Once I was all set up in my room Maggie left. I tried everything from counting sheep to warm milk but not a single thing worked for me. I thought about taking sleeping pills but I don't like the way they make me feel most of the time and I hated waking up in the morning with cotton mouth. I hardly ever took them when a doctor told me that I should take them.
So instead of sleeping like I really should be doing I sat in a chair in front of the window in my room. The window gave me a nice view of the city but I couldn't see anything like Big Ben or the palace. I took a few pictures to document the view for my trip and a letter home to mom.
The first letter I wrote to my mom took longer than I thought it would. She was the only person back in Forks that I could write to. I didn't know anyone else well enough to write them. Well there was Mr. Swan but I think it would be a little odd if I was writing home to him and not my mom. I think I would only write to him if it concerned Bella since I was the only one she knew over here.
I took to Facebook and posted one of the pictures I took from my hotel room window. I gave it the caption of "Not the best but still a pretty good view."
I noticed a few kids from school liked and shared it right away but I doubt that they really cared well Angela Webber probably did but I don't think Jessica or Lauren really did. I replied to Angela but ignored Lauren and Jessica.
Once I was done with Facebook I logged off and shut my computer down. I now had nothing else to do unless I wanted to sleep (which I did) but couldn't no matter how hard I tried. Insomnia struck full force and I could not sleep.
I would rather sleep and dream of unicorns, rainbows and all that girly kind of crap than not sleep at all.

I knew something was up with Edward. He was up pacing again. I don't know why but I could hear the creak of the floors as he walked across them. I slipped out of bed and walked up to his room and peaked inside. I could hear his voice as I got closer and once his door was open I could see him carrying a book. I guess he was studying for one of his pre-med class.
Watching him study was like we were little kids again and he was acting out scenes from one of William Shakespeare's many plays. More often than not it was Romeo and Juliet.
"Alice go to sleep." Edward said. "I know you are there. You are the only one that watches me study."
How had he known that I was there?
