Characters/Pairings: Mayuzumi Chihiro, Izuki Shun.

Warnings: grammar errors, genderbending, crack-pairing and where the hell are the puns? I swear I keep this one as romantic as possible, but but...

1, Snow

The first thing Mayuzumi noticed when he pulled himself out of bed was that he wanted to crawl back under the blanket to get away from the cold weather. A glimpse of the window at the corner of his eyes, he saw the grey substances clinging to the frame was snow.

Another reason to sleep more, except you had university to attend.

And Mayuzumi acknowledged the existence of snow by grabbing a coat and a pair of boots. He had expected a violent cold, because that would mean no Izuki to bother him. She would overly worry for the eagles in her house, for her mother's health.

By the time he had confirmed that no more snow was expected besides the remarkable foot that had fallen overnight, he was dressed for school and only in a need of lunch.

The frantic ringing of his doorbell made him wonder who could visit him that early in the morning. A dread feeling settled on in his stomach and Mayuzumi let out of a long suffering sign as he opened the door.

"Good morning, sunshine!"

It'd be useless to remind Izuki that his eyes and hair were grey and nothing like sunshine, right?

The outside was too bright for his comfort, and the face in front of him did nothing to help.

"Izuki-san, why are you here?" (Do you have anything to do?) His head quickly ran over any possible explanations for he sudden visit. Maybe it had no reason at all. Because she clapped her hands and exclaimed:

"I'm here to drag you out to this wonderland!"

"You are what?"

"Classes are cancelled." She smiled. "And it'snow a problem because we can't meet. So I figure I could come to your house and spend the whole day as we choose."

He understood it as 'spend the whole day as I choose'. And why did she have to come to his house of all people?

"But why? There isn't enough snow to merit that."

"As I heard, the snow knocked out the power."

"I see. I have thing I need to go -"

"Mayuzumi-san, come out and play!"

A twenty-one year old young man played with the snow? Can you imagine that?

Before his words of refusal could come out, she was tugging him, saying in a speed that he wondered why she had the energy for that: "Come on! Come on! It's packing snow! You need to come out and enjoy yourself! We can have a snow fight or make a snow man or anything!"

He had the feeling that doing anything snow with Izuki-san would leave him wet and miserable by the time he crawled back to his door. It was dread.

"All right." But what was the point in struggling? Her grip was so tight.

"Yeah! You'll have fun! I know you will! This is going to be a great day!" She cried, raced off his porch and into the white snowy world. He shook his head and a vague smile was formed.

Somehow, he couldn't help but believe her.

2, Gratitude.

He didn't need to look up to know the one standing in front of him was Izuki Shun, even though she hadn't made a sound and all he could see over the edge of his light novel was the normal girls' uniform. No girl would suddenly approach him, either they didn't notice his existence or they found him uninteresting.

He had one university year of peace before she came to Tokyo University, and Izuki Shun noticed everything.

"What're you most grateful for?"

Looking up from his novel, he raised an eyebrow: "Pardon me?"

She was smiling, which was never a good sign to him, and dropped herself next to him. "What I said. What're you most grateful for?"

"Do you mind if I ask why you suddenly ask this question?"

"Yes, I do. So Mayuzumi-san has to answer me."

"I see no reason if you don't tell me why."

"Oh, come on." She said, clicking her heels together. "I've just thought of many great things in my life and figured what I'm most thankful for. And I've got curious. What's about the others?"

"Am I the others?"

"Nope. I asked many of my friends, but only my sister took me seriously (Mayuzumi had the feeling he knew why) with the answer 'family'. But then, she's my sister, I've already known."

"Hm."

"So what's about you?" She elbowed his side lightly.

Leaning away from her, he didn't look up from his book. "I haven't thought of that."

"Then let me take a guess." She liked this too much to his comfort. "Um... Light novel?"

"I don't think so." Where did that come from?

She looked really surprised at his answer.

"Basketball?"

"Hardly."

"Sleep?"

He had to look at her disbelieving. "Really?"

"No. But you can help me think, though."

With a roll of his eyes, he resumed reading. Now he thought, she hadn't made any puns yet, and that meant she was serious. In his life, there were two things that he'd been grateful for. First (much to his dismay) was Akashi. Akashi had given him a chance to play basketball.

And there was one to show him that he didn't have to go through life, the first to become his friends.

He closed the novel, "Izuki-san."

"Do you have the answer?"

"Class will start soon. You should go inside."

"I'm going to get an answer from you. Just you wait, Mayuzumean-san."

She hadn't been bored with that pun yet?

"You already did."

"Huh?"

3, All

She's done it all.

She's agonized with friends she trusts most.

She's gone through some extremely painful introspection.

She's taken a pathetic romance compatibility quiz on some fashion magazine.

She's played the stupid love-me-love-me-not game on daisy flower, much to Hyuuga's horror and Riko's amusement.

She's even tell had gypsy tell her predicaments about her future at a fair she went to the summer holiday.

She's done everything, trying to prove her wrong, but the fate really really hates her and every test she took only leads her to a conclusion that she isn't sure if she's ready to take:

That she should give up.

Giving up ignoring her racing heatbeat when he's near.

Giving up trying to deny this need for him.

Giving up telling herself that it's false alarm, that this feeling is going to go away, and free her from its effect.

(She's known this feeling. She used to have this when around Hyuuga, but she was able to keep a poker face. This case was different.)

She's done everything, and it's time to accept the truth.

She's in love with Mayuzumi Chihiro, the last person she expects to fall in love with - not that they aren't close, they're too close that she's afraid that their friendship will be ruined and -

Oh, screw it.

A/n: I think I've captured my writing style for this pairing, YAY!

I know not much people read this anymore (becauseI'vegoneforsososolongandIknowthat) but to people still read, please drop reviews to tell me what you think.

I'm testing myself to improve my writing, after all.
