Bpov New Year's had come and gone quicker than I thought it would and soon I was back to staying with the Dunn family again. I wasn't in the same room as before, I was now made to sleep in a room with the maids and cook. I found that they were much easier to be around than it was to be around Tanya and Mrs. Dunn. I was just happy that I only had a few months left until I had to go back to America in time for the fourth of July and my official freshman year of college.

"Isabella quite writing in that dam thing and go help the maids clean out the bathrooms."

I rolled my eyes and waited for Mrs. Dunn to leave. I hid my journal where she and her daughter would never find it. I then went to help the maids out with the bathroom. It didn't take us long for us to finish the bathrooms.

"Mum! They have finally set a trial date for the man that shot Edward. We have to go and support Eddie if it is open to the public. That man should be out in prison for life." Tanya told he mother.

It was then that Mrs. D spotted me just inside the doorway watching the news report on the television. I saw the glint in her eyes as they narrowed and took me in. She was going to snap and yell at me at any moment I just knew it.

"Get back to work Isabella. I should have never applied to host an American." Mrs. D said. "Nothing but lazy animals they are."

I was about to open my mouth and reply but the newest maid Amelia grabbed my arm and pulled me out if the room before I could get one single syllable out. Once she released her grip on my arm I yanked it away.

"Why did you pull me out there?" I asked.

"The other maids and I have heard her talking about you and it was not nice. We vowed to protect you as best as we could." Amelia told me. "There are a few of is that believe her to be mentally ill and the new butler believes that Mr. Dunn plans on leaving her because he has been visiting the family lawyer a lot the past few weeks. Most of us seem to agree with him."

"I'd be in that boat with you as well. I have that Jane Austen tour next week." I said. "I think Mrs. D will turn her attention to one of you once I am gone."

"We are…"

A crash from the room we had just left cut Amelia off. Carefully we walked up to the door to see what had made the noise. Looking around the doorway Amelia and I saw the broken fragments of an old and very expensive vase on the floor in front of us.

"You go find my boss and I will go clean that up." Amelia said as she stood up straight and walked into the room. "Ma'am I heard the crash is here anything that needs to be cleaned up?"

Amelia went and closed the doors to the room before Mrs. D had replied. I didn't like the way she talked about American's or at least a United States citizen because not all American's were from the US. Once I knew that Mrs. D was completely distracted I went and used the small amount of free time I had and checked my email since I hadn't been able to do so in a couple of days because of all the work that Mrs. D had given me to do. I also ticked off a day from my Jane Austen trip count down. Oh how I could not wait for next week to come. Any time away from the Dunn family was a good thing. I was so much calmer when I wasn't with in hearing distance of them.

I was just about finished emailing my dad back when Mrs. D caught up with me and told me to go mop the kitchen floor as it was looking a little dirty.
