Chapter Twenty Two: The Maze
Black hair swayed gently in the slightly cool breeze, his piercing green eyes watched as the drops from the sky fell into the lake, creating a constantly moving picture of ripples. Though not one drop touches him, a seemingly powerful dome of magic covers him and the surrounding few feet. His eyes distracted for but a moment, as he glanced at the clear face of a pocket watch, the hand ticked by. Another figure approached from the confines of the forest behind, his black cloak give no true identity but his sway and light swagger gave the young man away, as did the light grey eyes that met his green.
"Draco, you're late." Harry said calmly, in a moment the rain across the whole lake paused, then he slowly clicked his silver pocket watch closed; the rain continued.
Draco walked into the small bubble that Harry had created, slowly he lowered his soaked hood "I apologize, Potter, I had to walk, through the Forbidden Forest, why am I here?" He snapped, his features twisted in a grimace.
Harry without missing much of a beat, casually passed the parchment over to the young man "You summoned me, I merely crafted the terms." He explained still looking out at the lake.
Draco nodded, burning the letter with his wand, no evidence left behind was a good thing after all "I truthfully assumed that you would ignore it all together." He confessed, rubbing his chin lightly.
"You wished to talk." The watch in his hand opened and started to hover in front of him, he paused for a moment "You have ten minutes, after that I shall take my leave."
Draco looked at him with silent confusion, his hand stuffed in his pockets, for June it was bloody cold and Potter didn't seem at all bothered by that. "What happened to you?" He started, his features still marked with confusion "You don't have this air of ignorance that you did last year, nor do you have the air of a murder that you did two months ago."
Harry didn't take his eyes off the lake, the rain still peppered it's surface "Simple, I had my eyes opened….the process of which left me….more scarred than I'd like to admit. I have only recently begun to heal that festered wound. Nine minutes." His green eye glanced over, piercingly.
Draco nodded, biting his lip and closed his eyes for a moment, before he whispered "I'm tired." His voice was almost breathless and his shoulders slumped "You….you said something to me, during that Task." He looked up, his grey eyes now looked suddenly worn "You called me Lucius…..At the time I was convinced that was a compliment…."
"But you are not so sure now, are you?" Harry asked quietly his eyes still looking out to the lake, his Seeker eyes spotted the figure of a Unicorn drinking from the water, across the vastness. Purity, so close, yet so far.
Draco shook his head, looking across the lake with him, his figure straightened just a little "My father had a hand in what happened….didn't he?" He asked gently, his words carefully chosen.
"You'll have to be specific, I know much about your father, know much of what he has done in the name of Voldemort." Harry said coldly, the knowledge of deeds of rape, murder and torture passed through his eyes.
Draco flinched at the name, and shot him a glare before muttering "The Chamber, Potter, was he responsible for The Chamber." His voice was low, eyes darting around, like he was committing such an act of treason.
Harry gave him a curt nod "The Diary of Tom Marvolo Riddle, it had multiple Enchantments, most of which were compelling charms and corruption runes." He lied smoothly, as if he had spoken those words a hundred times in that order. "During our altercation in Diagon Alley, he slipped it into Ginerva's cauldron." He paused for a moment, as if lost in thought or a memory "We both know what happens from there."
Draco nodded, he remembered actually being afraid that year as it grew closer towards the end, Clearwater was a Half-Blood, and she was attacked. Only the Mudbloods were meant to be targeted, if a Half-Blood could be targeted, then so could a Pure-Born wizard. To know that his Father had a hand in releasing a Basilisk, and it was being controlled through an eleven year old girl; a Blood-Traitor no less, was deeply troubling.
"I see…" He trailed off for a moment "Was Sirius Black a Death-Eater? Like the papers said?" He asked calmly, his Mother had only good things to say about his older cousin; what his Father would consider bad things….so they were bad right? That train of thought was giving him a headache, but for his Blood-Traitor of a cousin to turn around and be the Right-Hand of the Dark Lord was unreasonable.
