CHAPTER 125
Syu slowly went over and sat next to the other making sure he wouldn't sit on any glass in the process. He placed a hand on Kei's shoulder. "You okay?"
"Why the hell did you and Mitsu freeze up? You're lucky that Ore-Sama moved because right now we could be staring over a very injured brat or even a dead one." Glaring daggers, Keigo was about to move to get up when he felt himself being pulled into a one armed hug.
"Sorry." Using his free arm, Syu brought it up and placed it onto Kei's cheek, slowly directing him so they faced. "Really, I'm sorry." Leaning in, the tensai brushed his lips against the others, letting their noses rub together.
Mitsu stood behind Ryoma holding his hand in the sink as he washed the wounds and checked to see if there was any glass left. Turning the tap off when he deemed Ryoma's wounds clean, he let go of the boy's hand and gabbed some bandages to wrap it in.
"Sit on the table." Shuffling over, Ryoma pulled himself up with one hand and let his legs swing back and forth on the edge. As Mitsu was about to wrap his hand the front door opened.
"We're back." Sei called. Mitsu in his head counted to five knowing already what was going to happen. "What happened to the lounge? Where's Ryo-Chan?" In less than a second Sei was in the kitchen holding Ryoma's face in his hands. "Are you okay? Are you hurt?" The cat just looked at the blunette startled. Sei was snapped out of his worry when he heard someone calling out to him in the other room.
"Ore-Sama and Syu and fine, if you were wondering Sei." Frowning, Sei looked around the kitchen and saw for the first time that Mitsu was leaning against the counter.
"Were they in the lounge?" Sei pointed to the door indicating about hearing Keigo's voice. Seeing the Seigaku captain nod and sigh. "I didn't see them. I just saw destruction and I knew where destruction was Ryo-Chan was normally in the middle of it."
"Saa... It's great to know that we mean so much to you." Sei smirk when he heard the humour in Syu's voice.
"I love you too Syu." He called back. Feeling a tug on his sleeve he looked back to Ryoma. The boy lifted his hand to show the cuts. Pausing, the blunette was about to ask Mitsu for a bandage when he saw them in the others hand. The Seigaku captain offered them to Sei and he took them with a thanks.
Grabbing some kitchen roll he dabbed the cuts so he could get a better look at how deep they were. Cringing, he looked at Ryoma's face to only see that the boy looked upset, afraid and had grief written all over it.
There were two cuts. One was on the inner side of his thumb, while the other was longer and stretched from the bottom edge of his pinkie all the was across his palm to his index finger. Once he had wrapped his hand up, Sei kissed the back of it and whispered. "Pain, Pain go away." Before looking into Ryoma's eyes with a small smile. "Magic words."
The cat's lips twitched. Suddenly he was holding in laughter as tears fell from his face. Sniffing soon started to happen and Ryoma found himself laughing only for it to slowly turn into a full blown cry.
Gen yawned and stretched as he slowly sat up, rubbing the sleep from his eyes. It was Saturday. He knew Mitsu, Syu and Ryoma had matches today. Looking to his left he had Ryoma curled up next to him holding onto Syu's waist, face in the others stomach so he could see it. Syu was back to back with Sei. Sei was using Mitsu's arm as a pillow and Kei... was gone. Pausing, Gen in his sleepy state counted only to frown when he realized that yes, Kei was not here.
Groaning as he threw the covers off and let the cold air touch his bare skin. Hearing mumbling he looked besides him to see Ryoma's tear stained face for the first time as the boy move so his ear was now against the others tummy. Grabbing his shirt from the floor he pulled it over his head and went over to the door. He left the room after giving one last look at his sleeping lovers and a worried glance over to the cat.
One by one they all woke up and got dressed making their way downstairs. The only one left up stairs curled under the blanket was Ryoma. As he woke he rolled his arms, before getting on his knees and sticking his arms out in front of him. Letting his fingers appear just out of the duvet and flexing them. He stiffened when he heard the door open.
"Ryoma... Are you awake?" The cat pushed up and peered over the covers. He looked to Gen wide eyed in anticipation. The other didn't sound as happy as he normally was. The cat watched as Gen sat on the end of the bed. "Come over here." He patted the space next to him. Cautiously, Ryoma got out off the warmth and made his way over on all fours, sitting slightly away from the other. "Closer." Scooting over a little Ryoma looked away knowing the other wanted contact of some sort. "On my lap." Pouting, he climbed onto Gen's lap after 30 seconds of contemplating whether it was a good idea or not seeing as it would be harder to escape. So now he was straddling the other wondering if something had happened.
"Are you mad at me?" He asked as his bottom lip trembled.
"No, I'm worried. How are you feeling after yesterday?" The vice-captain watched as the boy tensed at the mention of it. "None of us are blaming you for what happened to the lounge. People are coming in today to fix it and their installing shatterproof glass in all windows and doors. Tomo had suggested that we all spend a couple of day with our families, which ended up being that Kei is staying with me till Monday, since he didn't want to deal with his grandfather. Tomo had made arrangements for Sei to stay with Mitsu and his family and you are with Syu."
"So Monday... We all come back?" Getting a nod, Ryoma scrunched his face in thought.
"Kei's also made arrangements for a new bathtub. Apparently the one we have now is too small." Gen felt Ryoma wrapped his arms round his neck and legs around his waist.
"Why don't you want people to find out you like Mitsu?" It was Ryoma's turn to see the other in an uncomfortable position. "I mean yesterday the only reason you took Sei out with the regulars from your school was to make up a reason as to why you and Mitsu were at the hotel, right?"
"I could ask you the same. Why don't you want them to find out about your appearance?" Wrapping his arms around the smaller one, he carried on." People judge, Ryoma. You know this better then most. When you hear someone say that they don't care what others think, then why do they try so hard to keep secrets then? Why do they want to cover up who they are? In the end they care. People care most about their appearance. How the world looks at them."
"Wow." Gen snapped his head to the door to see Kei smirking, but not his normal arrogant one. This was more gentle. "Ore-Sama never knew you could speak so much." Gen felt Ryoma put his head under his chin.
"Do you think it's possible?" Keigo went over and sat next to them.
"What's possible? Brat, you need to explain what you're thinking. No matter how great Ore-Sama is. I haven't learnt to read minds yet." Ryoma turned his head to look at the king.
"Being open about the relationship you have with four others?"
'Four... Oh, he still not completely with us. I forget sometimes.' Kei mentally berated himself for not remembering that Ryoma was really only with Mitsu. "I don't know. I'm more worried about what's going on now." As the cat was about to ask more questions, the three of them all hear Tomo's voice calling from downstairs.
"Ryoma! Breakfast!" Like that, the conversation with the three of them was broken as the boy disappeared in a flash to go fill his stomach.
