As Team Seven, came upon the mahogany doors from the south section of the Kohonagakure no Sato, all four breathed a sigh of relief while Hatake Kakashi took a moment to truly inspect his charge, Naruto Uzumaki who just recently gained a girlfriend from Takigakure no Sato, where they helped defeat Suien before he could get through with his coup against Shibuki. Again, running his left hand through his hair, he couldn't believe that Fu had helped Naruto get decent shinobi clothes, clothes which were sealed into a scroll by Kakashi who handed it to Naruto and explained what they were. When team 7 first saw him, they thought he was an imposter but the attitude Naruto displayed made them relax as Kakashi took in as Naruto was now walking with a spring in his step.
Naruto now wore a dark blue hoodie that was covering his shirt, a camouflage shirt with baggy but firm snow camo pants with his kunai holster and shuriken pouch, the Uzumaki swirl was still in the hoodie as well as Naruto having the Shodaime necklace still attached. Sakura was now explaining to Naruto why tactics were so important, with Naruto just looking nonchalantly with Sasuke rolling his eyes, a wry smirk on his face as Naruto just nearly exploded but keep himself contained as Kakashi clapped gaining all their attention.
"Alright, now my cute little genin, I know you must feel like going home right now, but we must debrief the Kage about both the coup and Naruto's…girlfriend." Here an embarrassed howl was heard from Naruto as Sakura and Sasuke were struggling to hold in their snickers, "Oh, hush you two, since you two were more skilled in tracking and foraging, you two should have been able to find him and help pick out clothes for missions, along with recognizing that hewas missing." Snickers from Sasuke and Sakura stopped as Naruto started to giggle before stopping as they all reached the Hokage tower.
Entering after being called in by the Hokage, Tsunade Senju looked up with a raised eyebrow as she looked over the assembled squad before swiping a vicious tiger looking stare at Hatake Kakashi who just had an eye smile as he started his report "Team 7, reporting completed C-rank turned A-rank Escort mission to Takigakure no Sato. Upon arrival to the village, we meet with two village guards who told Shibuki about an incident occurring within his council, he looked to me for guidance before I swayed him back to his two guards who asked of my help as I told my genin that they could assist with a d-rank cleaning," Here a pointed look from Kakashi was given to both Sasuke and Naruto as they had shocked expressions and sounds of surprise while Sakura giggled with Tsunade raising an eyebrow in amusement while leaning on the desk. "while they were cleaning, Sakura told me an injured lady had appeared next to the kids who were helping Naruto and Sasuke with the cleaning as a kunai was stuck in her back. Sakura treated her, while a couple ninja, at least 13 or 14, bearing a slashed Taki headband appeared." Hatake paused as a shocked look appeared on Tsunade's face as she glanced at the three with concern visible on her face as her honey eyes searched over them. All three rookie's eyes softened before Tsunade let out a sigh of relief, she formerly gestured all four of them to follow her as she led them to a room with a conference table, some relaxing chairs and another ninja waiting for the report as Tsunade dismissed them while she started writing before pausing as Naruto was now sitting upright in his chair with Sasuke slouching as Sakura was now at full attention as Kakashi coughed putting attention on him.
"As I was still dealing with some recon and information gathering, those three engaged the enemy with Sakura and Sasuke easily taken out as Naruto was with Shibuki, correct?" Here, Sasuke scowled while Sakura made a strangled noise and a nod from Naruto who now had an arm lazy slinging on the back of the chair as he started talking about the encounter with some hesitation.
"Yeah, after Sasuke was taken out easily, Shibuki identified 'em easily as all of them were former Taki shinobi under Shibuki's dad's reign, apparently they disappeared after a couple months into Shibuki leading Taki, don't know why though, anyway Shibuki led me to something called the 'Sacred Lake', that's literally what he called it, and got something called 'The Hero's Water', it really amplified his chakra, did of like what I can do Sasuke, and apparently while Shibuki fought Suien, Sakura rescued the kids and elderly that Suien's group took hostage to draw out Shibuki and…Fu, they wanted to use both the Hero's Water and Fu as a means to become the Sixth Powerful Hidden Village, after Sakura freed the people Sasuke and I worked together to take down the remaining nuke-nin as Shibuki lost to Suien, Sasuke and I tag teamed him, we won, stayed a couple days, got new threads, saw a couple of things…andIgotmyselfagirlfriendofthatvillagesopleasedon'tkillmebaa-chan!" Naruto said all this with a calm tone as Tsunade had both her eyebrows now in her hairline as her gaze went into Naruto like lion hunting for food.
