CHAPTER 85
When Mitsu and Syu had finally gotten home they were called into the kitchen. Inside Keigo was sitting on one of the chairs at the table. Still looking guilty about all that he had said. As Mitsu was about to ask where Ryoma was Kei interrupted him.
"The brat grabbed your pillow and one of Gen's shirts before running into Sei's room." Nodding Mitsu left the room and wondered up the stairs. Tomo sighed already hearing from Keigo what had happened. He was going to tell them they were having people round later, but for now they might as well sort out this mishap.
Tezuka was standing outside Sei's door wondering if the boy was asleep yet or just laying there. Slowly taking his chance he opened the door and peaked in. Mitsu could help, but let a pained smile appear on his face. Ryoma was on the end of the bed, in one of Gen's shirt's. What truly got Mitsu to smile though was the fact that the cat had wrapped both his legs, arms and tail around his pillow, along with his face buried into it.
Treading as lightly as he could he made his way over and sat down on the edge near the boy's feet. Looking to make sure he didn't sit on them he noticed the word Beauty written on one. He pulled the foot to him gently and rubbed a thumb over the sole of the foot. He felt Ryoma shiver and could only guess that the scar was sensitive. Mitsu thought about all the pain Ryoma must of gone though from a young age and what he would of been like if any of this never happened. Would they still of met? Would Ryoma have the same personality as he did now? Would any of them think about having a relationship with five other people? There were so many questions. And all of them forever remaining unanswered since they couldn't travel back in time and see.
Lifting Ryoma's foot up more he brought his face closer wanting to kiss the bottom of it. As he was about to place his lips on it he noticed golden eyes staring at him in a sleepy daze. He opened his mouth about to come up with some excuse when his face met a foot and Ryoma screamed.
Syu and Kei were sitting downstairs drinking green tea and just enjoying the silence. Tomo finally decided to tell them about the guest he spoke up. "We're having a few people round for dinner." Just about he was about to say who was coming a scream echoed though out the house. Hearing bangs and crashes to go with the scream. They then heard foot steps thundered down the stairs. Ryoma looked scared when he can running to the kitchen and clutching onto Tomo shirt. "Ryoma calm down. You almost had me over. What's happened now?"
"Mitsu... er I mean Tezuka was going to eat my foot." Both Kei and Syu sweat dropped at the claim. "And there's blood everywhere." Without a second thought the two 18 year olds rushed upstairs to aid the other while Ryoma stay in the kitchen with Tomo. The butler told the cat to sit at the table. He did as he was told and waited. When Tomo finally had an idea of what to say he spoke carefully hoping he would anger the boy or bring him to tears.
"Ryoma, you should call him either Mitsu or Kunimitsu." He watched as the boy scowled. "I mean it. I thought you and him were meant to be close. Do you even realize how much you hurt Kunimitsu when you called him Tezuka?" Ryoma's face dropped. He knew exactly how bad he had hurt the other. In fact he felt guilty about it. Mitsu as Ryoma had said before was precious to him. He never wanted the other to leave. "Ryoma, you need to learn to let people in. Stop pushing others away."
"But... I don't want Mitsu to disappear. I don't want him to find out that I'm a really bad boy." The cat rubbed his eyes. Hoping that he would stop the water works. He hated to cry, but it seemed that's one of the easiest ways to show his emotions to others.
"From what I've seen of you Ryoma. I would say your the complete opposite of bad. No matter what you have done in the past, if others can't except it then they don't deserve you. You are a very kind hearted teen. Don't let anyone convince you otherwise." As Tomo was about to carry on, Keigo appeared at the door looking panicked.
"There's too much blood!" He half shrieked. "It's not stopping." Tomo told Keigo to stay downstairs with Ryoma while he went to investigate Mitsu's injury.
When Tomo had gone into Sei's room he could only feel sorry for the blunette who's bed had now gotten a massive blood stain in the middle of it. Mitsu was laying on his back on the bed holding his nose trying to stop anymore blood from coming out. He sat down and told Mitsu to sit up.
Slowly pushing himself up he looked to see Tomo dragging his hand away from his face so the butler could get a better look. But instead of helpful advice his only comment was, "Wow, Ryoma sure had one powerful kick." He heard Syu chuckle before adding an extra unhelpful sentence.
"Just think Mitsu, Ryo-Chan's foot has now met both your crotch and your face." The captain glared as the tensai felt unfazed and carried on smiling.
"Kunimitsu, come downstairs." With that the three headed into the lounge where Mitsu was told to lay down on the sofa with his head back. Tomo guessed it was luck really that one of the guests was going to be Doctor Oishi. Ah, that reminded him. Now that he thought about it. Sumire did say about having two extra guests coming. He felt sorry for Ryoma. Knowing the boy was going to have to spend the entire evening wearing a hood. "Ryoma!" Tomo called knowing the cat would hear him. He heard a 'yes' being called back. "Go get changed. We're having people round for dinner and Sumire is bring two others with her."
They all heard the loud muttering about how unfair it was from the boy as he walked up the stairs. To be honest Ryoma wanted to go back to bed and pretend this day never happened. So far he had to say goodbye to Patrick the penguin, he then had to miss tennis practice to help two girls with their own tennis skills. Not only all that he got told that Mitsu loved him by Keigo, along with playing 30 tennis matches and last but not least he had kicked the Seigaku captain in the face to stop the other from eating his foot. He had to admit the one good thing about today was he now had 301 tennis balls. That was 300 more than he had originally.
10 minutes and a lot of tissues later, Mitsu's nose had stopped bleeding. As soon as it did Mitsu had got up and said something about a bath before disappearing upstairs. Grabbing some clean clothes and a towel he walked into the bathroom. He ran the water for his bath and chucked in some bubble bath. He went to the sink and splashed his face with water to get most of the blood of before stripping and stepping into the tub. He turned the taps off before leaning back and letting out a sigh. He was finally feeling relax.
He heard a knock at the door. "Come in." He spoke with his voice more soft than he expected. Watching as the door slowly creaked open he saw a hand and then two golden eyes looking at him. "Ryoma..." He was surprise to see the cat. Mitsu thought the boy was going to avoid him for the rest of the week. He smiled slightly when he saw the boy about to grab his tail only to remember he had to tuck it away for when the guests get here. Ryoma was just happy that he didn't have to put his hood up yet.
Mitsu took his hand out of the water and over the tub. Stretching it out for the boy. Ryoma took small steps reaching out for it like a lost little child. The cat felt guilty. You could see a bruise starting to form on Mitsu's nose. Grabbing it he sat next to the tub and leaned against it rubbing his face against the back of the captains hands.
Mitsu watched the cat in silence. Knowing the boy was still feeling distant. He closed his eyes and just let things be for now. He felt lips on the back of his hand making him smile inwardly. But even a few minutes later both the cat and captain felt chaos run through them.
"Ryoma-Sama!" Was heard being shout. Both Ryoma and Mitsu exchanged looks.