"No, he was framed by Pettigrew, a Half-Blood." He confessed calmly, his head had shaken a bit at the topic. "He is still currently on the run, with your Aunt."
"Bellatrix?" Draco whispered fearfully, not truly remembering her but hearing the stories that she had preformed. Recalling what he had said to Longbottom and the Potter Heir standing next to him, he glanced down a little "I'm…"
"I am well aware." Harry cut him off "Draco you have seven minutes. Please get to your point." He spoke in a low voice.
The blonde was silent for several more long seconds, only the rain lightly tapping the forest floor and lake could be heard, along with the soft breathing of the two teens. "I don't want to be my father." He whispered, his gaze firmly on the ground.
Harry looked at him crossly "Oh? And here I was under the impression that your father was Merlin." He spoke distastefully "It'd do best to not lie to me in the future."
Draco shook his head "I'm not lying, I'm speaking the truth….my Mother has been telling me things for….for months now." He said almost angrily, but it wasn't directed to Harry. "She has been reminding me of exactly what a Death Eater is, a Zealot, if I was in the shoes of a Half-Blood or Mudblood-"
Harry grabbed him by his neck, his eyes like frozen glass "Never, say that word, in my presence again." He growled out lowly, his gaze firm.
Draco flinched at the chill he got through his spine, but found himself nodding regardless "In their shoes….I'd likely find someone like my Father….to be a terrorist." He almost whispered, turning his angry gaze at the lake "I'm just confused, Potter."
Harry nodded, his hands now placed behind his back as he continued to gaze out over the Lake, the Unicorn long gone. "I can see that, to put it simply, every Hero is one man's Villain." He confessed "I am the Hero to the Common-Man, but to the Death Eaters, I am their greatest enemy, next to Dumbledore. It's all perspective."
Draco was silent again as he contemplated these words, before he looked over at Potter "Then where does that leave me?" He asked carefully, his tone calm but clearly confused. "I still see both sides."
"Then that's exactly what you see, you're in the middle, the choice is now yours." He spoke clearly, a sigh escaping his lips "You could follow your father, become the Death Eater he wanted you to be." He said holding out one hand, it was full of green light. "You could leave your family behind, fight for the Light, and Dumbledore." He held his other hand out, it was full of red light.
Draco frowned at the two options, shaking his head slowly "I may not want to be my Father, but…I still love him Potter…you wouldn't….you wouldn't understand." He tried to explain.
"You're right." Harry nodded thoughtfully, his eyes closed in thought or memory "I wouldn't, I've never had much family to speak of." He confessed "Until I was accepted into the House of Black." He said slowly, almost smiling at Draco's reaction "There is one other path, it is the same path that I now walk." Here held up a purple light, while the other two were like vortexes, this was like fire. "The path of Shadows, in some respects I follow Dumbledore, but I am still loyal to those around me, even those that he would scorn." He explained, his eyes still cast across the lake "Should you wish it Draco, The House of Black, could be there to help."
Draco paused for a moment, before he slowly breathed out "I'd like….I'd like to think this over Potter, it'd be…it'd be a very large step." He said carefully.
Harry nodded "Of course, I'd like an answer at the end of Term." He said firmly, locking eyes once more "Goodbye, Draco." He spoke before turning into a mass of silver smoke and rising over the forest, back towards the castle.
Draco looked at the display crossly, rubbing the back of his head "He made me come all the way out here, because it was easy for him." He frowned, rolling his eyes "Bastard."

"This doesn't interest me at all." He said firmly as he followed McGonagall down the halls of Hogwarts. "As much as I'd like to see Andie, I do have a History Final in fifteen minutes." He glanced at his silver pocket watch, apparently his Grandfather had owned it.
"How long have you been seeing Miss. Delacour, Mr. Potter?" She asked suddenly, her intentions purely curious. Still they walked close towards the Anti-Chamber near the Great Hall.
"I have been her friend since Halloween practically, we became more during Yule." He explained in a rather bored voice, his face curled. "I'd rather not meet her Family like this."