"Repeat that last for me, very slowly, you little genin, consider this an order from the Hokage." Naruto's eyes widened at the threat behind it along with the others as Sasuke and Sakura slowly shivered as Hatake took a more formal approach by patting Naruto calmly on the back as Naruto recognized the comfort.
"I…uh…remember that girl, Fu, I told ya about?" Tsunade's nod was a little slow as the snickers from Sasuke doubled while Sakura was now hunched over with giggles "She became my girlfriend…" Tsunade's eyes widened to a good portion as her mouth dropped a little "she's really sweet, got me these new threads, helped me out with my ramen addiction, and I got a girlfriend before Sasuke or Sakura did." Naruto spoke up with a trollish smile at the end while the other two bristled in rage while Kakashi snorted with Tsunade laughing lightly. "Fu has orange eyes and green hair, wears white clothing and is pretty awesome…she's also like me." Here Tsunade and Kakashi had wide eyes as the other two were confused on what Naruto meant by that.
"I see…Naruto keep this information very secretive…especially from Ino. Sakura, Sasuke, make certain that if Ino Yamanka, asks about this direct her more personally to me." Both were stunned that they couldn't tell anyone…let alone tell their comrades.
"W-with all due respect, H-Hokage-sama, w-why can't we tell anyone about Naruto having a girlfriend? I mean, he is the first one to have a girlfriend with…" Sakura trailed off as the look from Tsunade unnerved her greatly as it did to Sasuke, with Tsunade sighing as she activated a pulse from her hand which had the room glow bright and the 沈黙 to appear around the room.
"What I am going to say, is a triple S rank secret, and should you two mutter or even breathe about this, I will kill you myself, am I understood?" Tsunade spoke, no ordered with the tone of a leader with the threat loud and clear that all of Team 7 was struggling to breathe, as if they were facing twelve of Zabuza again, along with thirteen of Orochimaru again. "This secret is about Naruto…no doubt he hasn't told you or any other member of the Rookie Nine due to his fear of being rejected and deemed…dangerous by you and your peers." Tsunade paused as Naruto was now wide eyed as was Kakashi if she was revealing this… "Naruto was from a very influential military/shinobi family whose enemies are still active. I don't have to spell it out for you what would happen if anyone knew about this. The Uzumaki were known for long longevity, increased healing factor and advanced in Fuinjutsu or the Art of Sealing, Naruto's mother whom I know from my time, Kushina Uzumaki, and she was badass. She was easily the most skilled in Ninjutsu with using her own Whirlpool Water Style, Kenjutsu and even Fuinjutsu," Tsunade paused as Naruto now had a depressed cloud over his head as Sasuke just patted his shoulder awkwardly while Kakashi coughed to get Tsunade back on track "I still don't trust or respect the current legal side of civilian politics and have a couple plans to derail and get them out…I'm sorry to say this, Sakura Haruno, but your own mother is someone who is very against Naruto and my rule concerning him. Oh right, Kushina was actually very good friends with your very own mother Sasuke, Mikoto!"
A wide-eyed look was from all three as Naruto shakily spoke up for all three "H-hokage-sama, may we be excused? W-we would like to rest for a bit and go over the information you've given us…give us l-like two weeks please…" A respectful and understanding nod was given to all three as three clones of Kakashi took all three out as the two adults in the room just sighed as they stared at each with concern from Tsunade, and respect from Kakashi at Tsunade.
"Did I make the right call with telling Naruto earlier about his mother, Kakashi? I know Sensei wanted us to want until Naruto was Chunnin, but thanks to those damn civilian bastards they have so much damn control…I need you and the shinobi council help…did I make the right call to tell them about her?" Here Kakashi had a worried but thoughtful look as they both stood on the balcony looking out over the village as Kakashi calmly and collectively spoke up to the Hokage.
"I think and believe that you made the most important decisions, right now, Naruto has absolutely no knowledge whatsoever about both the Uzumaki clan and Kushina herself, right now we-you and I-should focus on cleaning Konoha, even if it means making a deal with the devil, no pun intended." Here Tsunade giggled as she nodded at Kakashi indirectly, who without any discretion launched himself at an unseen shadow with a Raikikiri, killing a masked shinobi with a kanji on it. "Danzo is still trying to have information about everyone, he has really changed." Kakashi finished with a shake of his head as Tsunade dismissed him yet he trotted after his charges before making his presence known.
