Updated: July 4 2016I had almost fallen asleep when there was a knock on my hotel room door and had forgotten about the burger I ordered. I got up and climbed out of bed even though I really didn't want to and the bed was quite comfortable.

"Who is it?" I asked.

"It is room service." A male voice said.

I opened the door but was skittish about opening it to someone that I did not know and allowing them into my room. A man that couldn't be more than twenty walked in with a car and a silver serving dish sitting on top of it. I thanked him and gave him five pounds.

"You can leave the cart in the hall once you are done. It will be picked up in the morning by eight if you don't order breakfast before then."

"I know," I replied.

The moment the man was out of my room I closed the door and made sure that the deadbolt was in place. I looked out the peephole and saw that he was walking down the hallway toward the elevator.

I let out a sigh of relief and then pulled the cart with my burger on it over to the bed. I sat on the edge and turned the television on while I ate my meal. It was some rerun of a British show that I never heard of but it seemed okay. I watched that until it went off and the British version of Law and Order which I enjoy. The accents and court scenes took some getting used to. I would be here a year so I knew that it wouldn't take long.

I was on my second episode of Law and Order when I started to fall asleep. I knew that there was something that I needed to do but I have no idea what it was. I tried to rack my tired and sleep-addled brain to figure it out but nothing came to me. With nothing coming to me I just turned the television off and drifted off to sleep.

CPOV I watched as my daughter walked on to the plane. There was a twinge in my chest just like there was the day I watched her take her first steps. She deserved this trip. She had dealt with a mother like Renee and taking far more care of me than she should have to. She was my daughter and not my mother or wife.

And I wouldn't want her stuck in Forks for the rest of her life. She was the type of person that needed to see the world whether they realized it or not and I hope to God that this trip to England wasn't her only trip outside of the United States let alone the state of Washington.

I stayed at the airport until I saw her plane take off from the runway. Once it was just a tiny little speck I turned on my heel and walked away.
