Omake 2: Tree climbing
"Alright your training starts now." Kakashi said as he helded onto the crutch that held his weight.
"Alright!" Naruto said excitedly.
"We will begin with a review of chakra, a ninja basic source of power, understanding chakra is essential." Kakashi informed them.
"How does he not understand the basic that every shinobi must know." Rin asked.
"If he is anything like Obito he probably slept through the lesson or skipped." Kakashi answered.
"Hey! I did not skip that lesson I was honestly sick that time." Obito retorted.
"When know that," Sasuke told him as he closed his eyes and placed a hand on his hip.
"You know he right, all long time ago we learned about Catra." Naruto agreed.
"Catra?" Jiriya said raising an eyebrow at Naruto.
Kakashi sighed as he corrected Naruto pronunciation. "Chakra." Causing Naruto to groan slightly. Kakashi then looked over at Sakura."Go ahead Sakura." As he motioned for her to explain to Naruto what Chakra was.
"Alright Naruto, I will explain it simply for even you can understand." Sakura said as she pulled out a scroll that had the word secret across it and showed it to Naruto.
"What is that supposed to mean?" Obito asked.
"She trying to simplfy it for him so he does not die of boredom." Kushina says.
"Oh..." Obito said.
"Chakra is the essence of life energy that Ninja uses into jutsu, it is the source of all of his/her power, Now this energy has two forms, Physical Energy; which consist of all the cells in the entire body that all work together and Spiritual Energy, primal power which intensifies with training and Experience." Sakura explained as she opened the scroll and showed Naruto pictures of what she was talking about.
"It requires an extreme capability of balance of both chakras in order to preform a jutsu." Minato stated.
"We all know this Minato stop repeating the girl." Tsunade says/
"As you can see these two types of chakra must be drawn out before being able to perform any type of jutsu, notice the enter plate between the Physical and Spiritual that the key." Sakura continued as she pointer to the slip between the swirl of physical and Spiritual energy.
"I think this little girl would be a wonderful teacher." Mikoto said
"And finally Hand signs, are the focus point that unleash the chakra." Sakura concluded her lesson.
"Right on all points, Iruka-sensei really did have some excellent students." Kakashi said.
Sakura scoffed as her ego grew slightly at the compliment.
"That little girl is kind of stuck up." Fugaku murmured.
"What is the big deal all these complicated explanations, the point is to learn the jutsu is it." Naruto said.
"Naruto actually right for once, we are already using the charka energy to make our jutsu." Sasuke told them.
"No!, you have not mastered this power, you barely scratched the surface of it." Kakashi said raising his voice slightly.
"No need to yell Kakash, there just Genin."Mikoto said shaking her head.
"What every ninja should already know this why did Sakura have to explain something they should have already learned in the academy." Kakashi said.
"They possible must have changed the rules when the war ended so there might have been no reason for them to teach them this right away." Fugaku explained.
"What do you mean?" Naruto yelled in frustration.
"Calm down and listen, it just like Sakura said you have to draw on Phyiscal and Spiritual Energy then combine them within yourself but how do you do that?," Kakashi started as he began his own mini lecture.
"He is acting like such a stereotype blonde right now it so sad." Rin said as she released a heavy sigh.
"Each Jutsu requires different types of Chakra in different proportions and you can select and joined them in the exactly the right way, up to now you have only guessed the proportions hoping they would come out right." Kakashi said,
"Even if you produce a lot of chakra, unless you can balance and control it all worthless, the jutsu won't work at all or it will all be a jock, you waste so much energy that way then you will be out of chakra and you can't fight at all, your just a target." Kakashi concluded as Naruto remember when he tried to pass the Shadow clone exam but he failed to do so.
"This is extremely hard for a jinchuuriki, to handle with the massive over load of chakra is presented with." Kushina stated.
"But then how come you were able to control it so well?" Minato asked.
"It took a lot of practice I had a lot to learn to accomplish my dream at that time." Kushina told him giving him as smile causing Minato to blush and turn away.
"Uh... so how do we change that?" Naruto asks as he rubbed his neck sheepishly.