Sasuke was the first to recover after Hatake appeared behind him and his two…allies before speaking up "Now that the Hokage has mentioned it, I do remember my kaa-san stating that there was only one other swordswoman in Konoha who could beat her…it might be in her journal, no promises but I'll look." Naruto looked at him in shock before backing away and into Kakashi's shadow as Kakashi raised his arm while Naruto poked his head out from underneath the arm.
"Who are you, and what have you done to the douchebag Uchiha we all know and love? The Uchiha Sasuke I know is a brooding bastard." It was said so innocently that Sasuke, now wearing a shocked and flabbergasted expression, missed his step on a wooden pier dock and fell into the water as Sakura tried to delay her giggles, only for her to fall over in mirth, as three other shop keepers were hollering with laughter while Kakashi outright laughed before rustling Naruto's hair.
After a punch to the shoulder and drying off, Kakashi clasped his hands together and decided to attract the attention of his three charges as he handed a scroll to both Sakura and Naruto, who put them into one of their pouches after Kakashi spoke up "Now, that we've gotten that out of our system, I'll give some conditioning to you guys, just basic stuff for your two, while Naruto has the advanced just based on stamina, you'll be joining as well Sakura, to not only pace yourself but catch yourself up in terms of stamina. Naruto, the scroll I gave you is instructions for a balanced nutritional diet, these orders come from Tsunade herself, kiddo, follow them and you will improve. Sakura, the scroll you have with you is medical training and tips from Tsunade-sama along with Shizune-sempai, you're going to be the squad's medic, so brush up on all of the techniques in there…Sasuke, apparently Hokage-sama has asked you to go towards Inochi-san, Ino's dad, what for I have no idea." Kakashi's shrug was all the confirmation Sasuke needed as he walked on before Naruto looked at his back, having a weird thought in his mind, making wide eyes as he collapsed to the marble street of the merchant's quarter making Sakura and Kakashi look at him in concern before Sakura stood him up as Naruto laughed away tears of mirth.
"He looks like a duck from the backside! AHAHAHAAHA!" Naruto collapsed as every else took a good look before they collapsed in laughter as the quarter was filled with laughter, as Kakashi got everyone on their feet, he walked Sakura home as Naruto ventured into his own sector alone. Naruto was used to walking into the slums as he spotted the occasional drunk before hearing "Fought in all 'ree wars, I did! I tells ya, its true! Caught some damn Kumo Nins, and got three of em!" Naruto just shook his head as he saw a couple ANBU near his building making him curious, as he approached one of them noticed him, wearing a Taka (Hawk) mask and spoke up in a calm voice "Naruto-san, Hokage-sama is adjusting the building and has asked us to take you to the Gold Leaf hotel for a week, after renovations are done, you will be given ownership of the whole building." Naruto's eyebrows went skyline as he realized that he would own a whole building to himself, as he allowed himself to be placed in a certain room, as Naruto entered it the Taka ANBU left, making him take the room in stock.
The room was better stocked and more equipped then his crappy rundown apartment, as not only was there a half closet next to the bed, that was a king-sized bed, along with a fully furnished bathroom, and a good view of the Hokage Monument, the color of the room was painted green and black in tribute to the village colors, as Naruto sat on the bed thinking about what he was lacking in as he remembered a conversation he and Fuu had while in Taki…
XXX Flashback XXX
"Ne, Naruto-kun, what's your best aspect and skilled area in Ninja life?" Naruto just looked at Fu with a raised eyebrow as she continued on with her question, "I'm skilled in camouflage thanks to number 7 here, I've also learnt really nifty Sution (Water Style) jutsu, nearly 6 or 7, and I'm adept in Taijutsu namely The Crazy Bug from my bijuu. So, again, what's your best aspect?" Naruto just dropped his head in shame as Fu was now concerned and scared. Did she angry her new friend and lover? Did she make a bad call?
"I don't have an aspect I'm skilled in, nobody trained me at all, I've only learnt two jutsu, the 影分身(Kage Bushin) and the 螺旋丸(Rasengan),that's all that I've learned, so I'll probably talk to my sensei or something."
"I'd say your more useful in Taijutsu and Ninjutsu, then Genjutsu but that's just me, now that we have that out of the way…let's go for RAMEN!" Fu said as she took off while Naruto followed her laughing jovially. However, thanks to her, Naruto now knew that he needed to improve, as they enjoyed each other's company and stayed in Taki a little while longer, Naruto took a look back at all the battles he fought in and realized that if he wanted to be Hokage, he needed to learn and change one step at a time.
