"Ms. Bennett we are here." the driver said.
"Oh that was quick." I replied.
"We have been on the road for twenty minutes." Jane said. "You are staying in this hotel and jasper will be in one ten minutes down the road. You will meet your host family later today."
I caught sight of a clock and saw that it read 3am. I couldn't believe it was that late. But then again it wasn't this late back in America. In fact, it was still the first of June.
"Come along now Ms. Swan gather your things so we can check you into your room."
I nodded. Jane then climbed out of the car, followed by the driver who stopped to open my door. I got out and was immediately greeted by another woman dressed just like Jane.
"Nice to meet you Miss. Swan. I am Allie DuBois. I'll be your contact while you are here in England. You will have my number to call in case anything was to happen. So you may never have to speak to me again until the year is up and it's time for you to return home." She said. "I introduce you to your host family tomorrow after you've had breakfast."
"That sounds good to me." I told her.
"I figured it does now let's go and get you settled into your room." Allie said. "Would you want any food sent up?"
"I would like a burger right now. I know it will put me to sleep and I kind of need to with it being three almost four in the morning."
"Okay I'll show you how to order once we get to your room. The elevator is that way."
Allie had not said anything to me after I asked her what floor we were going to. I also remained quiet as the number of the floors ticked higher and higher before it finally came to a stop. The doors opened and she led me to a door with the number thirteen on it. She opened the door and allowed me to enter first.
She followed me in along with the bell hop with all my luggage. He sat them down in a corner and left after receiving a tip from Allie.
"All you have to do to order your burger will be to pick up the menu and dial the number at the top and tell them what item you wish to order."
"Thanks. I guess I will see you in the morning."
Allie turned and left the room. Leaving the key on the dresser next to the television. I looked around the room and while nicer that most hotel rooms I have stayed in. It didn't really look all that different from an American hotel room.
Once I was settled on the bed I picked the menu back up along with the phone from the bedside table and dialed the number liked Allie showed me. I placed an order for a burger.