"Like what, Mr. Potter?" She asked, her tone still purely curious, as they stood at a door to the chamber.
Harry locked eyes with her, then rolled his own and moved past her towards the chamber and opened the door without a word. Inside he spotted Cedric talking casually with his parents, he recalled meeting Mr. Diggory during the Quidditch Cup. Viktor was speaking quick Bulgarian with his father, the two men shared noses, but he got most of his features from his mother, who was silently listening.
"Harry!" He heard a high voice, before feeling a weight wrap around his left leg, glancing down he spotted a mess of tangled silver blonde hair. "I've missed you!"
"Hello Gabriel, how are you doing?" He carefully pried her off his form, then he leaned down to her level and smiled at her. The two were quiet for several seconds before they started chuckling and giggling, the young man ruffled her hair. "Still a spitfire I see."
The girl nodded her head, a smile across her features "Of course, Frère?"
Harry ruffled her hair once more at the affectionate word, he still didn't see himself as her older brother but he wasn't going to stop her. He stood up calmly, looking around for Andie or Tonks, neither of whom were there, unsurprising. His eyes locked onto another silver blond in the room, and smiled, he walked towards her and gave her a quick peck on the cheek.
"Arry, this is my Mère. Sophia Delacour." She introduced her boyfriend to her mother rather shyly, she had honestly wanted to keep something this important for much later in the relationship.
Harry did a low bow, then locking eyes with her rather fearlessly "It is a pleasure to meet you, Madam Delacour." He said calmly, still standing calmly at Fleur's side with Gabby now wrapped around his right leg.
The woman was an almost exact copy of Fleur, though her eyes were brown and the cheek bones were a little higher. She smiled softly at the scene "It would appear, Mr. Potter, that you ave snared not one, but both of my beautiful daughters." She spoke in the upmost of formal voices "I must thank you, for your assistance in the second task." She moved her fingers in such a way, almost a come-hither motion and Gabby shot from Harry to her mother, grabbing her in a tight hug.
Harry bowed his head again "The pleasure was all mine, I rather like the spitfire." He confessed, an easy relaxed smile crossing his features. He felt slender fingers wrapping around his own, glancing to his left he saw Fleur giving him a small smirk and a quick wink.
Sophia smiled softly, then frown slowly "I do ave one question for you, Mr. Potter." She spoke softly, her tone in a no-nonsense fashion "Ow will you react when, Fleur, returns to Beauxbatons?" She asked carefully, her words chosen.
Harry stopped, his features twisting into a small grimace, then returning to normal, though his eyes looked rather distant "I would wait until I could graduate, It's only two years." He all but whispered, but the thought of Fleur not near was like a dagger. It wounded him to think about how much he relied on her, she had actually taken to coming with him to some classes on his bad days. She was his life-line, and he just realized it was about to be cut.
Sophia nodded gently, the look in the young man's eyes were much too old for someone of his age. Like he was a man who had been through war, seeing the death of all the men in his unit and continued without a word. "Respectable, Mr. Potter." She spoke softly, and nodding her head again "I approve."
"Harry, please." He said carelessly, almost waving the formalities off "Thank you for your blessings."
Sophia smiled again, as Fleur paled "Oh, you aven't met my Mate yet, it is 'is approval that you need to claim." She said with a wide smile, almost cruel looking "And Fleur is 'is oldest."
Harry didn't pale, or even flinch at that, he'd faced Basilisks, Dragons, Dementors. His brow let a small drop of sweat roll down his face, his eyes distant looking, he had done all of that, and yet here he was, afraid to meet one man.
That man could destroy his whole life. That scared the shit out of him.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome, Welcome! To the Fourth and Final Task of the Tri-Wizard Tournament! As you can see before you, the champions have one final task to brave! The First Task was a test of the Unknown! The Second, of resourcefulness! The Third, of composition! This Final Task shall incorporate all these things!" He explained, moving a move towards the hedge, the very large looking maze. "What dangers lurk behind those overgrown ivy walls!"