XXX End Flashback XXX
"Hey, if one of you ANBU guys are still in the room, could you ask Hokage-sama to give me a license to get inside the library or something? Please, and thank you." Naruto turned off the lights after hearing someone vanish, before he laid down on the bed, closed his eyes and dreamed of one of his other favorite foods…dango, that Fu had introduced him to.
XXXX Wednesday July 6th, 1547, Nippon Year of Meiji Era XXXX
As Naruto was walking towards the library, he noticed a couple of ANBU detaining the really mean old lady who was vicious towards him and denied him entry into the library, along with stealing any scrolls that the Sandaime Hokage had given him. One ANBU broke off from the eight that was moving the lady, and dropped six scrolls into his hands and escorted him to a table inside after showing a library id to the new manager who was much kinder towards him.
Naruto decided to open the first scroll that was given to him from the Sandaime, and noticed that it was for techniques to use with Kage Bushin. The Kage Bushin while intensively chakra draining, has extreme benefits for the user. The clones will retain any memories they experience such as reading a part of history, or a kata of a Taijutsu style. The clones while numerous should be dispelled in small groups due to the harmful effect of memory feedback, and overload of information. Clones should only be kept around 10-25 if it's the first time for a Jounin, along with starting in throwing kunai and shuriken.
Naruto felt like slamming his head on the desk after reading that first part of the Effects of Kage Bushin, 'No wonder, I'd faint after having so many clones and stuff! If I did it in groups, I could stay conscious and help!', a couple of other stray thoughts entered his mind as having some learn history, along with practicing throwing while also going to Iruka to seek advice for now, for what he should learn.
Naruto rolled up and put the first scroll in one of his pouches on his new jacket, as the second scroll said 'Uzumaki Taijutsu', making him have bug eyes as he rolled out the scroll very carefully while making a clone and having the clone continue reading effects of kage bushin, but before he began reading the scroll there was a little note from the Sandaime Hokage stating that if he was reading this, he, Hiruzen Sarutobi, was likely dead and asked Naruto to carry on with the will of fire, and show everyone the spirit of the last Uzumaki. The Uzumaki Clan was a very skilled clan in effects of having a fighting style solely focused on the Shadow Clone technique. Calling the style Uzukage Ken or Boss Uzumaki Fist, they used the Kage Bushin to distract and confuse the opponent while searching for an opening, then engaging with heavy hits. It's quite difficult to practice, so if you do use it make certain to practice it in supervision of a Jounin or an ANBU.
Naruto looked at the kata's for the beginner stance and saw that while it was weird, it did look to be his style, as it combined fast paced hits along with hit and run mostly his style, as he nodded at that before making another clone and having it read what the workout requirements were, as Naruto finally got on the scroll about the Nutritional plan Tsunade had sent him….WHAT!? No ramen for the next three weeks!? Why!? As Naruto calmed down from his inner rage, he read it over that eating too much ramen…made the person short along with malnutrition and less developed body muscle, as Naruto hung his head, he felt a pat on his shoulder nearly making him jump as he looked up to see a small smile from the renowned super pervert, "Ero-sennin!" leaping up and giving the man a hug, Jiraiya's shoulder shook with a light laugh as they both sat down at the table as Jiraiya looked closer at Naruto seeing a little difference than the kid he took to find Tsunade.
"So, just had a chat with Tsunade-hime, you run into trouble in Taki? On a C-rank mission?" Jiraiya's voice went from normal to concerned in an instant as Naruto described in a little bit more detail about what truly happened nearly having Jiraiya's jaw drop as he shook his head at the antics Naruto got himself involved with, as he searched over the scrolls that Naruto had before noticing one clone reading the Uzukage Ken.
"Okay, so tell me this again, why are you just looking over this scroll?"
"Dammit, Ero-sennin, I've told you this five times! The previous women who managed this place stole them and had them hidden here, when she was going to probably give them to Sasuke, and this is the first time I've been here!" Naruto didn't notice Jiraiya's rictus of rage but he felt something bad approach, as he noticed it was Kakashi who motioned Jiraiya away as Naruto returned his attention to the scrolls before his first clone bitch slapped him with a scroll making the original glare at him.