"You train so hard that controlling your chakra becomes second nature, to achieve this goal you must be ready... to put your life on the line." Kakashi informed them as he closed his notice able eye and his students gaped at him.
"There is another way to do it, or was it two ways." Jiriya says
"There is only one way to do it." Tsunade said glaring at her former teammate.
"What do we have to do?" Sakura asked unsure and Kakashi laughed before lifting one hand up to his masked mouth and said "Climb a tree."
"Climb a Tree!" Team 7 repeated looking at there sensei unsure as they thought he might have hit his head to hard.
"Thats right, but there is just one rule, no hands." Kakashi said.
"How are they supposed to do that?" Obito asked.
"By using your chakra that is what the lesson is about Dobe." Kakashi said, as Obito turned to glare at him.
"You got to be kidding..." Sakura groaned as she looked at her sensei.
Kakashi let a small laugh, "Am I,... Lets see." Kakashi said as he began to concentrate his chakra to his feet and he started over to the tree and began to climb it without using his hands.
His students gasped as they watched their sensei. "Ahh he climbing..." Naruto said awe-struck.
"He is climbing straight up, and he is only using his feet." Sakura said.
As Kakashi stopped walking until he was hanging upside down on a tree,
"Show off." Obito murmured
"Well you get the idea." Kakashi started, "You can start be focusing your chakra at the souls of your feet and use it to connect to the tree, this is one way to apply the way of chakra." Kakashi finished.
"Wait a minute, that is a nice trick but how does it help us fight Zabuza!?"Sakura screamed at him.
"It's the only way to fight him, Sakura." Kakashi stated, "It is the entire goal of this training, First, you will learned how to draw out an persice amount of chakra to an exact point in your body, this is difficult even for advance ninja, this type of climbing requires a subtly mix of both Physical and Spiritual energy. At the bottoms of the feet, are the most difficult to focus chakra onto, are you getting the picture." Kakashi explained.
"If you can master this, you will be able to master any jutsu, theoretically and the second point is to learn to keep up your chakra, when a ninja is focused in battle, it's even harder to control and maintain his/her chakra levels, is a deadly mistake to avoid this it ,becomes second nature effortless, we could talk about this all day, but it will not advance your skill will it." Kakashi began, "You need to apply the power of chakra, through training." Kakashi said as he pulled out three Kunai and threw them to his students.
"Oh I see what your doing, your having them manage there chakra while climbing up the tree and maintaining balance while on the tree." Fugaku said as he gave Kakashi praise
His students gasped as they saw the kunai fell planted into the front of them.
"Use the kunai knife to mark at the highest point you can climb without using your hands and try to get past that mark the next time and the next, first you will need to run up at the tree so your momentum can take you as high as possible, until you get used to it, ready?" Kakashi explained.
They each bended down to pick up there Kunai up. "This will be no sweat, all the way, Believe it!" Naruto said. "Remember what you said I'm the one who grown the most!"
"Your definitely the one that talk to the most, Get focused and do it!" Kakashi said as he looked down at Naruto.
Everyone laughed.
"He did say that, Ok first I need to draw the chakra to the bottom of his feet" Naruto thought as he put his hands together focusing some of his Chakra to his feet.
"Ok I got this!" Naruto yelled as he ran towards a tree with his teammates following right after him.
Naruto managed to get two steps onto the tree before he fell down off the tree right on his back and he groaned as he rubbed his head in pain.
Sasuke managed to get at least Five steps before he was thrown off the tree, which he managed to do a flip and land onto one of his legs looking back at the tree that he marked.
"You just got to keep at it Sasuke." Mikoto told her son.
"That is what I just about expected for Sasuke and Naruto." Kakashi said as he let out a sigh.
"Hey this is fun!" Sakura said as she sat on the top of the tree smiling at her teammates that looked at her with surprise.
"Amazing chakra control for someone so young." Tsunade praised her future student.
"Well... It looks like the female of this squad, has the most advance Chakra control, well done Sakura." Kakashi said praising his student."
As Sakura smiled at them from where she was.