Bagman was nothing if not dramatic, Harry had to give him as he dully looked out towards the Maze. It was something that he could finish rather easily if he wanted to, simply using his Smoke Walking, he'd simply fly over the damned thing.
"The Champions shall be entered in the order they have placed! Mr. Potter is still in first, as such he shall be allowed to enter first! Followed five minutes later by the tied Miss. Delacour and Mr. Diggory! Then finally Mr. Krum!" Each of the actual champions got cries of cheers, Harry still got booed. It wasn't all that surprising really, he glanced down at his gear.
He was dressed much like the third and first task. Each champion had jersey's in their colors, though Harry was now wearing almost exclusively black, being he no longer belonged to any house. They all had their goggles from the first task, likely aiming to protect their eyes from the creatures that hide within.
Harry turned towards Fleur, putting his finger on her Lily necklace "If you're in trouble, I'll be there as soon as I can." He said softly, so only she could hear him.
Fleur's eyes hardened a bit, smiling at him "I can protect myself you know." She said rather confidently.
Harry shrugged "I know you can." He confessed, the look of worry still on his face though "I just worry about what might happen, I don't trust Madeye or anyone else, hell Andie and Sirius aren't even here, something big is going on." He almost growled out, his scar had been giving him trouble all morning. Salazar wouldn't shut the hell up either though, almost screaming about the Glory of the Sabbath.
Fleur nodded lightly, but still smiled all the same "Good luck." She gave him a quick peck and then back away from him, as to let him go first.
Harry walked towards the gate that Dumbledore was standing at, the old man stood right next his pupil "How do you feel?" He asked in a simple voice.
"Salazar is in check." He confessed, though it really didn't meet his eyes "Sir, what is the Sabbath?"
Dumbledore looked at that information with distain "I need you to promise me Harry, not to look for trouble in that maze. If anything seems off or you see something strange, I want you to quit." He said in a quick and quiet voice as they waited for the cannon-Boom.
Harry glared at the caretaker, he couldn't have waited another few moments "Of course, wish me luck." With that he turned around and entered the maze, he wasn't even fazed when archway closed behind him. "Sal, what the fuck is the Sabbath?
He could feel the distant piece of his soul shift around, but the voice in his ear surprised him "The Sabbath is a ritual, they normally take place on the solstice." The faintly whispered female voice, he could feel the glowing green eyes behind him. "This is one of the eight magically powerful events, it's also known as Litha." She explained softly in his ear.
Harry nodded, his eyes sharpened as he gazed out at the maze "Then I'm likely to be attack, Voldemort has been buying his time all year." He recalled all the visions that he got over the last year, he began to turn to smoke aiming to finish this quickly. As he rose to the sky, he felt himself hit a barrier and slam back into the ground. He dusted himself off, then glared up at the sky "Damn you Albus." He growled lowly, pulling out his wand and trailing the maze.

Fleur watched as Harry disappeared into the thick Ivy Bushes, the archway that he had used grew over rather quickly with the same vines. She silently looked over to the others, Viktor was calm and alert, he was ready to prove his worth. Cedric was fidgeting, he had to keep moving and Fleur knew that this was his way of coping with anxiety.
"Miss. Delacour." A soft voice called her attention, glancing towards her right, she could see Dumbledore standing there with a frown on his face. "Have you….noticed."
"Oui, Arry is troubled today." She said softly, bowing her head "E is much more paranoid than normal, especially Mad-Eye." She paused for a moment, lost in thought "Eadmaster, why is Andie and Padfoot not here today?"
Dumbledore gave the young woman a confused glance, why would Harry have any issues with Alastor? They seemed to get along rather well. It was the last statement that called his attention, why had the Black Family chosen not attend? Andromeda and Sirius had both been to each event, for them to skip something this important wasn't good.
"Do not worry, Miss. Delacour, I am sure that the Black Family is well and that they send Mr. Potter their silent support." He explained, getting a nod from Fleur in the process "It appears that you are about to enter the Maze, I wish you luck." He gave her a curt bow, before walking over to give parting words to Cedric.