"Boss, we found out that someone named Kushina Uzumaki was the last user of the Uzukage Ken, and get this boss, she was a registered Uzugakure no Sato clan leader, of the Uzumaki clan and a Konoha ANBU." Eyes wide with anticipation, Naruto swiftly dispelled that clone and learned everything that it had read from the Uzukage no Ken scroll, apparently, she was around before and during the Kyuubi attack…but after that any mention of her was exhumed from the scroll as he looked around to find out any reasoning to this at all.
Naruto missed the angry argument ranging from what Kakashi was trying to tell Jiraiya as the Toad Sage was now viciously tearing Hatake a new one, mismanagement and favoritism of one student over the others, specialized training and not to mention nearly starting the Uchiha brat on elemental training. "What the hell!? I mean, good sweet fucking Kami above, Hatake, what the fuck are you smoking?! Teaching that brat elemental learnings and nearly starting him on that advanced version of the Interceptor Style while abandoning your other two students!? Who the hell are you?!" That final statement made Kakashi lose his grip on the book along with a wide horrified eye as Jiraiya stared at him hard and like a tiger who was killing you very slowly.
Jiraiya just stared viciously at the Lone Wolf who walked away slowly and regrettably as the Toad Sage just walked back to Naruto who was now studying the Uzukage Ken intensely as Jiraiya peered at the entry and sighed as he spoke up to Naruto "So, found the entry about Kushina-chan, huh? She was one hell of a women when she was still alive and I regret not being able to get anything she owned into my possession…but I'll find out if the stuff she owned is still around." Naruto looked up with hope, shock and curiosity…how did Jiraiya know Kushina Uzumaki?
"Can…can you tell me a little bit about her?" Jiraiya's face now had a melancholy look and a sad smile on his face as he sat down and while also helping Naruto making a proper nutrition diet, gave some pointers along with a small story about Kushina involving a plant in Kusa.
"So, she thought it was food, but it was actually a hallucinogenic plant? That must have been funny as hell…what happened after she ate it?" Jiraiya's answer was priceless to Naruto as he told him, while everyone was now taking wary glances to Naruto who had to wait at least 3 whole minutes to regain his breath. Naruto and Jiraiya both exchanged some small stories, with them both exiting the library and heading to Yakinaku Barbeque Shop, as they laughed at some of the pranks Naruto told as he said that his building was under renovation from Tsunade giving him the whole building making Jiraiya have bug eyes before he decided to give Naruto something to learn to protect the building.
"Alright, kiddo, seeing as how you might be out of the village for missions or some other kind of mishaps, given your reputation, I'm having you learn, calligraphy, penmanship, and one other aspects." Naruto's face started out with joy before it morphed into one of exasperation, that made Jiraiya laugh as he ruffled Naruto's hair before moving on. "Don't be like that, this skill absolutely needs those two things to make it function, this skill is called Fuinjutsu, one thing the Yondaime Hokage was a complete pro at." Naruto's face now held interest as Jiraiya and him started off with small talks that led into night conversations before Jiraiya went off to do some more information gathering while Naruto was given a small scroll to practice Fuinjutsu from.
XXXX With Sasuke Uchiha XXXX
Pissed, angry and mad, these were the only emotions running through the Uchiha's mind as he made his way back to his clan's compound at the…audacity that was displayed to him by both that bitch and that worthless mind reader…how dare they say he was unstable! He was an Uchiha! It didn't matter what he was, either physically or mentally fit, he was dead set on his goals and nothing would get in his ways!
XXXX With Sakura Haruno and Ino Yamanaka XXXX
Both girls weren't saying anything to each other after hearing the mental evaluation about Sasuke Uchiha and Naruto Uzumaki, they both were afflicted differently after being detained by both the Godaime Hokage along with Inoichi Yamanaka, and told the story about what would happen to the boys, Sakura just looked down in shameful thought and had an inner war with herself…Ino was having the same conflict as they couldn't believe that the boy they liked…was that broken and unhinged…Ino looked at Sakura before deciding on an action that should raise their spirits a little bit "Hey, Sakura-chan, want to see if Hinata or Tenten, want to hang out and just have a girls night out? It'll be like the old days, just us, food and binge watching some shows…what do you think?" Sakura just nodded wordlessly as Ino led her to the Haruno family house, seeing Sakura's mom, Mebuki just do some light gardening as she noticed the two girls, while having her smile dwindle as she noticed how downtrodden both girls were.
