I was In Tanya's bathroom cleaning it when out of nowhere Tanya started to scream for her mother. It was annoying her mother wasn't even home at the moment. She had a 'meeting' at three. A few seconds later she was storming into the bathroom.
"Where is my white gold diamond encrusted watch?" She snapped.
"I didn't know that you had one." I replied."you should check your safe If you have one./If not you should totally get one."
"It was laying on my dressing table before you started to clean my room. Now WHERE is it?"
"I don't have it." I replied.
"Yes you do." She said. "I'm calling the police."
"Why I didn't take a single thing from your room."
Tanya refused to listen to what I was saying. I stopped cleaning her bathroom and went to my room. My bags were still packed I could take them and leave but I did not want to be accused of running from the police. I sat on my bed and waited for them to arrive. It took them two hours to arrive.
There was a knock at the door.
"Come In." I said.
The door opened and revealed a woman dressed in a day uniform.
"Are you Isabella?" They asked.
I nodded.
"I'm officer Jenko. Do you know why I am here ?"
"Yes, Tanya thinks that I stole her watch. I didn't take it hell I didn't even know she had one."
"It's okay I am not here to accuse you of anything. This whole process could be solved pretty quickly."
"You want to search my things?" I asked knowing from my Dad's job this is how things usually went.
"Yes I would like to but I would need your permission to do so."
"Go a head I have nothing to hide. All my stuff is in those bags."
I pointed to the bench at the end of the bed where my bags rested.
"You planning on running?" Jenko asked.
"No but I do plan to leave at the end of the month." I said. "I was scheduled to leave at the end of July but I can't take much more of Tanya and her mother."
Officer Jenko nodded. She then started going through my bags. The first two came up clean, as did the third and fourth bags. The fifth bag which was my carry on that ever thing changed. From the smallest front pocket the officer pulled Tanya's watch and a few other items that i had never seen before.
"Care to explain this?" She asked.
"I have no idea where those came from."
"I have to say I'm sorry but I have to place you under arrest and take you down to the station."
I remained numb as she read my England's version of the Miranda rights and placed the cuffs on my wrist. s then had me stand out side of the room as she documented every thing. She placed all the jewelry she found into plastic bags. She grabbed all the evidence bags and guided me with her free hand out to the patrol car. I swear Tanya was smirking at me on my way out.
Sitting in the back of the car with my hands cuffed I couldn't help but pray that I would be proven innocent. The officers came back to the car and climbed in without saying a single thing to me.

"Hello miss. We got a call about a theft in progress."
"Yes I'm the one that place the call." I said. "I believe that my family's exchange student is the one at fault."
"What is their name?"
"Is she here or…"
"She Is here. I believe she is her room."
"You can stay here with officer Regan while I go speak with her." the female said. "Where is her room?"
"Her room is the third door on the left down the hallway by the kitchen. Its where the servants used to live."
"Thanks."
The female officer left me with her partner Officer Regan, who was very cute for a cop. Not someone I could marry but cute nonetheless. I was expected to marry up. Which is why my mother Is so insistent that I ensnare Edward into marriage. I like him well enough but I really don't want to get married.
About fifteen minutes later Isabella was led outside to the patrol car.
"We found these items in Miss. Swans bag." Officer Jenko said. "As you can see we found your watch and a few other items."
"Can you Identify them?" Officer Regan asked.
"Well the watch is mine but I don't recognize the rest of them." I lied. "Guess I'm not her only victim."
They thanked my for the help, gave me their cards in case I had anymore questions or remembered anything else. It now seems almost too easy to blame my stealing on Bella. I certainly couldn't do anymore of it now that she was with those officers.

The ride in the patrol car seemed to be a quick one. I was smart and didn't say anything all though some would say keeping mum was a stupid thing to do. Once at the station they led me to a bank of cells and placed me in the only open one. The rest were filled with drunk males that had been out drinking the night before.
"Don't forget to print and book her." Someone mumbled as Officer Jenko started to close the cell door.
She pulled me out of the cell and led me to where they had a printing and photo station set up. I was the told to hold a place with my info on it. Once I was finished (they even allowed me to clean the ink off my fingers) I was led back to the cell I had first been put in. I sat on the wooden bench at the back and waited for them to come back and question me. I preceded to wait for over an hour until an officer that looked closer to my age came and got me and led me to a room that was closed off except for the door and the two way mirror that let people look in from another room. I sat at the table In the room facing the two way mirror.
"Hello Miss Swan. I am inspector Gardner. I am just going to ask you some questions today."
"Okay."
"Where were you on April thirtieth of this year?" Inspector Gardner asked.
"At the Dunn house cleaning."
"Was anyone home with you?"
"There were two other girls that were also cleaning ."
"What were their names?" He asked.
"I believe they were Maria and Carina La Duke. I believe they are cousins as well."
"Did you talk with them at all?"
"Only about our cleaning assignments. I got the bedrooms and bathrooms and they got everything else."
"Is that how Tanya Dunn's watch ended up in your bag."
"I didn't put it there. I didn't take a single thing I don't know how those items got there. Someone must have put them there." I said.
"And why would someone want to frame you for stealing several expensive jewels?"
"I have no idea. Maybe it was a crime of opportunity."
"And who would have been able to do that?"
"Anyone else with access to the Dunn home." I replied.
"You were in all the bedrooms by yourself and you didn't take even a single pound?"
"I don't need to. I have my own money. Most of it from the United States so I have to convert it to British pounds."
"Just answer the question."
"I did. I have no need to take their money." I replied. "My dad sends me some each month."
"How much?" The officer asked.
"I'd say it would equal about a hundred pounds."
"Okay do you recognize any of these pieces?"
He laid the jewelry that Officer Jenko found out on the table. He even Included Tanya's watch.
"I recognize Tanya's watch and the one on the end is a piece that Tanya wore to the Duke of Warkwickshire's ball." I said. "I do not know where the rest of them came from. I have never seen them. You wouldn't find my fingerprints on them"
"And what makes you think we have time for that?" he asked.
"I don't know if you do or not I was just letting you know that it is highly unlikely for you to find my prints on those pieces."
"You know a lot about police procedures?"
"My dad is a police chief back home."
"Explains a lot. But i will be having everything printed and compared to yours." he said. "I'll have Officer Jenko take you back to your cell."
"Do I get a phone call?" I asked.
"I will see about you getting a phone to call." he said. "They are kind of filled up at the moment."
It took Officer Jenko a few minutes to arrive and take me back to the cell. There was another woman in there now. I sat on the far end of the bench away from her. I didn't feel comfortable around her. The way she dressed said she was a participant of the oldest profession in the world.