Within a second, a shadow cast over her and she glanced at the tall form of her Head-Mistress. "Ready?" The Half-Giant asked in their birth language. Her figure seemed troubled as well, she kept glancing at the setting sun and rising moon.
"Headmistress, why is everyone troubled today?" Fleur asked quickly, she only had a minute at most.
Madam Maxine looked around before leaning down, whispering "It is Litha, can you feel the Magic in the Air. Fleur?" Her voice was soft but still powerful, she looked silently worried as she continued "Spirits and Creatures grow stronger on this day, ritual's of the ancients, blood magic, become much more Powerful." She explained quickly "Beware of the creatures Fleur, even the simplest Boggart is dangerous on this day."
Fleur found herself nodding, her eyes wide with fear and she cast a look to the maze, not simply for herself but for Harry as well.
Boom, she heard the cannon go off again, slowly she felt her feet move almost against her will, before she hardened her eyes. Then stepped into the Maze confidently, she heard the Ivy rustle behind her, she knew that the archway was now gone. She was alone in a hostile environment, Harry was in here but she didn't have to rely on him, she was powerful in her own right.
She went left at the first fork, looking around, she suddenly leapt to the side as a jaw snapped where she had been but moments ago. As she came up from her roll, she saw a sight that made her blood chill, a Cerberus.
Her mind was sent into overdrive as she thought of a way to stop the beast from attacking her again, she jumped back as the beast's left head snapped. Barking filled her ears, she tried to drown it out with white noise…Noise! She opened her mouth and started to sing simple notes, she could make a Dragon sleep, a Cerberus shouldn't be a problem!

After slapping aside one of Hagrid's Blast Ended Skrewts without much effort and a simple blasting hex. A Boggart that took the shape of Bellatrix, then the shape of Salazar and finally Lily, he wasn't all that humorous about the forms, hopefully no one would ask about the smear on the ground, or the black bits of Boggart in the hedge.
He frowned at the young female figure in front of him, the girl was practically nude, with wild green hair and a smirk on her freckled face. She was standing in a small pool, the water was murky and hazy, she started to make a come-hither motion.
Harry raised a brow, then turned on his heel "Kelpies aren't something I want to mess-" He stopped when he heard a scream. That voice. His blood ran cold and he felt his eyes shift as anger coursed through his veins. He turned to the origin of the scream, the wall of vines in front of him practically exploded in shower of sparks.
His figure glided towards the sound, in a shower of sparks on the figure in front of him. It was Viktor, he was breathing heavily, a slight cut across his right brow caused drops of blood to leak into his eyes, that was glassed over; he was likely cursed.
Harry didn't much care because of the prone figure on the scorched ground, her silver like hair was splayed out like a halo. Her eyes had rolled back, her mouth was lightly hanging open and her breathing was shallow and pained. He saw red, both figuratively and literally, as he moved his hand slashing at the young man before him.
"You Hurt Her!" He snarled, his voice full of pain and anger. He began looking over Fleur, he couldn't see any physical damage other than the small scratches and wounds. "You used Crucio on Her!?" He all but screamed at the Cursed man. He felt another part of him start to take over "Legilimens." Memories passed before his eyes, the conversation with his father.
'Watch out for that Potter boy, he's starting to gain the attention of the British Ministry and the ICU, his erratic behavior has been monitored. If you come in contact with him, do not engage him under any circumstance.'
If Viktor's father warned him not to do battle against Harry, then why would he target Fleur? It was well known how protective of his girlfriend. No, he'd have to dig deeper, something that had happened more recently. He saw the Maze flash before his eyes, Karkaroff didn't show, no words of wisdom but one word circled these thoughts like a buzzard 'Imperio.' Someone had Cursed him, ordered him….what were the Orders?
'Find Delacour and Diggory, Potter must get to the Cup!'
The voice was familiar, but not familiar enough for Viktor's mind to place. Damn this was difficult, it wasn't something he was used to…but he was good at it, had some form of experience with it. Whatever happens next, Cedric couldn't get the cup.
