CHAPTER 80
The next morning Gen and Mitsu had woken about the same time, giving each other a look of dread. They couldn't believe they would have to wear suits for this. The only reason they even had them was because when they dated Keigo he had them made for them. Mitsu opened the wardrobe to see both his and Gen's in there. Grabbing both he passed the vice-captain's one to him.
Both had gotten changed in silence and once done looked each other over. Mitsu's suit was a dark grey. With a white shirt underneath along with a midnight blue tie. While Gen's was a black suit with a light blue shirt and a black tie. They had to admit Keigo had really good fashion sense.
"I'm guessing Kei got you yours the same reason he brought mine." Mitsu commented as he looked at the other. They both shared a small smile between themselves. As he was about to say something else the door opened and Ryoma stood at it gaping at them. "Something wrong Ryoma?" They watched as the cat went slightly pink in the face.
"You both look really nice." He said as he went over to his chest and got out what he was going to wear. Not caring if they were watching, the boy stripped and changed. Ryoma kept his head down as he spoke. "We should go down stairs. The boy rushed out the door and down the stairs to go greet Tomo.
At the table were both Syu and Sei having some toast. While Tomo had the camera out and was waiting for the moment when things would get interesting. Wanting to know how they would react when they saw two certain people in suits. Ryoma walked in and looked at the two eating. "Is it just me or is it really hot today?" They all looked to the boy to see his face looking flustered. As they were about to comment, both Gen and Mitsu entered. Causing them to have the same coloured face as the cat.
"What... Why are you wearing that?" Sei pointed at them trying to keep his voice calm. The two in suits looked at the two sadists to realize they were just wearing normal everyday clothes. Hearing a clicking sound they turned to the butler to see him smirking. 'Oh, I see.' Sei thought as went back to starting at the two again.
"Right, we are going outside in a minute. Ryoma put you hood on since we are out the front. Kunimitsu, Genichiro you will be holding those red rose to put down at the end. Syu, Sei both of you will stand either side of Ryoma. I will be filming it." They could only stare in shock at the butler. Now knowing this was his plan all along. The cat on the other hand thought this was a brilliant idea.
Ryoma, Syu and Sei had join Keigo outside first standing to the side. Tomo was next with his camera in hand. Finally when Gen and Mitsu came out, both somehow managing to keep straight faces, Keigo's entire face went red. Tomo who was now filming, spoke knowing fully well Kei was having an inner war. "Something up Keigo? You face had gone red." He turned and glared knowing it was the butlers doing of this whole predicament.
"No, nothing." He slightly squeaked. His eyes wandering back to the suits. He coughed trying to clear his throat.
Syu and Sei had no real idea of what was going on. All they got told was they were going to do a memorial to remember and honour a death. Whose death? They had no idea. So all stood quietly as Keigo started to talk.
"Today we are here to honour the death of, err..." He looked to Ryoma who was already in tears. The cat saw the look and realized he didn't give a name.
"Mr Patrick Penguin." The boy sniffed a bit, rubbing his nose with the back of his hand.
"Right, Mr Patrick Penguin." Syu and Sei both exchange looks from the corner of their eyes. Syu had bit down on his bottom lip while Sei had put both hands behind his back and squeezed one in the other. "Who had died three years ago in Antarctica. It was a shame this wasn't brought about earlier and was only discovered when Ryoma watched a TV program about penguins." Syu's eyes were filling up with tears. Oh, how badly he wanted to laugh. He snorted slightly and started to sniff, doing his best to hold everything in. Ryoma getting the wrong idea thinking that Fuji was upset grab his hand. He interrupted Keigo to console Syu.
"There, there. Don't worry. Patrick is in a better place now." Syu knowing he was going to burst any second bent down and brought the boy into his arms making sure the cat wasn't facing any of the others. His shoulders were shaking and tears fell, trailing down his cheeks. He laughed though his nose making it sound like he was sort of crying. One arm around the cats waist and the other holding the back of Ryoma's head to his shoulder.
"Thank you Ryo-Chan, you're so kind." Syu spoke softly. Tomo had kept a blank face while he recorded all the reaction that were happening. Keigo was smiling at them, Sei was full out grinning and both Gen and Mitsu's lips were twitching as if they were forcing themselves to stop smiling. When he pulled away he looked into the boy's eyes giving him a small smile.
"Patrick was a good boy." Ryoma's whispered as his bottom lip trembled. He drew in a shaky breath. As he was about to carry on Keigo interrupted.
"Oi, Ore-Sama thought he was meant to be saying the nice words about the penguin." Ryoma nodded and stood back in his original position. Everyone went quiet again. "As Ore-Sama was saying. Patrick was a good penguin. He was kind and gentle. I'm sure if he had a wife and child they would miss him dearly. Please let us bow our head for a few minutes silence in honour of his memory."
After that Gen and Mitsu had placed the roses by the tree. They were all about to head inside when they got stopped by Tomo. "Hey, we haven't finished." Gen held in a sigh. Didn't Tomo think they were already humiliated enough. "I want to take a group photo."
It was one in the morning in England and Shan along with Emon and Kazu were sitting in their hotel room. They had been discussing ways to get information from Senichi. This talk had been going on for over 3 hours and all of them were tired. To make matters even worse Shan had to got back to the mental institution sometime. "I told you Shan you have to go alone. The man will just get more defensive if me and Gen'emon are there too." Kazu had said for the ninth time that night. Sighing the younger of the three ran a hand though his hair.
"I know already. I just need to get this information. I just hate the way he tries to manipulate the situation to benefit him. He won't stop going on about wanting to see Ryoma. I can't do that. If Ryoma saw him all the progress we made could go down the drain. Then there's Sei..." Shan went to the window and looked down into the streets.
"There was no way you knew what Sen was doing back then. Shan, you can't blame yourself." Kazu sighed and leaned back in his chair. He had only known Shan for about 3 years and he had learnt that the other blamed himself for everything bad that had ever happened in his nephews life.
"How can you say that. It was my fault for not noticing earlier... No, in fact I knew what was going on and I just made myself look the other way. Thinking it was just my imagination, my brother would never hurt his own son. If I had just stepped in Sei wouldn't be ill. How was I meant to know these so called business trips he went on were just a cover up for creating some weird fantasy in his fucked up mind." He punched his fist into the wall. "I'm going to bed." With that he went toward a door on the other end of the room to go get some shut eye.
The two elders exchanged looks. They wondered how long Shan could keep this up. This was just like 3 years ago when they first met him. When he had first asked for their help. It had taken them another year after their first meeting to finally get Shan to admit the real reason for Sei's illness. And just after they had saved Ryoma, Shan always found it difficult to think that it could of been Seiichi in the boy's position. But what Shan hated the most was that he was glad Ryoma was taken and not his nephew.
Yo everyone!
Thanks for your reviews :)
I'm going to be taking a small break from this. So the next chapter should be up by Monday at the latest. Sorry, I sort of have to read though the entire story again because I noticed I wrote things a while back which doesn't make sense in later chapters. Once I get back on track I'll update daily again and so far I've rewritten the first chapter, but I'm not sure if take away the intro and replace it with the new one or just make a new rewrite of it completely in a new document.
