(Well they are found out... but for a completely wrong reason...)

The forest was alive, vibrant and wonderful. The rays of Greenleaf were just around the corner, Mousewhisker could feel it. He glanced at his mate who was walking beside him. Cinderheart looked to be thinking rather than enjoying their little stroll. "Are you ok?" He asks her. The grey tabby she cat looked at him with distant eyes.

"I'm fine," she mewed hollowly. "I'm fine," she said again, more strength in her voice. "I was just, thinking."

"Thinking…?" Mousewhisker drew out.

Cinderheart sighed and shook her head. "Nothing, let's rest over there," she suggested and made her way over to a fallen log. It had an opening in it for one to crawl in, yet the sunlight shined through the canopy directly upon it, giving a balance of hot and cold temperature. Both cats slipped thought the log's entrance and lied down, curled around each other.

Mousewhisker proceeded in grooming her pelt. Cinderheart let him, and for a comfortable moment the two were at peace. Mousewhisker purred softly against her back while she thought with half lidded eyes, her own body shivering with light purrs. Occasionally a bug or beetle would pass by and she would swipe at it like kit. Mousewhisker was now lazily cleaning between her ears. Cinderheart flatted her hears against her head and flicker her tail.

"I can't wait until the kits are born," Mousewhisker whispers. He leaned over to softly nuzzle her belly. Cinderheart let him, watching him happily. 'He would make such an amazing father,' she thought with a tinge of regret.

"I can't wait either; I'm just itching because I can't do normal warrior things!"

"All in due time," He mewed. "The kits will be kits, then paws, then warriors, and then you will be a warrior again. Then we can patrol together like always."

Cinderheart hummed in agreement. "Yes, and hopefully then the threat passes and these foreign cat are gone." He said with a little more venom than she wanted to allow.

Mousewhisker gave an alarming look that easily merged into annoyance. "Why don't you like them?"

"You know why I don't like them, they are changing us," Cinderheart sniffed.

"They aren't changing anything about us. If anything they are slightly modifying out fighting style, but it's best to do that then die."

"I know Mousewhisker but…" Cinderheart sighed. "I swear the kits are being too heavily affected. Especially Flamekit."

Mousewhisker bristled slightly. "She's a kit."

"A kit that is straying from her clan's belief. Can't you see that even Jayfeather is changing? He goes hunting, medicine cats aren't supposed to hunt! They are suppose heal the clan and tell prophecies and omens and warn us of danger!"

"Jayfeather is playing a heavy part in this prophecy, he has to hunt. The whole clan is going to war, Cinderheart. That doesn't mean that the medicine cats are excluded."

"But what if he dies? He doesn't have an apprentice and Mudfur won't be with us!" she snapped.

Mousewhisker blinked and looked away for a moment. "Jayfeather is taking Gingerkit as his apprentice, and if not then Leafpool will take his place."

"She is banded from using her skills!"

"But she has used them before. Starclan knows that the clans will have to undergo a change if we are to survive, and these are the changes."

"Because these cats are changing us!" Cinderheart hissed. Mousewhisker pushed down a growl. "What do you expect us to do? Sit here with no intellect or experience whatsoever against them? We will be mice under their attack, helpless!"

"I just don't feel right about it," Cinderheart whispered and tucked her nose under her paw. Mousewhisker sighed and laid his head on her shoulder.

"No one is comfortable with it."

Silence descended on them. The only sound made was the scattering of leaves and the soft movements of grass as their breaths blew on them. "Mousewhisker, there is something else going on in the clan."

"Which is…?"

"I think Cherry and her gang is planning something."

Mousewhisker narrowed his eyes. "No, Cinderheart. I don't want to hear this."

"Mousewhisker please listen!"

"No, I don't want to. You lied to me before Cinderheart."

"But I am not lying this time I swear on Starclan!" she pleaded. Mousewhisker wrinkled his nose in thought. Then, he lightly nodded his head. Cinderheart smiled thankfully to him, but inside she was cackling. This was just what she needed. "I think they aren't here to help us," she started slowly.

Mousewhisker scowled at her. "Do you have any proof of that, real proof?"

"The proof? The proof is all around us every day! Don't you see how long Whitethunder spends at Lionblaze's side, or how he is always there when Bramblestar makes a decision?"

"Whitethunder is a deputy himself, since he isn't around his leader he has to learn from the next source." Mousewhisker defended. Cinderheart stomped her paw.

"No no no! See, this is why we should've never let them in! They've brainwashed you and the whole clan!" Cinderheart spat. "You won't believe the truth until you see it with your own eyes! Why don't you believe me?!"

"You know why I don't believe you!"

