BPOVThe Golden Summer Ball!

The Golden Summer Ball is just two solid weeks away and planning is at full speed. Miss Mary Alice Brandon cousin to Duke Edward Cullen is said to be the one behind the organizing of the event and many rumors have abounded to what the theme of the night is. Some think it might be a casino night while others think that it might be Midnight in Paris and a few others.

"You didn't strike me as the type to read that kind of fodder."

"What do you mean by that?" I asked.

"The type that read anything and everything they can about the Royals and or the rich and famous."

"Well I'm not. I finished my book and this paper was the only thing near that I could find to read. Ted." I said before looking up at him.

"Why do you insist on calling me that?"

"Because of that cute little bear that was sticking out of your bag when I bumped in to you at that bookstore the first time and you refuse to tell me your name." I replied.

"You know why I refuse to tell you my name." Ted told me. "You are lucky I can meet you like I have been."

"You know what I don't think I can meet you again unless you want to be honest about who you are, kind of like I am with you."

"Bella you know…"

"I'm done." I snapped before storming off away from Ted and his excuses.

I hopped on to a bus before Ted could stop and dazzle me into believing his excuses. He's done that before and I do not want that happening again.

Dunn House

"Miss. Swan you are back early." Edie said.

"My friend couldn't make it." I replied. "Edie I don't feel well so I'm going to bed early. Please don't wake me unless you absolutely have to."

"Got it. No waking unless there is an emergency or the family needs you."

"Alice I don't care what you want me to wear. I'll pick my tux out myself. Now leave me alone I have to get to the bookstore before class so I can get to my meeting with James on time."

I ran as fast as I could out to my car and headed to the bookstore. Once I was there I found the book I needed and went to pay but was knocked down to the floor. The book flew from my hand and everything in my bag fell out.

"I'm sorry," a timid voice said. "Here's your bear and books."

I have no idea why I had the bear. The books and everything else I could tell why I had but the bear, not one single clue.

"Thank you." I replied taking them. I put them in my bag and paid for my book and headed to class.

Two days later

"Excuse me is your name Ted?" The cashier asked.

"I could be called that." I replied. "But I can't think of anyone who would call me that."

"Did you run into a brown haired girl run into you on Tuesday?"

"Yeah she knocked me and all my things to the floor." I replied. "Why?"

"She left this for you. First time I've been asked to do something like that." The cashier replied.

I took the note from the cashier and went to the back of the store where they had a group of old arm chairs for you to read in if you felt like doing so.

Present Day

I felt guilty as I watched Bella walking away from me. I liked her a lot and couldn't help that but I also couldn't let the press find out about her. They would rip her completely apart leaving nothing untouched.

My phone went off taking my attention away from Bella's retreating form.

"Edward please tell me that you are already on your way. I have a feeling that James is going to start making trouble if you are." Alice said.

"Alice will you just shut up already. I just climbed in to the car after class. I'll be there." I replied.
