Hermione stood in front of her full length mirror, frustrated. Again.

She looked at the green dress in her right hand and looked back at the violet blouse she held in her left hand. "Arghhhh" She groaned in annoyance. It's Scorpius birthday today, and of course his Healer Mione was undoubtedly invited. She switched her gazes again on the two pieces of clothing she held in her hands. If she wore the blouse that meant she would have to spend at least another hour in finding pants to go with them, but if she wore the green dress she can already start in taming her hair. But the green dress looks very…..Slytherin.

But you are attending a birthday party in the snake's nest, Hermione. It's kinda fitting isn't it. She thought. Hermione Granger back to the Malfoy Manor…..on her own free will. Who would've thought.

Plus Draco would really appreciate the green dress, since he's been pestering Hermione to show a little Slytherin Spirit ever since Scorpius had first mentioned about the party. Hermione's cheeks blushed pink in the mirror. Where did that thought come from? Seriously, even when he's not here he can make me blush.

Hermione abandoned her wardrobe predicament for a moment, still smarting over her indecent thoughts. Instead she went to her bed and gazed at her gift for Scorpius. She nibbled nervously at her lower lip as she contemplated if Scorpius would even take a second look at her gift. The boy has everything he could ever ask for, shiny broomstick every month, The best tasting sweets, the most expensive toys. How could this little gift hold his attention for a split second? She puffed a sigh and sat heavily on her bed, making the springs rattle. Once again, for the millionth time since Scorpius invited her last month, she thought of not attending the party.

I'd probably look like an idiot. Thinking I belong with Slytherins, She thought. But once again, for the millionth time. She saw Scorpius wide, tearstained eyes. "You said you would come Healer Mione." She could just imagine Scorpius pouting at her. Damn it! Why are men so hard to deal with? Even 4 year olds.

Snap out of it Hermione Granger! You are a Gryffindor for crying out loud, since when are Gryffindors afraid of Slytherins? You are going to go to that scary looking manor and make that little boy's day.

Mustering all her Gryffindor courage, she slipped on the green dress and covered her mirror. She wouldn't want to back out on her decision now, and something tells her that if she took a second look in the mirror, she just might do that.

Draco looked around again in the huddles of crazy toddlers running amok in his mother's beloved garden, instantaneously spotting Scorpius' white locks approaching him.

"Daddy is Healer Mione here yet?"

Draco sighed, it's been the 5th time Scorpius asked that question since the party started and probably the hundredth time he asked since he woke up and it's starting to get on his nerve. Since the time Scorpius woke up, he was already telling Draco about all the fun things they were going to do when she finally arrives.

"Not yet Scorp, just a little bit more waiting." Draco forced a smile.

"Yeah Scorp everyone's excited to see your Healer Mione and if she's as pretty as your daddy makes her out to be." Blaise Zabini interjected with a smirk. Draco glared at his friend, silently cursing him.

"She's really really pretty and intol - inteal – in…"

"Intelligent." Draco finished.

"Yup!" Scorpius agreed.

"That means she knows a lot Uncle Bles." Scorpius smiled.

"And who told you that?" Blaise asked looking at Draco.

"Father of course."

"Well, Father seems to notice a lot about Healer Mione doesn't he." Blaise commented with a wink.

Scorpius laughed. "You eye is all wrong Uncle Bles." Blaise smiled and ushered Scorpius back to his friends, keeping a close eye on Draco.

"Go back to playing with your friends Scorp, I'm sure Father would know if your Healer Mione is already here." Draco's scowl deepened as he contemplated murdering Blaise Zabini.

"So….Healer Mione huh?"

"Shut up Zabini." Draco bit out. Blaise lifted his arms in a sign of surrender and laughed at Draco's nervous face.

"I guess we'll see how it turns out later when she finally comes."

But Draco wasn't paying attention to a single word Blaise was saying, because at that moment Hermione was making her way to him in an innocent looking green dress. Green dress. A little. Innocent looking green dress that just oh so tantalizingly hovered above her knees. Blaise seemed to realize that he was talking to thin air as he turned around and came face to face with Hermione.

"Speak of the devil." Blaise whispered, letting his gaze devour Hermione's soft curves.

Draco didn't like that at all.

"Why don't you go and get yourself a drink Zabini? I have guests to entertain." Draco said brusquely, letting Zabini know that he doesn't want his presence near Hermione. All the while trying to block Zabini's line of sight.

"I'll go get a drink when I want to, Draco. And doesn't this amount to entertaining your guests? I am a guest after all." Zabini answered with a smirk still looking at Hermione as she shyly blushed.

She Should've known wearing the green dress was wrong.

Stupid. Stupid. Stupid.

"And you must be the famous Healer Mione." Hermione nodded, trying to keep her head held high to hide her nervousness. Shake it off Hermione. You've been to school with these people. It's no big deal.

"Yup that's me." Hermione answered with a smile.

Zabini stuck out his hand. "I believe we haven't formally met. Blaise Zabini at your service. One of the most handsome eligible bachelor of the wizarding world. Only second to Mr. Draco Malfoy, and have I mentioned rich? Oh yes, very very rich. Did you know that we own a chain of hotels and villas all around the world? It caters to both wizards and muggles alike - ….."

"Yes very nice Zabini." Draco cut him off. "But I think it's about time the birthday boy finally reunites with his Healer Mione. He has been asking since the moment he woke up about her whereabouts."

"Since the moment he woke up?" Hermione asked startled. Surely that was an exaggeration right?

"That's correct."

"You should've told me. I could've come sooner."

Lies. Lies. Lies

"Yeah well the important thing is that you're here now."

They didn't even have to search for Scorpius, for the moment he spotted Hermione he quickly ran towards them.

"Healer Mione! Healer Mione!" Scorpius shouted flinging his arms around for a hug. At the sound of Scorpius' voice she quickly relaxed and forgot about everything that's bothering her: The green dress, Slytherins, Draco Malfoy, Blaise Zabini, the big scary manor, Draco Malfoy.

"There's my birthday boy."

"Yup! Here I am! Did you miss me? Did you? Did you?"

"I sure did buddy!" Hermione said laughing. This boy is just beyond cute. Draco stood off to the side, watching his son's face light up with laughter at Hermione's presence. How does she even do it? She just seems to know the right things to say and do at the right moment. It's magic.

"She is something man. I wouldn't blame you for going goo goo gaga over her. It's totally understandable" Zabini's voice sounded behind him.

"I'm not going goo goo gaga you prick."

"Whatever makes you happy, man." Draco shoved Zabini laughing all the while.

The man doesn't even know he's got it bad. What a prick. Zabini thought with a smirk.
