CHAPTER 110
As Syu had left, Ryoma was just staring at the wall in front of him, not believing that he was just about to kiss Fuji willingly.
While the tensai as soon as he had left the room he had gone back downstairs, but instead of joining the others he went to the kitchen and opened the back door. Out in bare feet the made his way to the temple to lay on the tennis court for some peace and quiet. Closing his eyes he let out a sigh as the small breeze lulled him into a half conscious state. Hearing footsteps approach, Syu opened one eye and lifted his head slightly to see who.
He watched as Gen sat besides him. It was silent for about a minute before Syu finally spoke. "How did you know I was here?"
"Heard the kitchen door slam. I could only guess that you came here though." Syu sat up giving his full attention to the vice-captain.
"You know, I hated you when I first met you." It was when he heard a chuckle, did Syu himself ease up. Him and Gen have never spent much time together since they started this whole relationship. "I love how you find this funny?"
"Yeah, I wasn't your biggest fan either. I hated you for dating Sei." Syu smiled and looked to the dark blue sky seeing a few stars. "When I saw you kiss him on the tennis courts at our school I have never wanted to punch someone so much."
"If it helps, even when me and Sei did start dating he wouldn't shut up about you. Made me jealous. I had only really known him for a while before then, but hearing about you and him growing up together I kind of wished I was there." The tensai laughed. "I was there though when he came out to Shan about being gay. Sei was speechless when Shan had told him that he had guessed that he was when he was only 3 years old. Apparently he had met someone who was two years younger then him and wouldn't let go of the kid for his life, claiming that when he's older he was going to marry him."
"You think it was Ryoma?" Gen asked finding this interesting.
"Yeah, I mean I wouldn't of connected it if I didn't see that photo of him and Sei together at such a young age. It's weird though. In that photo, it's the happiest I've ever seen Sei and when they met again for what they both thought was the first time. Sei was already completely taken with Ryo-Chan." Syu felt an arm go round his shoulders and pull his the others side. The tensai didn't even realize it was that cold outside until he felt the warmth he got from Gen.
"I've always wonder though." The vice-captain spoke quietly and he stared at the head which was now resting in to the side of his chest. "What's Shan so worried about? He probably already told you, but when I first met him in a tennis tournament when we were four, Shan seem to always be around Sei constantly. For a whole year Sei didn't go to school and stayed home." Sighing Gen leaned his head on Syu's when the tensai sat up more to rest his head on the others shoulder.
"When he turned 5 he was finally allowed, but he wasn't allowed to do so many things by himself. Even when he stayed with us when Shan had to go do the investigation which no one even knew he was doing at the time, Sei had so many rules to follow. He wasn't even allowed to go outside the back garden unless an adult was there watching him. At night he had to sleep in the same bed as me. The man was seriously convinced that someone would take him away." It was quiet. Syu had heard some of this story before, but he had never heard the part about how protective Shan was of Sei at the time.
"Do you think it was his parents that Shan was scared about?" Syu asked the question that had been bugging him for a while. "There the only one's I could think of. Sei has no idea of what they look like and Shan won't even give him a picture or explain what they look like. He gets really defensive when Sei asks him." The tensai wrapped his arms round the others waist. "You're really warm." He whispered. Gen knowing this was to in some way drop the subject about Sei, kept silent. They both stayed there for about 10 more minutes just enjoying each others company.
Feeling his shoulder was starting to go numb he spoke. "Syu, we should head inside. It's getting late." With a grunt in reply, the tensai stood stretching his arms above his head and yawning.
"I'm tired." He stated as he turned to look at Gen. Watching as the other moved the shoulder he was leaning on to get the blood flowing to it again. As the Rikkaidai student stood he was about to head down the stone steps back to the house. "G..." Syu hesitated. Steeling his resolve he tried again. "Gen." He called out making the other stop on the first step from the top.
Turning his head he was about to ask what Syu wanted when he felt smooth fingers gently touch his cheek. Taking in a breath, Gen looked into the blue eyes. He knew what the other wanted to try with him and he knew that like Syu he was slightly hesitant about it as well. Knowing they would sooner of later do this, Gen closed the gap and was now barely grazing his lips against Syu's. Just watching each other to see who would make the next move, they both felt unsure. The vice-captain sighed mentally as he was about to pull back he noticed the hand that was once on his cheek moved and was now on the back of his head.
Syu panic slightly when he felt Gen about to pull away. In a rush he moved his hand to his head and sealed their lips together by pulling him closer. Fuji felt frozen at what he had just done. He couldn't believe he had just done this when it was clear both of them were uncomfortable with it. Closing his eye tighter so he wouldn't have to look and see the other reaction he waited once more.
Gen relax as he brought his arms round the others waist. Prodding his tongue at Syu's lips, trying to gain access. Opening his mouth to let the other explore, the tensai found himself getting more and more into it. Tilting his head to the right so he could get a better angle, he started pushing back with his own tongue. When the need for oxygen became to much they slowly broke apart never breaking eye contact as they took heavy breaths.
"We really need to head inside." Syu whispered. The corner of Gen's lips twitch. Instead of reply with a yes he gave Syu a peck on the lips before making their way down the steps hand in hand.
Tomo walked though the doors of the Atobe mansion. Knowing all to well where to look for a certain man. As he pushed the doors to the study open he looked over to the one sitting in the chair with a glass of scotch on the table next to him.
"You know, you shouldn't drink this time of night." Tomo said as he sat on the arm of the chair. Keiichi sighed as he looked to the other beside him. Instead of carry on the conversation Tomo started he changed it.
"Chizu went on holiday to Spain and won't be back for 2 weeks. I told my old man she was on a business trip. Imagine what he would say if he found out she had a lover over there." 50 year old Keiichi laughed as he grabbed the glass from the table and downed it. "I hate that man. How's Keigo doing? I haven't spoken to him for a good few days. Normally he would phone every other day just to see how things are going."
"He's doing great. There six-some or what ever you want to call it is working to some extent. Kunimitsu has managed to win Ryoma over so it's only a matter of time before the boy comes round to the rest of them." Keiichi closed his eyes as he felt a hand running though his hair. "Something's bothering you." He stated. Opening his eyes again, Keiichi frowned. He nodded his head towards the table that had his scotch glass and some papers.
"I don't know how much longer I can keep my old man distracted. I had met up with him this morning and he told me that since Keigo is now 18 he'll have to choose his wife. Damn bastard. He has no right to order me about my own kid. His already ruined mine, I won't let him ruin our sons." Tomo looked lovingly at Keiichi.
"How much longer do you think it'll take before Keigo realizes that his our son legally and Chizu was a surrogate and fake wife for you? I mean Chizu has become dear to me and we did want him to grow up knowing the woman that gave birth to him, having a mother figure around even if she didn't spend that much time with him. I just wish he knew the truth. I hate lying to him. I wonder how he would feel knowing how much both of us wanted him." Keiichi held Tomo's face in his hands.
"Yeah, I just don't want Keigo to be influenced by my father." He whispered as he pulled Tomo close giving him a passionate kiss on the lips.
