"So what did you learn?" Dean asked as he was driving down the street towards our hotel.

"No much. I mean the guy was a creep, but he seemed harmless. He really seemed concerned for the safety of the kids but did not want to talk about the deaths much." I told the two of them.

"So you don't think he's involved?" Sam asked.

"He seemed like a regular Norman bates to me. I say he's our guy. The counsels all think he has something to do with it."

"At least you got somewhere. The kids where a bust." Sam said.

"What did the counselors say?" I asked Dean.

"Apparently Norman is a hound dog and he does not like being rejected. From what I was told he had a confirmation with each of the victims." Dean answered me.

"You did not see anything suspicious?" Sam asked me.

"Besides his house filled with dead animals there was one thing." I told him.

"What?" Dean asked as he looked at me through the mirror.

"There was a chest in his living room that had no way to be opened. My guess is it can only be opened by magic." I told the two of them.

"If we get you back in the house do you think you could open it?" Dean asked me.

"Of course." I told him.

"Dean I don't think that's a good idea. The guy does not look like he ever leaves his house. If he is the ones doing this it's not safe to send her back." Sam said.

"Sam I can handle myself. I'll be fine. Let's get back regroup with Spike. See if we can figure out what this thing is. Then we will head back tonight." I told him.

"Destiny." Sam said but I cut him off before he could finish.

"Sam this is not my first rodeo." I told him.

About ten minutes later we were back at the hotel. Once we parked I quickly made my way to my room. I had barely spent any time with Spike.

"Where are you going?" Sam asked because I was walking away from them.

"To my room." I answered him un-shore of what he thought my answer was going to be.

"You're not going to help us with the research?" Sam asked.

It was easy he just did not want me to go back to my room where he knew Spike was still waiting.

"I'm going to go shower and change. Maybe get some sleep. Spike and I will meet you in your room at sun down." I told them.

Dean did not really care at all about what we were talking about. He just walked off towered his room. Sam on the other hand lingered for a few seconds. He was obviously conflicted about something.

"Bye Sam." I said as I turned and made my way into my room.

Once in my room I was not surprised to see all the lights where still off and Spike was still asleep on the bed. He lied on his back with his hands behind his head facing up to the ceiling. I also knew that he was a very light sleeper and if I made even the slightest nose I would wake him up. I quickly and quietly undressed and placed my clothes in a hamper that sat in the corner. It did not bother me that I was standing in the middle of the room naked, Spike was asleep and even if he was not he had seen me naked enough times that it was not weird.

I made my way over to the bathroom and made shore not to turn the light on until the door was closed behind me. I knew even the smallest amount of light would wake him up. I turned the water on and took a really hot fast shower. When I was done I dried myself quickly and then wrapped my hair up in the towel. I turned off the light and then walked out of the bathroom.

I took a quick look over to Spike who was still lying just as I had left him but with a big smirk on his face. The sound of the shower obviously had woken him but he did not move. He did not even open his eyes. I walked over to my bag and pulled on a pair of black lace bra and panties. I usually slept in the nude but because Spike was in the room I would have to make due with underwear.

I undid my hair from the towel and walked over to the bed. I climbed in next to him and could not help but notice his smile widen as I did so. I rolled my eyes even though he was not able to see it. I scooted over to him and rested my head on his chest. I let one of my arms rest across his upper stomach and closed my eyes.

Spike and I knew each other very well so he knew all I wanted to do was sleep. He wrapped his arm around my shoulders pulling me a little closer to him.

"Get some rest, love." He whispered into my hair, his chin was rested on the top of my head.

That's exactly what I planned on doing. I was able to get a good night sleep when Spike slept next to me. He was the only person I could ever fully trust. He never betrayed me and never feared me. I always knew I was safe when he was around. So when he was around was the only time I could ever have a peaceful rest. Sometimes in moments like this I wondered why we could not make it work between the two of us. In the end I always knew the answer. He was still in love with Buffy and even though I loved him more than some members of my family I was not in love with him. We were just two people who were perfect for each other but who fate wanted apart.

Before long I felt rest coming to me as my body instantly started to relax.
