Edward Cullen the Duke of Warwickshire on Family, Love, and Charity.
Edward Cullen invited People Magazine reporter Carroll Meyer to a family estate for an intimate interview and tour of the estate.
Carroll Meyer: Thank you for inviting us to your home. It is quite beautiful.
Edward Cullen: You are welcome and the home's beauty is all my mother's doing.
CM: you sound close to your mother.
EC: I am close with both of my parents.
CM: Do you have a favorite parent?
EC: (Laughs) No I don't. I love them both with all I have. I could not have picked or asked for better parents.
CM: Sucking up for Christmas gifts?
EC: I don't really get what most people would call real gifts anymore. They donate a bit of money each year to a charity of my choosing. They started doing that the first Christmas after I turned eighteen.
CM: Wow. So what kind of gifts do you get them?
EC: Well I always get them two gifts. One is a charitable donation in their name and another gift that has some meaning behind it.
CM: What do you mean by that?
EC: Oh I guess I get an old medical journal for my father and a classical music composition for my mother which is usually one of my own making.
CM: Well that clearly shows you love your family and that you and your family love to help out those that are far less fortunate than yourselves.
EC: Why yes we do. I am in fact throwing another ball two days (Dec 20) from now to raise money for multiple charities.
CM: What kind of charities?
EC: There are just too many to count.
CM: Why is that?
EC: There will be a silent auction held the same night of the ball. Several celebrities and private citizens have donated items to be auctioned off. We ask that when they make a bid on an item that they write down the name of a charity they would like the money to go to and we try our best to get it there but that doesn't always happen.
CM: That's a great idea but something I'm sure every girl wants to know who you are taking to the ball.
EC: I don't have a date at the moment but I still plan to attend the ball even if I have to go stag which my mother has voiced her opinion against.
CM: Well I can see your people from here telling me it's time to wrap it up. I have time for one more question to ask and that is 'What do you look for in a woman?'
EC: Well that is a tough one for me. I guess I have to say the type of woman that appeals to me is one that sticks up for herself but is also kind, gentle and loves to help others.
CM: Well thank you again Edward for inviting us into your life and your home. I hope to see you again.
EC: You are welcome.
"Edward put that away. It is time for us to leave for dinner." Alice said. "You were the one to make the plans weeks ago."
"You are the one who told me to read it." Edward replied. "And I made dinner plans for none not eight."
"So what I like to be early. There is absolutely no problem with being early but you seem to have one."
"Alice you just want to go see that Jasper kid. Is he even legal?" Edward replied.
"Of course he is."