"Ignis!" He shouted towards the sky, he sat down next to her, hugging her close to his, his eyes closed as he tried to calm himself but found it extremely difficult. The runes across his sleeve itched, he could feel magic pumping through them, trying to balance the darkness that was aiming to take over.
The crunching of grass alerted him that someone had come for them, looking up it was the small form of Flitwick. The Half-Goblin looked around in horror, Viktor had an angry slash across his chest and the Professor thought he could see bone, the man was breathing but just barely. "W-What happened?" He asked Harry in a voice full of confusion.
Harry was silent for a moment, before opening his blood red eyes "Someone cursed Viktor….Imperioused him….He attacked Fleur…I think he used the Cruciatous Curse." He explained dully "I….Just take care of them, please Professor."
Flitwick nodded, sending a wide bolt of frantically pulsing red sparks; the signal for immediate help. "Go, they'll be fine Harry, you have a chance to win this!" The man pushed Harry forward lightly "Go on, quickly!"
Harry nodded, his gaze hardened and he kissed Fleur lightly on the check, his figure turned into a mass of smoke. If he couldn't fly over the maze, he'd speed by it as fast as he could, Cedric was likely very near the Cup.
He slipped past another Boggart, an Acromantula, A few Red-Caps and a Sphinx, but as a mass of smoke, they didn't much bother him. The Death Eaters form of travel was extremely useful, but it really only shifted ones mass; the larger the caster, the larger the smoke cloud.
His Smoke Walking ended as he saw Cedric reaching for the Cup, with his free hand he pushed the young man away. "Don't!" He shouted, throwing up a spell as Cedric returned fire.
"You're not taking this victory Harry! I got to the Cup first!" The Hufflepuff shouted.
Harry nodded, clicking his pocket watch open, it was close to 8, he frowned at that, something tickled at the back of his mind but he couldn't find it, it seemed to evade him. "Yes you did, Cedric, Viktor was cursed and he tortured Fleur, he had orders to find you as well." He tried to explain, then leaned away from a rather nasty looking curse, he had wide eyes at the young man; to use such a thing.
"Bullshit!" He shouted, throwing another curse at the Potter Heir.
Harry slapped the curse sideways, a frown clear across his features, why did they want him to take the cup so badly? Was Voldemort waiting for him? Possibly. His head began to hurt. "Cedric, I hate to do this." He said almost casually "Tell Draco, that his Cousin needs to find me."
Without another word, Harry rushed forward, avoiding the spells thrown at him, he vanished with a loud crack, the second his fingers touched the Goblet. Cedric fell to his knee, and screamed, he had been so close, A Hufflepuff victory was unheard of! He was so close to the pride of his House, so close!
The Young man looked over his shoulder at the light being cast towards him, it was a calming Lumos charm. The features of the kindly, and composed Head of Hufflepuff appeared "I saw most of it Cedric, Flitwick found Miss. Delacour and Mr. Krum in pretty bad shape, Minerva and I went out in search of you both, hoping to find who had cursed the pair." She explained, holding a hand out to her student.
"Let's get you back to Hogwarts, dear." She smiled at him, it was pained and forced, he knew that, he had one shot, one, to show everyone that Hufflepuff's weren't the second class house….and he blew it.
With a sullen nod, they vanished with a crack.
XX~XX~XX~XX~XX
A gasp filled the tent, her figure shot forward and a scream pierced the air around her, wide blue eyes looking for the source of her torment but only finding the medical tent. It wasn't empty however, Viktor was in a bed at the corner, currently unconscious and wrapped with thick gauze, his parents looked up at her in alarm.
"Miss. Delacour!" The voice of the Matron Pomfrey filled her ears, she began to slowly calm down her breathing erratic and eyes shifted around quickly. "It's okay, breathe! In and out, that's it dear."
