Friday just wouldn't or could not come fast enough for me. I had spent the whole week avoiding the likes of Jessica Stanley and her friends as they kept on trying to trip me. I haven't been seriously hurt and have no clue on why she was doing it. Hurting me will not keep me from going to England unless I end up in a coma. I don't really care anyway as the tripping attempts were becoming more annoying more than anything.
I know my dad was happy for Friday to come and go because I was bugging him about how much I just wanted to visit England even if it was only for a single solitary week. The other entrants and I came to the conclusion that we did not want Jessica Stanley to win at all and would be fine if someone other than Jessica won if they did not.
"Will Jessica Stanley, Isabella Swan, Angela Webber, Jasper Whitlock and Eric Yorkie please report to the front office as soon as possible?"
Angela looked over at me and shrugged her shoulders as if nothing is wrong and went about packing up her things.
"You girls may go. Read the last couple of chapters for homework tonight. Finals are in the last week of May." Miss Pitt replied. "So study hard."
"Oh we will." I called leaving the room. "See you Monday Miss Pitt."
Angela and I had been the last of the top five to make it to the office. Jasper and Eric were sitting down by the old water cooler talking about some new war video game, while Jessica was leaning against the counter starring at her pink painted nails.
"Good you are finally here you five may enter now." The receptionist told us.
One by one the five of us filed into the office. Jessica pushed pass the rest of us and took a seat in the only chair located in the office that was not occupied already. The rest of us were forced to stand or sit Indian style on the floor.
"Now that you are all here I can let you know that because of recent anonymous donations to the writing contest or sweepstakes whatever you want to call it there has been a change in plans." He said.
"What plans?" I asked.
"Well during seventh hour today you will find that two instead of just one of you will be awarded a trip to England."
"Really two of us get to go to England."
"Yes. It's true now good luck to you all." He said. "It is now time for you to head back to your classes and see you seventh period."
We left the room talking about the news that two instead of one were going to England. It gave all of us a greater chance at winning. I just hope the second one wasn't Jessica. I couldn't stand being in England with her for a whole year. She'd drive me crazy.