"Sakura-chan, Ino-chan, what's wrong dears? Did something happen on a mission or did someone do something to you?" One ANBU who had been trailing them suddenly appeared a couple feet away with a scroll for the older Haruno, as she took it the ANBU vanished as Ino asked to be let inside so they could explain what they heard and why they were so paranoid.
XXXX Saturday, June 3rd, 1573 XXXX
At the normal bridge that served for Team 7, whether it be for an update or mission, the team was a bit…off due to what happened yesterday with Naruto not knowing anything now appearing in a white undershirt, covered by a blue and black stripped hoodie, along with green camouflage pants, and reading a beginner scroll on Fuinjutsu. Naruto looked to the right and noticed that Sakura was watching Sasuke closely and a bit of anger was in Sasuke's eyes as Naruto perked up and looked at a tree to his right before throwing a kunai with a flashbang at it. Sakura and Sasuke were about to retort and reprimand Naruto before a couple of figures dropped down covered in black hoodie's that literally covered every aspect about them as they charged at different members of Team 7 who all reacted in their own ways to defeat the assailants.
Naruto started out in a reverse Southpaw stance, with his right foot in a bended stance as his right hand was twisted upside down while his left hand was outstretched into an open palm, as the one who attacked him was like Bushy Brows, really strong and fast, Sakura was in a genjutsu battle with another while the third…had calmly and soundly knocked out Sasuke not even a minute into the fight making a visible sweat drop on the back of their head while muttering…"Dumbass duckass…" Naruto just shook his head as he resumed his fight with the hooded figure landed an open palm strike and a reverse elbow to the jaw as Sakura landed a mule kick to the abdomen as all three hooded figures retreated as Kakashi came into view with Sasuke still knocked out over his shoulder.
However, that led to Naruto nearly lowering his guard as the hooded figure nearly cleaned him with a Dempsey roll, as Sakura was sent back to the lake rubbing her left arm while the one fighting her lowered their leg from the kick, before Naruto flicked loose a certain kunai with a seal on it that read Paint, making them pause as bright explosion of color took their vision as Naruto flipped forward and landed a downward kick on the head of his opponents, while Sakura landed a haymaker from her left and a donkey kick to the abdomen, as the two regrouped Kakashi patted them on the shoulders and they left with him applauding the two conscious members of Team 7.
"Nice job, Naruto, Sakura, you passed the test." A confused expression came over both the aforementioned faces as Kakashi tied up Sasuke to the training post with a special wire that the two didn't know, even with Sakura's intensive knowledge about the tools, Kakashi motioned the two over to him as he continued after tying up Sasuke to the post "Hokage-sama, ordered an evaluation for the team, after both an intensive interview of my reflections, training methods, and…favoritism, the Shinobi Council, has ordered me to give both three months of individual training to both of you…along with apologizing for my actions and my reasoning." Naruto had a raised eyebrow while Sakura tilted her head as Kakashi gestured to two levels down on the memorial stone, Rin Nohana, who was…Kakashi spoke up before they could ask.
"Rin was on my squad during the San Shinobi Jidai, she was very optimistic, outgoing, cheerful, and was…one of the first women to capture my heart…we were heading back after losing another member of our squad while our mentor was elsewhere holding off Iwagakure no Sato ninja, a full battalion to be honest…anyway, while we were on our way back…Mizugakure no Sato ANBU corps ambushed both her and me…they had a sealer on the level of Jiraiya with them…and turned her into a pseudo jinchuuriki…" Gasps came from Naruto and Sakura as tears welled up in Sakura's emerald eyes while the ocean orbs of Naruto looked at Kakashi in remorse, as Kakashi took a tired sigh as he tried to keep his emotions in check as the memories swelled up to him, "We were trying to get to our mentor and sensei…we couldn't make it in time…the seal was becoming unstable…" Kakashi took a shuddering pause as he delived the words that killed off any heartbeat or response to his two conscious and nearly waking the Uchiha "I was asked by Rin to kill her and I did kill her." Naruto looked completely heartbroken and shocked while Sakura looked green and lost her stance as she was now on the ground as Kakashi looked at the two in sorrow and solace.
"The reason why I'm telling you this, is because this squad which consists of you three reminded me of my previous squad. I refuse to let the fate of that team become like this one." Here a pointed glare was given at Sasuke, from Kakashi, who upon seeing the glare look stunned as Kakashi turned an eye smile to Sakura and Naruto as two clones were given to them as Kakashi brought up Sasuke while the clones moved away into training field 7.