Slowly she could hear the heartbeat in her ears slowly drift away, her breathing leveled out, and her figure relaxed slightly. She took another composed glance around the tent, Gabrielle must have been resting in the bed next to her, her figure was disheveled and she looked in alarm at her sister.
Towards the mouth of the tent, her Mother and Headmistress must have been speaking to each other but now they too looked at her with panic in their eyes. She felt like a failure, people already walked around her like she was made of glass, like some statue to be worshipped but oh so fragile.
"That was completely unnecessary! That girl is just like that Potter boy, vying for attention!" A male voice filled her ears, she cast a look towards her right. Cedric was laying in a bed himself, his right ankle was elevated and wrapped in thick white gauze. She identified the man as Cedric's father, his Mother was looking at him with alarm and shame.
"Mr. Diggory! Miss. Delacour is the victim of the Cruciatus!" Pomfrey informed the man of his error, as she glared at him like a mother hawk "I'll have you tossed out if you so much as make another peep!"
Amos was about to respond with a glare across his features but was cut off by a pained voice "W-What Appened? Where is Arry?" She whispered quickly, wincing in pain as the curse caused her nerves to flinch in phantom pain.
Pomfrey, Cedric and Maxine looked uncomfortable with that line of questions, but Amos had no trouble answering them with a sneer in his voice "Potter hasn't come back yet, he is suspected of cursing Mr. Krum and yourself! He even had the gall to steal the cup from my boy! The Gall!"
"That's it, Out! Out!" Pomfrey had enough, grabbing the man by the ear and leading him towards the entrance right through the panicked forms of the two French women.
"Arry…Arry wouldn't!" She spoke forcefully, the candle next to her practically exploded with power. "E'd never urt me, or anyone else without cause!" She practically screamed, she felt a bundle latch onto her left side, her cheeks started feel damp from the tears that leaked down her face.
"That man was right, Potter cursed my son." A strong accent and voice filled the air, the man was large and imposing, his black eyes and expertly cut dark hair and beard looked menacing in the dark light "I will have retribution for his actions, if it is the last thing I do!"
"Please, Mr. Krum, you need to calm down or I will throw you out as well!"
"Ow long?" Fleur asked shakily.
Cedric answered softly "Harry has been gone for three hours….we're…not sure when he'll…if.." He looked slightly upset about the ordeal, his eyes down cast "I…he saved my life, by taking that Cup didn't he…" He looked confused. "Why would he do that?"
Fleur started to stroke her sisters mane of silver hair, trying to calm both of them "Because that is who 'E is." She whispered, before looking at the tent entrance as it opened. Malfoy walked into silently, towards Cedric and shook his head at the unanswered question. "What?"
"Potter told me to find Malfoy's Cousin." Cedric answered, with a sigh and groan as he shifted his wounded ankle.
Draco nodded, looking around the tent with a frown "I know not how to reach them….Potter is on his own." He explained gently "Owl's will take far too long to reach, and no one is answering my Floo calls."
They stopped when they heard a loud crack and the sound of screaming from outside the tent. "He's back!" They heard a voice laugh "The Dark Lord Voldemort has returned!" The voice sounded angry, before even more screams pierced the air "And it was all your fault!"
Fleur didn't need to think about it, she knew that voice, the voice that haunted her nightmare's "Salazar…." She whispered, eyes wide with fear, she jumped out of the bed, wincing in the pain as her body flashed with the phantom feeling. She pushed past those in her way and out of the tent, there near the entrance of the maze stood an imposing figure, surrounded by glowing red wands.
Harry was covered in blood, some of it looked like his own, his hair was wild and feral looking as did his posture. His left eye glowed powerfully in a red color, a new wound slashed through the eye and his right glowed in a sickly green. His teeth were bared as he snapped the wrist of the man on the grass before him, eyes connecting at the leader of the Aurors, Fudge.
"Arry!" She screamed as ten wizards threw stunners at the insane looking young man. Not a single one reached him as they slammed into a dome around the figures, his smile never fading off his face as he continued to break Moody's casting arm.
"What's one thousand minus nine?"
