CHAPTER 96
Sei was sitting on the sofa with his legs crossed and watching the tennis game on the screen. Keigo meanwhile had taken to pacing back and forth from the kitchen to the lounge. It was after the eighth time of entering and leaving the lounge did Sei have enough. "Kei, here." He pointed to the empty space besides him.
"Are you ordering Ore-Sama around?" Keigo raise one eyebrow in question as he stood tall with folded arms.
"Yes, sit. Right here, next to me." The king shuffled across the floor slowly sitting down. Without a second, Sei put his arm over his shoulder and pulled him so he was leaning on the blunette. Keigo looked at him with caution. "What?"
"I always have this feeling in my stomach when you..." He didn't get to finish as Sei cut him off.
"You have wind. If it's constant you might want to see a doctor, he could give you something to help." Keigo went red as the blunette grinned at him finding it fun to annoy the Hyotei captain.
"That's not what I meant. I meant I get this feeling with either you or Syu like your planning something." He huffed and turned his head the other way, but not getting out of the position he was in with Sei. The blunette leaned in so his mouth was next to the others ear.
"Are you finished having your little tantrum?" The king snapped his head towards the other and glared. "Good." With that Sei pressed his lips against Kei's.
Momo lead Syu, Mitsu and Gen to his room where they saw Ryoma laying on his stomach with his head resting on the 10 year old boy's lap. Momo's little sister was now sitting to the side watching the cat.
"Takashi," The trickster looked to her to show he was listening. "Can we keep him? Beauty can stay with us right?"
Beau... Ah, damn it. I mean Ryoma needs to go home. He has his own family. See." He pointed to the three who were standing next to him.
"But..." She started to tear up. "I want him." She went over to Mitsu seeing as he was to closest to her brother and shouted at the top of her lungs. "You can't take Beauty he's my kitty." As she was about to carry on she got interrupted by the 10 year old.
"Beauty. Are you alright?" Ryoma had sat up and was looking at the girl with eyes full with panic and pain. With this she went and stood near the bed.
"Beauty, you're our pet now." As Ryoma was about to agree knowing he couldn't let her cry and scream anymore more, when Momo finally lost his temper.
"Yumi." He spoke in a stern voice. "Ryoma is not a pet. He is human. You do not treat others like that." The girl huffed and glared at her brother.
"If Beauty is human why has he got ears and a tail?" She pointed to the cat. "He is not human and will never be one, he is my pet cat." As he was about to shout back at her they all were shocked to see Ryoma go to the girl and kneel in front of her.
"I was human once. I don't remember it, but I was." He gave he a small smile while she sniffed calming down from the little upset. It was then she flung he arms round his shoulders.
"But you can be part of our family." She said as she rested her head on his shoulder. As Ryoma was about to say something Fuji cut him off.
"Saa... Ryo-Chan already has a family." He watched as Yumi's arms tightened round Ryoma's neck, giving a silent message that she wouldn't give up easily. It was then they all took notice that the cat was hugging back. "Ryo, you can't stay here. Please come home."
"She's only six. I need to look after her." The girl stuck her tongue out at the tensai. "Need to keep her safe."
"Ryoma, come here." The cat moved his head slightly and stared at Mitsu not fully trusting him. "Come here for a second. I'm not going to do anything." Slowly Ryoma removed his arms from round the girl in which she did the same. Taking small steps to the Seigaku captain he stood in front of him with tense shoulders and a straight back. In less than a second the boy found himself upside down.
"Put me down. I need to protect her." He punch Mitsu's back and moved trying to get the other to realise him. "I need to make sure they won't get her." With that he brought his knee to Mitsu stomach with earned him a grunt. "Please, I don't want her to die." After Ryoma calmed down as the captain stroked the back of his legs hoping to give some comfort to the boy, now that the said legs had stopped trying to hit him in the stomach.
"We better go home. I don't know if I can handle any more Ryoma drama for one day. Momo, thank you." Kunimitsu nodded his head before giving a quick glance at the girl who was almost in tears again.
"Me and Mitsu will see you tomorrow at practice Momo. See ya." With that the four left the house as Momo tried to get his little sister to calm down.
It was still pelting it down with rain as they left. Gen was pulling his coat up to try and stay warm, while Syu had stood slightly behind him using him as a barricade from the weather. As they walk for 5 minutes Ryoma who was still on Mitsu shoulder spoke.
"Cold..." All three paused. Ryoma gripped tighter onto the back of Mitsu's coat and shivered. Letting of a sigh the Seigaku captain bent down and placed the boy on the ground. It was now that he really took in the boy's appearance.
He was a mess and what made it worse was the fact that he had crossed his arms and was using his hand to rub against the skin to try warm himself up. Mitsu let go of Ryoma completely and undid his coat taking it off and swinging it round the boy's shoulders. "Put your arms though the sleeves." He did as he was told and watched as Mitsu zipped it up. "Arm round my neck and legs round my waist." He heard Syu chuckle slightly at what he had just said. But to the trio's surprise Ryoma did just that and hung on. "Something happen you want to talk about?" The cat didn't answer and just hummed softly and he rested his head near Mitsu's ear.
Mitsu dropped the subject knowing that if he carried on Ryoma would close up and push him away. For now he was just happy that the boy was acting like he was before he found out from Keigo that Mitsu loved him.
Both Sei and Kei were left speechless as they stared at the 18, 12 inch pizza boxers that had been piled on top of each other on the table in the lounge.
"I think you and Syu went over bored with the delivery." Sei sweat dropped as he looked to Kei with a grinned as he rubbed the back of his head.
"You think? We kind of just told them to get every pizza on the menu that contained meat." That was when they heard the front door open and Sei went to go meet his other lover, looking at their appearances he smiled at all of them. "You all look like drowned rats." Syu smiled back and spread out his arms.
"Sei give me a hug." Gen laughed though his nose at them before taking his coat off. "So we got the pizzas." Syu said as he looked into the lounge.
Mitsu put Ryoma on the floor and took off the coat the boy was wearing, hanging it on the hanger near the door. "Come on. Let's run you a bath and warm you up." He held out his hand and Ryoma hesitated for a second before grabbing it and letting the other lead him upstairs. As soon as they stepped into the bathroom, Mitsu let go of his hand and started to run the water. "I'll go grab some clothes and you need to get out of those wet ones." Coming back in less than a minute, he saw the cat was already in the tub. He went over turning the water off. "I'm going to have a shower, so please don't turn the taps back on." He watch as Ryoma's lips twitch, Mitsu could only guess he was remembering the time he had flooded his house in America.
Mitsu went over to the shower, which was in the corner of the room and turn it on waiting for the water to get hot. When the temperature got right he stripped until he was only in his underwear that was when the boy turned to asked something only to freeze. He gulped as he watched the captain take off his boxers. He just stared as Mitsu bent over to throw them into the laundry basket and stepping into the shower. Ryoma was happy that the captain didn't look back at him. His face was now bright red and he didn't know why. He had seen lots of people naked, but what he wanted to know was why seeing Mitsu like that was giving his tummy a funny feeling.
