

"Still waiting for him?" Clem asks

"Yeah" Jane responds, "I just wish that I could change the past"

"Well...he said that he'd never forget you"

"Yeah, he did, didn't he?"

The two just stand there in a comfortable silence, until they hear the sound of a vehicle driving up to the gate. A couple of the males walked up with one of the leaders. Jane and Clem walked behind some debris, but watched what was going on. From what they could tell, it was some kind of caravan.

The driver started talking with the leader and they started trading goods. A couple of the guys gave him some supplies before hopping into the back to the vehicle. Jane swore she could her girls in there, and quickly pulled Clem away without being noticed.

Jane led them back to where the others were lounging and got Nathan's attention.

"Hey Nathan, get over here. Clem, go relax or something"

Clem walked off to find something to do while Jane talked with Nathan.

"You want something Jane?"

"Yeah, I want to know if there was ever a back up plan that you guys could've come up with"

"Well...nothing really, but I think we did come up with the idea of making a fortress"

"Really? How original"

"Not like this kind of fortress, a huge one. One that no walker could ever get into, and people could be safe forever"

"That sounds impossible"

"Maybe, but it gave us hope. Maybe James is doing that right now, and building up an army that can defeat these creatures"

"Like I said, impossible. Or at least overly optimistic"

"Well, sometimes optimism can be a good thing. Although Skelly was always the pessimist"

After the conversation Jane went somewhere to get some rest while Nathan started tossing a tennis ball against a wall. Everyone would soon see how Wellington worked.

1 month has gone by since both groups made it to Wellington, and Jane has still been waiting for James. During their time, they've seen how things work. The military group was first sent on a Scavenging mission while the others were send on, what they call, Extermination missions.

Jane is sitting on a couple of empty crates, looking at the entrance. She ran her thumb along the side of the knife that James had given her. A week ago, a message had been delivered by a group of heavily armed people, and it was for Jane. She was told that Skelly would be visiting soon, which extremely surprised her. Some of the other members were hesitant to let this "Skelly" person in, but they said they would give him a chance.

Jane was stirred out of her dazed state when people started rushing around, grabbing guns and other weapons. Jane quickly ran up to the top of the wall to see what was going on. A large swarm of walkers were approaching, bigger than normal.

After taking shots at them, they managed o break through one of the weaker walls. Everyone thought that they were dead and started panicking and started pushing, shoving, and running as fast as they could. However, Jane looked out to the tree line and sees some figures moving forward. Jane quickly calls some of the leaders over to see.

Getting a better look, Jane sees people carrying weapons of various types, and some were holding ammo containers. The ones with weapons ran forward and started picking the walkers off at an alarming rate. Once they ran out of ammo, they handed their guns to the people holding onto the ammunition. The one's with the ammo started reloading the guns while the others pulled out their melee weapons.

They ranged from sickles to knives t bats. Once they got it range, it was complete massacre. The distraction caused the walkers to focus their attention on the fighters, and started walking out of the fortress. the Wellington people started firing at the ones that were leaving, which helped both sides. During the fighting, Jane looked around, but couldn't find the person she was looking for, but then, someone walked out from the tree line.

He was wearing a white sweat shirt with a lot more red on it and an upgraded skeleton mask, and was carrying a Spas-12, with a bayonet attached to the end of the barrel. He started walking forward, past the people who were finishing reloading, and led them to the coming walkers. The melee people ran back to let the others finish them off.

Once they were all out of the way, the figure aimed him shotgun at the closest walker. One he fired that one shot, everyone else massacred them. Tearing them apart with the gunfire. Once the firing stopped, they all crushed the heads of any remaining walkers while the hooded figure walked up to the gate.

The Wellington people were already fixing the broken wall while the gate opened and let him in. Jane rushed down to the gate to see him. Once there, she was frozen as she watched him walk through the open gate with 2 Wellington guards. They just stared at each other, until he tossed his weapon down and held his arms open.

Jane took this and slowly moved forward until she found herself wrapping her arms around him. She could feel him wrap his own arms around her as they just held each other. Clem and the others walked up to see what was happening. Clem smiled as she saw the embrace.

Jane was almost ecstatic, but didn't want to ruin the moment. Eventually they did have to let go when the leaders came. They asked Skelly what he wanted in return for his help. He respectfully declined, and said there were more reasons of helping them, discretely looking at Jane through the mask. Jane obviously knew he was talking about her, as she looked away with the slightest of blushes.

Once everything had settled, Skelly was about to leave, but Jane pulled him away into a hidden area, and pulls off his mask. Jane then proceeds to eat his face (A.N. O.O ...Uh...I really don't have anything to respond to that...). He returned with an even greater sense of passion.

"I've missed you" Jane says while James was kissing her neck

"Me too" James responds

Jane pushes them apart only to ask, "Can you promise me that you won't disappear?"

"Yes I can, 'cause I plan on visiting every month"

"That's good, but are you gonna be staying for Christmas?"

"Sure. I'll try to make it here at least"

After another kiss and a heartfelt goodbye, Skelly left with his men, leaving Jane standing on the wall with a smile on her face. She sees him turn around and point at pocket. Jane felt through her own pocket, and there was a not. It says, "Keep that knife in good condition"

Jane smiled as she put the piece of paper back in her pocket. She looked back up and saw Skelly had disappeared. Jane went back to the others at the sun went down and laid down on her bed. She closed her eyes and smiled, knowing that things would get better.

A.N. OK, I don't know how this'll do, so give me feed back. I'm gonna keep this going as long as possible, so...yeah
