CHAPTER 124

(Flashback/ Ryoma POV)

I thought what I went through already was torture enough. Master lied. He said it was done. No more. So... What I want to know is why am I strapped down to the cold metal table.

They all surround me. These needles. The liquid inside them. It doesn't look right. I could sense it. Master stood by my side and I looked at him. I have this sinking feeling in my stomach. "Beauty, this will hurt. Please be a big boy and survive just for me." I didn't know what he was talking about. I felt the cold end of the needle. It was at my throat. My forehead had also been strapped down so I couldn't lift it to look. I closed my eyes and focused. It wasn't just my throat. They where everywhere. The men in white coats... Needles...

The next second the only thing I could recognize was a pain that shot though my entire body. I felt like I was being ripped apart from the inside. I could feel all my muscles pulsing faster and faster. My throat closing up. Lung's were letting air in and out faster then I could keep up and this heart. It felt like someone had a hold on it. Slowly squeezing it tighter and tighter. I could feel the blood running down the side of my face. My eyes felt like they where about to pop out.

"Stop!" I yelled. "Stop!" I shouted again. The next thing I knew I roared. The sound of a wild animal. Going though pain that shouldn't exist. The next thing is I black out.

Pain... Darkness... No one will come. No one was ever meant to find me. I will be alone. Forever. I just wanted to be loved. I'm sorry, I wasn't good enough. I will try better... maybe... Please give me one last chance to save them, even if I can't save myself.

I didn't understand what was happening. Those words just entered my head. It made no sense. Maybe it was my most deepest thought. I still couldn't move. As I opened my eyes before quickly shutting them again. It hurt to even look. Everything that entered my eyes in the few seconds that they where open was too much. I swear I could see even the smallest detail of everything and that was only a small glimpse of it all. I tried to roll over on to my stomach... Bad mistake. I roared. It hurt, my muscles where burning by the slightest movement. I whimpered, but even that was different. It wasn't just a whimper I could hear the growl coming from my throat as well.

I heard foot steps. But what surprised me was that I could feel them bouncing of the walls and different objects in the room. I could picture the room in my head from sounds alone. I knew my hearing was good before, but this kind of freaked me out a little. I could hear a man standing right in front of me. His heartbeat was strong and his breathing soft. As soon as he spoke I knew this man was master.

"Beauty... Open your eyes." It was an order. I couldn't say no. I want master to be happy. I force my eyes open hissing at the pain. My head felt like it was being hit over and over again against a concrete wall. I squinted. Master's features where much easier to see. From the small winkles to the stormy grey colour of his eyes. I felt too weak. I was laying down on my back looking up at the man. I could hear the others enter. I slowly moved my head to the right to see them coming my way. I saw one open his mouth and start speaking.

"Sir, he beautiful. His eyes there practically gold. They seem to be glowing. It's a shame about his speech. Oh well one small sacrifice for science can't be that bad." They all looked at the man talking. He laughed slightly and looked at the boy with a smirk. "So, Beauty." He emphasized my name. "You got something to say about this?" He asked sarcastically thinking I could no longer speak the human tongue. They all laughed with the man. Even master chuckled slightly.

"Kill me..." I spoke just above a whisper. My throat sounded scratchy. All of them stopped and looked at me. I think I did something wrong. Master moved my head quickly so I was looking up at him which sent a rippling pain all though out my body.

"Beauty, what did you just say?"

No more experiments where done on me after that. Just tests and training were all that was waiting for me now. They did after all want me to become the perfect pet. Master did only deserve the best.

I am Beauty. I am eight. Today I have become a fully completed chimera. The only human one in existence. I will start my training and I will become the perfect pet. I just hope that this truly was the last experiment. I don't think I could cope with anymore.

(End Flashback/ Normal POV)

"I said leave!" Ryoma yelled as he grabbed a mug from the table and chucked it, barely missing Keigo's head. Without a second thought as Syu sensed the alarm bells going off in his head, he grabbed the king and dragged him out.

Syu and Kei both stood outside the lounge door. The door itself was closed and both of them were trying not to tear their hair out. They had listened to Ryoma, knowing the boy was holding back and if they tried to help him, he would of flipped on them. So instead he was now trashing the room. Hearing the crashes and bangs as he threw objects against the walls. Most likely both TV and table would have to either be repaired or replaced. They didn't even want to think of the sofa's or all the windows. But out of all that what hurt them the most was hearing the sound of Ryoma roaring and crying, showing how much it had truly hurt him to just have someone find out and walk away.

"What's going on?" Syu and Kei looked to the top of the stairs. Mitsu slowly walked down with his duvet over his shoulders. Hearing the noise had died down, both exchanged looks.

"Ryo-Chan was hurt. Then he flipped. We decided to evacuate when he threw a mug." Syu spoke with complete seriousness. They stood there in silence... "He stopped." All three leaned against the door. All they could hear now was the chocking sobs and mumbling that was slowly getting louder.

Ryoma was on his knees with his forehead touching the ground. He had his hands on his head as he thought of nothing, but how much he was hurting. As he slowly came out of what-ever trance he was in he sat up and looked to one of the shards that was on the ground from where he had thrown a table leg.

Picking it up with his right hand as his other wiped his tears, he squeezed the shard tightly until red liquid was dripping off his hand onto the floor. 'I am nothing without master. Why am I still here? I should of died. I've had enough.'

"I've had enough!" He screamed and as he was about to plunge the piece of glass into his chest he felt a hand around his wrist and being pulled into an embrace.

"Everything will be okay." Ryoma heard being whispered into his ear. The boy threw his arms over the one in front of him, glass shard still held tightly in his hand and buried his face into their shoulder as he cried. "Shh..." The king rubbed the boy's back hoping to calm him. Mitsu and Syu both let out a sigh of relief as they watch Kei and Ryoma on the lounge floor.

When the three had heard the boy shout, they wasted no time in opening the door. Both Mitsu and Syu had froze on the spot when they saw what Ryoma was about to do. Kei had, without pausing to really take in the situation dove for Ryoma to stop him before he really hurt himself.

Going over, Mitsu crouched down behind Keigo and prized the glass out of Ryoma's hand. The boy lifted his head and stared at Mitsu.

"Let's sort out your hand." The Seigaku captain gabbed Ryoma's uninjured hand and pulled him away from Keigo. As Mitsu led the boy passed Syu to the door, he stopped for a second and whispered into the tensai's ear. "Make sure Kei's okay. He's shaking." Syu nodded and waited till Mitsu had gotten Ryoma into the kitchen to wash his wound.