"Yeah way to go Sakura, I always knew you were awesome, Believe It." Naruto agreed. "but it does sort of tick me off though."
"I would tick me off too, Naruto." Obito says.
"What is that supposed to mean Obito?" Rin asked glaring over at him.
"Whatever." Sasuke said turning away from his teammates.
"I thought Sasuke would be impressed but he mad at me, why is it always like that." Sakura said as her smile fell.
Kushina let out a small laugh at Sakura obsession with Sasuke approval.
"Well not only does Sakura understand Chakra, she can control and maintain as well, We did speak about some one becoming Hokage one day did not we?" Kakashi asked as he looked down at Naruto who was looking up at him surprised. "Well it seems Sakura has a chance at that would you say, and as for the Great Uchiha clan, maybe there not so great after all." Kakashi taunted his students.
"Do not disrespect the clan boy." Fugaku said glaring at Kakashi who flinched slightly.
Sasuke glared at his Sensei.
"That enough, you talk to much Sensei!" Sakura yelled. "Sasuke is going to hate me now."
Sasuke and Naruto exchanged glances.
"I think they are more motivated now, but it is true that Naruto and Sasuke both have far more chakra within, If this training works there mastery of Chakra will come in handy." Kakashi thought.
"Alright First I will match Sasuke, then I'm going all the way to the Top!, Believe It!." Naruto yelled.
"What is with him saying Believe it all the time?" Mikoto asked looking over at Kurama who shrugged his shoulders.
Naruto ran at the tree with full strength managing to get Higher than the last time but still fell on his back.
Sasuke landed on one knee panting heavily, while Sakura laid on the ground Exhausted.
"I'm Totally worn out, how can they keep going like that." Sakura thought as she stared at her teammates
"Oww." Naruto said as he rubbed his throbbing head, then look back to his tree which he barely started to climb upwards.
"Don't give up Naruto!" Kushina and Obito yelled
"Hah, Naruto is not making any progress at all, knowing him he will give up and throw a tantrum." Sakura thought as she smiled amused.
Naruto stood up and yelled and stomped his foot angrily.
"There he goes, he so predictable it is embarrassing." Sakura thought as she saw Naruto coming over to her unexpectedly.
"Hey your good at this, how about some advice." Naruto said, Suprising Sakura speechless. "But Please don't tell Sasuke, please please." Naruto begged.
"That it Naruto learn from your mistakes." Minato said smiling at the blonde.
Sasuke glanced over at his teammates with wonder.
"He catching on, from now on he will only get stronger and stronger, how strong?, After all Naruto contains more Chakra than Sasuke, in fact the amount of chakra he posses Is greater than my own."Kakashi thought as he watched his students.
"Huh, what a waste of time." Inari said as he watch them train before walking away. "They don't know what they are up against." As the picture of his father flashed through his mind.
"He is losing hope." Fugaku said as he looked at Inari with pity.
"Gahhh." Naruto groaned as he fell to the floor once more as he stared up at the tree that he began to climb. "Why is this so hard!" Naruto yelled.
Sasuke panted as he knelled on one knee looking up at his tree. Both Sasuke and Naruto exchanged glances before both jumping up.
"I'm not going to lose out to you." Naruto thought. Before they both started to run back up the trees trying to get higher and higher.
"There going to be rivals until the bitter end, just like Kakashi and Obito." Minato thought to himself as he looked over at his students.
Naruto and Sasuke both ran at the tree once more, but Naruto was the first to fall off but he did manage to get higher than the last time.
"He is still climbing how is that possible?" Naruto thought as he watched Sasuke to continue to climb the tree.
But not long after Sasuke broke away from the tree and began his trip down the trees.
"He is catching up to me inch by inch." Sasuke said as he looked over at Naruto's tree.
"There no way they are actually making this into a competition?" Rin asked.
"There boys it there way of thinking not to lose to one another to prove who is the alpha male." Tsunade told her as Mikoto and Kushina nodded there heads in agreement.
"Are they talking us down?" Obito asked looking over at his sensei.
"I would hope not Obito." Minato says.