XXXX Kakashi Clone 1 with Sakura XXX
"So…Hokage-sama told me you heard about Sasuke's mental capacity? While I'm upset that you listened in a confidential matter, it also fills me up with pride, that you have taken the initiative to defend yourself…speaking of which, how far have you gotten in learning Genjutsu?" Kakashi beamed with pride as Sakura flushed red before telling that she had not only learned Demonic Hell Illusion, but False Surroundings, Negative Hearing, and was amazed that she was inventing one of her own she called Inverted Reality in which the user's sense of gravity was changed and they could only sense what was coming from behind instead of in front of them.
"That is amazing Sakura-chan! Kurenai Yuhi would be a great person for you to meet," Seeing the confused expression on her face Kakashi expanded on his sentence, "Do you remember Hinata's teacher, the women with bandages and ruby eyes? That's Kurenai Yuhi, The Genjutsu Mistress of the Leaf, an expert in all genjutsu arts. I'll try to pass along the message about you creating your own genjutsu…however let's get you started on some Taijutsu." Sakura groaned but nodded as Kakashi taught her a style called Hike Taka (Fire Hawk), that focused on small but precise strikes on nerves, bones, and joints.
XXXX Kakashi Clone 2 with Naruto XXX
"So, again I apologize for prioritizing Sasuke…but he just reminded me of the path I was taking when I was his age, however that's irrelevant right now. I got word from Hokage-sama that Jiraiya lent you a book on beginner Fuinjutsu? If so, then have a clone practice brush strokes and another read some books on the beginner fuin." Here a confused look was sent as Kakashi raised an eyebrow before lightly bonking himself with his patented Icha Icha book present as he explained "Sorry, I should've had a personal explanation to you about what Kage Bushin is capable of. When a person creates a Kage Bushin, and have it read a book, practice a kata stance, or write something down and look at it, the original or 'boss' is able to clearly remember it and extend on it from there." A stunned look soon turned into a predatory glance as a trio of clones took the scroll and started learning from it, as another trio started on the kata for the Uzukage Ken, with the main Naruto turning to face Kakashi as a nod in acceptance was given before Kakashi spoke up again.
"Good choice in only using three clones, the more clones you make the more mental feedback and negative chakra you receive when you dispel them after learning could be problematic." A question mark was visible above Naruto's head as Kakashi let out a sigh bubble before having a couple of clones transform into what looked like anime style descriptions. "When a Jounin or ANBU make a Kage Bushin they have a part of their mind go with them, in a nonliteral sense, when a clone dispels it creates feedback from what it learned and causes a pause in the user mind, however if a bunch of clones are created…" The anime drawing showed a clone dispelling and the user stopping for a second before seven more clones were made as the creator was now hunched over and holding their brain in pain while another ANBU was now comforting him. "The negative chakra part is when you are low on chakra before trying out another move and then either fainting or going into a coma for a week or two." The scenes now showed an ANBU fainting with the other ANBU acting scared before slinging him over their backs and returning to a hospital where it showed a two-week time lapse.
That description and scenes made Naruto have raised eyebrows in realization as one of his clones bonked him on the head before dispelling as he now grinned looking at Sasuke who was tied up before chuckling as Kakashi paused and looked on in concern at Naruto "Kouhai? What are you…what do you think…what did you learn from that sealing book?" (A/N: Anyone know what game this line is from? Get a cookie if you guess it right! ;8) Naruto leaned into Kakashi's ear and whispered what he had learned before a horrified look took over Kakashi's features. Kakashi discreetly sent a Kage Bushin to the village with a horrified look on his face as the clone cried out "Jiraiya-san! Tatsukeite!" The Toad Sage looked up in wonder as to why Kakashi was crying out for him and met him halfway at the marketplace.
Kakashi's clone looked at Jiraiya in concern as he (Jiraiya) raised an eyebrow "Sir, I think we've made a grave mistake in teaching Naruto Fuinjutsu." This time both eyebrows reached the hairline as the clone continued "We've given seals and scrolls to Naruto, sir." A confused look now took over Jiraiya's face as the clone retracted his previous statement "Really, Naruto? The kid who outran over Konoha ANBU and Jounin after painting the Hokage Monument in broad daylight? The kid who dyed the Hyuuga underwear pink yet no one could prove it? The kid who slipped sugar into every kid's lunch in kindergarten at the orphanage?" This time Jiraiya's eyes were positively bulging out of his head while the Kakashi clone dispersed as Jiraiya decided to check and see if Naruto's apartment was fixed cuz after all, Tsunade had said it would only take a week, thanks to that Tazuna guy.