Cinderheart stood. "I'm not going to stay here for this. I wanted to come here to talk about important matters that involved the clan, but you are too brainwashed by these cats to see reason. A true mate would listen, but apparently I am not your true mate, so you will have no access to these kits. You will see what I mean eventually, but by then it will be too late!" She waddled away, leaving Mousewhisker staring at her in shock before he stood and scrambled after her.

"Wait Cinderheart, I'm sorry." He mewed and stopped in front of her. The grey tabby huffed and looked away from him.

"No you aren't…"

"No I am I truly am!" "

Cinderheart glanced sideways at him. "Do you mean it?"

"Yes," he whimpered and rubbed his head against hers. "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry…"

Cinderheart smirked at him. Her ears flicked as she heard mewing and silently walked towards it. Mousewhisker followed her with a puzzled expression when she flicked her tail for him to follow her.

~ooo~

Cherry, Whitethunder, Sakura, Leafpool, Lionblaze, Bramblestar and Sandstorm met in the warrior's den. They settled down comfortably in a circle. "How is it going so far?" Bramblestar asked Sakura. The light red she cat purred.

"Great, soon Mousewhisker will be eating out of my paw, then we can enact the final act."

"Hmm," Lionblaze hummed, tail flicking.

"Squirrelflight, I am proud of you."

"Why?" the queen asked grumpily.

Bramblestar nuzzled her. "Because you haven't caused any problems for Icecloud or Mousewhisker yet. The can needs this."

"Yet," Squirrelflight echoed, giving the leader a horrible sense of foreboding. Leafpool and Cherry chuckled.

"How long do you think this is going to go on?" Sandstorm asked.

"Give it three days before the Gathering." Cherry answered.

"A week? You are that confident?"

"Mousewhisker is desperate and easy to manipulate." Sakura shrugged. Bramblestar scowled at her but she brushed it off with a scoff. "It's true! You see how easy he fell for Cinderheart's lie, how easily he accepts my comforts. You got to admit that yourself Bramblestar."

"Sadly," he muttered.

"We have a problem though," Whitethunder rumbled.

Nobody saw the two blue eyes that appeared in a small hole behind him.

"What is that problem?" Cherry asked.

"Cinderheart. She is getting in the way of the plans for the clans. If she keeps acting the way she does it will be found out sooner than later."

Squirrelflight hissed lowly. "That mange! I should've clawed her to pieces when I had the feeling today."

"Hmm, ripping out her tongue would be nice…" Cherry purred deadly, her pupils dilating. Whitethunder glanced down at her with unreadable eyes, his tail twitching in excitement. That sounded like a great idea.

"Very… gruesome thoughts and threats aside, how are we going to get rid of her?" Lionblaze asked.

"Well, we can't get rid of her," Bramblestar muttered. "Cinderheart has been very troublesome in the clans."

"Exile her!" Squirrelflight hissed.

"No, she's with kits! Plus she would have to do something Thornclaw or Tigerstar's caliber, and she isn't even close." Sandstorm said. "Look, all we have to do is wait for her to screw up. It will show and the clan won't like her even more."

"No doubt whatever trouble she is going to be in Mousewhisker will soon follow. He's gullible enough to listen to her." Sakura mewed with a sigh. "While I am doing this I am trying to help him, but it seems like it isn't working."

"Toms will be toms," Sandstorm mewed with a sigh. Whitethunder, Bramblestar and Lionblaze gave her a look, one she returned in amusement.

"So then we wait for whatever she is going to make up, let her embarrass herself and continue on?"

"Yup." The elder said.

Whitethunder nodded his head. "Alright then."

Bramblestar scratched his ear. "Good, now that that is over Lionblaze we will discuss your part…"

~ooo~

Mousewhisker was shocked. Cinderheart smirked in victory. Looks like Starclan was in her favor. "See? They are planning something. I told you!"

Mousewhisker nodded his head numbly, he couldn't believe it. 'They think I'm gullible. I'm not that desperate!'

"Mousewhisker, whatever they are planning we cannot let them finish it." She stared at him with piercing blue eyes. "We cannot." Mousewhisker looked at her with a blank expression and nodded again. Cinderheart smiled at him. "We are doing this for the clan…and…Thornclaw was right." Mousewhisker blinked. Cinderheart continued with a gleam in his eyes. "He was, Leafpool is a traitor and Bramblestar isn't fit to be leader of Thunderclan. He needs to die. Both of them need to die."

Mousewhisker felt his heart stop inside. Die? Both of them? 'No, they can't die.'

"A-alright…" he agreed hesitantly.

"See? I told you I was right." She whispered and walked past him, into the camp. Mousewhisker followed her, lost in thought.

'I'm not gullible,' he thought to himself. But if he followed Cinderheart then that proved them right. 'But if I don't, she will keep my kits from me...' His eyes burned in determination. 'I'll find out what's really going on. Then I will make a decision.'