Naruto growled. "No, no, no, If I think about Sasuke it will only break my concentration, believe it." Naruto said, "Come on Naruto Center yourself." as he began to think about what Sakura had told him.
"Alright Chakra requires Spiritual energy, so you get all anxious and fantic it won't work, you have to relax and totally focused onto the tree, that how you get a steady Chakra flow at the bottoms of your feet."
"Relax, focus on the tree, yeah I can feel it I'm going all the way this time." Naruto said as started to head towards the tree when Sasuke called out his name. Causing his concentration to break and send him falling to the gound.
"Way to ruin things." Obito said glaring at Sasuke.
"Ah! Sasuke What are you doing!" Naruto yelled glaring at his teammate. "I was trying to focus my Charkra."
"Well uhh... you know the thing is." Sasuke started.
"I don't believe it." Kakashi said as his eye grew wide in surprise.
"What what is happening?" Rin asked.
"The proud Uchiha is about to ask for help." Obito said as his jaw dropped.
"The thing is what?" Naruto repeated crossing his arm as he glared at Naruto. "That strange he never talks to me, what is he up too."
"You know, you know that you asked Sakura for advice when she was here what did she tell you?" Sasuke asked as he turned away from Naruto.
Naruto eyes widen before he broke out into a grin. "I'm not telling you." Naruto said as Sasuke spun around to glare at Naruto.
Everyone laughed at this.
They glared at each other furiously before they headed back.
Naruto!" Sakura called out to her teammate as he and Kakashi looked for there teammates in the woods.
"Knowing Naruto he can be anywhere," Sakura said as she glanced around. "and Sasuke has not came back either, I wonder where they are."
A Kunai knife was thrown and it landed right in front of him. Kakashi and Sakura looked up to see Naruto lounging in the tree.
"He super high!" Rin gaped knowing she would probably never reach that high at her current level.
"Wow! Naruto can climb that high now with using his chakra, that's great." Sakura praised.
"Whatya think high enough for yah, I mean it is a long way down." Naruto said as he jumped up to his feet and slipped off the tree.
"Naruto!" Everyone Screamed.
"Naruto!" Sakura gasped.
"Oh no." Kakashi said as he watched Naruto fall forward. Sakura screamed and clinched her eyes closed.
But Naruto used his chakra to stay upside down on the tree.
"Gahh you boys are just so stupid." Rin said glaring at Naruto as everyone else let out a sigh in relief.
Naruto let out a laugh.
"Just kidding, you guys really fell for it." Naruto said as he began to laugh again.
"We were worried about you Naruto!" Sakura yelled.
"I'm going to strangle you, ChAAA! You dork." Inner Sakura yelled.
"Why Do I think, this is going to end horribly." Kakashi stated. Naruto stood upside down laughing. We his chakra weakened causing him to fall of the tree.
"See this is what he gets for showing off." Tsunade thought as she watched Naruto fall.
"Ahh." Kakashi yelled as his eye widen.
"GAhhh, you just had to push it you showing off." Sakura said. Naruto screamed as he began to fall down.
Sasuke ran up the tree successfully stopping him from falling. "You really are a total loser, Naruto." Sasuke said.
"Sasuke?" Naruto said as he looked up at the young Uchiha.
"AHH! Sasuke! Alright Sasuke your the best." Sakura let out a fangirl screeched.
"If I'm still sane by the time I finish there training it will be a miracle." Kakashi mumbled to himself.
"That is what happens when you try to teach Genin." Minato says.
"I taught you look how you turned out." Jiriya tells him. Everyone said nothing as Minato would not meet his teacher eyes.
Both Sasuke and Naruto sat on two tall trees that touched the big blue sky.
"Lets Go back." Sasuke said.
"Oh, Alright." Naruto agreed.
"Yes they Did it!" Kushina and Mikoto cheered for there sons and Fugaku looked pleased and smiled at Sasuke.
"You did very well my son." Fuagku thought to himself.
A/N: Hey guys did you like the Omake 2? I had this done before anything but I thought I might post this up first. The next chapter will most likely be done by end of this week if everything goes according to plan.