As the day training came to an end after doing some river cleaning with Naruto teaching both Sasuke and Sakura where fish was which prompted the other two to talk to him. "When I was young, money was tight, so I taught myself to fish and learn what was healthy and what was not. The jordani, right next to Sasuke is pretty good with strawberries and cooked over a fire, while the fish next to Sakura, the blue stripe snapper is really good with tomatoes and lemon." A couple recipes were exchanged between the trio, as Kakashi clapped and dismissed them while telling Naruto that his apartment building would be completed tomorrow.
Sasuke looked at Naruto with a raised eyebrow as Sakura stood gaping with an open mouth as they both voiced in suspicion and concern "You own an apartment building?" The only response was a shrug and an answer of him being the only one on the top two floors.
All three left Jiraiya intercepted Naruto, though Kakashi walked Sasuke to his appointment, Sakura looked torn between following them as she looked at the bookstore and noticed some books for sale, Apprentice Medic & Healing Chakra Basics, Sakura knew the bookstore since she was a kid as she called out "Konichiwa, Naio-san!" The old woman manning the counter smiled as she looked at someone she hadn't seen in a while.
"Ohaiyo, Sakura-chan! Haven't seen you in a while, how are you doing?" Sakura smiled lightly as she loved the old bookstore smell and seeing Naio-san made her day better, as she sat down with Naio-san getting a cup of tea for her as they talked for a bit about what each other was doing nowadays.
"So, how are things going on in your team, anything exciting happen lately? The boys causing trouble, particularly that Naruto boy…" Naio trailed off as Sakura shot a dark look at her making Naio's eyebrows raise in shock, before Sakura responded in a tight voice.
"Please don't insult Naruto-san like that Naio-san, he has saved my life multiple times during my career as a shinobi and I'm thankful to him towards it and I won't have someone narrow minded like you insult him and I feel as if I've overstayed my welcome at this establishment, have a nice day, Naio-san." Naio's jaw and the others dropped in shock as they heard the most bitter and hated tone be directed at them just for sullying Naruto's name however that wasn't what drew their attention it was a Black ANBU with a wolf mask who entered the shop as it was covered in darkness…then disappeared completely with a section missing on the inside shop as everyone else in it was gone except…for a small path of blood that was taken in by the darkness.
Sakura trudged on home as she called out she was home to her parents, as Naruto yawned while still getting that weird dog hat thing on his head, while Sasuke gave his parents portraits one last solemn look as they all turned in to sleep as the same Black Wolf ANBU was standing outside all three locations before slipping back into a portal of pure darkness.
Hatake Kakashi lowered his headband along with his kunai and the others on standby as a voice asked "Sempai, what should we do now? Should we pursue or increase security on these three…" The Hidden ANBU looked at Kakashi who shook his head before putting his hand to a radio and calling in to the other squads, report to the meeting point and prepare for a debrief.
Kakashi then ran a hand through his hair before going to the Hokage Tower, seeing that Tsunade was doing…some paperwork!? Was he reading the wrong Icha Icha today or something!? Tsunade caught his interested gaze as she responded that she was just looking for a reason to disband a civilian council and asked why he was here in which he explained to her.
Tsunade kept a poker face throughout the whole account as she was thinking heavily 'Why would he show up again…is he trying to plan something with that team of three…he knows what happened to the last squad that went through that…I'll think more after I have a drink or two...' Tsunade dismissed Hatake after hearing the report and sustained with the paperwork along with the thoughts of that man…why did it remind her so much of her second Sensei?
As Tsunade finished her paperwork, the cloaked figure looked out over Konoha with a melancholy smile as he imagined two others standing at his side and missed them greatly while sighing as he took out…tri pronged kunai 'Minato…my brother…Kushina…my sister…forgive me for not protecting you two…' The thoughts of the person went further down memory lane as they flickered into a black portal that led to a simple cottage on the edge of town as they ventured around the outside of it, more memories popped up inside their head…some good, some bad, but all important to the person as they recognized what the two had done to help each other and himself…
'When should I reveal myself…? I've been away for far too long…' Thoughts such as this plagued the person's mind as they ventured into yet a dark portal again before it closed just as Hatake Kakashi arrived at the cottage…recognizing the chakra signature of the person before dismissing it as just some lingering remnant as undead memories came up to the surface.
