Hi all! Merry Christmas!

It's been awhile since I updated and I'm really sorry about that :( I had finals and then Christmas break which I spent with my family and friends so it's been a really busy time for me. GOOD NEWS THOUGH! I am part of my university's dean's list! how cool is that! All those sleepless nights weren't actually for nothing! Hope y'all like this update!

In the last chapter, Hermione took Draco and Scorpius to her parents' house as a stopover before their actual vacation. I asked you guys to guess where in the world they're going and you guys really came up with awesome suggestions! I had so much to choose from and I really wanted to use all your ideas but sadly i cant :(

SOOOOOOO HERE WE GO AND HAPPY READING!

Draco breathed in the fresh Hawaiian air while stretching his arms high above his head. A slow smirk formed on his lips as he took in the wide expanse of the beach that they have all to themselves so early on in the morning. From a distance he can spot Scorpius and Hermione hunting for shells, bathed in the early rays of the sun.

Now this is the life, he thought to himself.

After a 2 day pit stop in the Granger household, he finally got the vacation that he wanted from the very start.

As much as he enjoyed talking about muggle cars with Henry Granger and helping Jane set up the table, he'd really rather just play with Hermione and Scorpius in the beach the whole day and make love to Hermione the whole night. And now that they were finally in paradise, Draco bid goodbye for now to his tough no nonsense business ego and welcomed in the love and happiness from his family.

A small smile broke free from his lips when he heard Scorpius' giggle some distance away. He watched as the small waves of the morning started to nip at Scorpius' ankles making him run and cling on to Hermione as a desperate attempt to save himself from the morning waves. This in turn made Hermione start giggling as well, almost spilling the bucket of shells they've collected the whole morning from scouring the stretch of the beach.

Scorpius had barged in into their room at an ungodly hour to wake them up and to drag Hermione into picking shells. Draco still haven't stopped thanking Merlin yet that his son didn't come into the room while they were in the middle of something or that they were both decently dressed when he came skipping in.

"The best shells are the morning shells!" he had claimed enthusiastically while Hermione was dressing him into a more appropriate outfit before they invaded the beach. Draco had offered to go with them but Scorpius had vehemently asked him to stay put in their villa to "protect the other shells" that they had already collected the last couple of days. Protect from what? He doesn't really know. But nevertheless he still obeyed his son's wish and stayed put.

Someday soon, he really had to stop saying yes to Scorpius all the goddamn time. Merlin knows his kid was already too spoiled as it is. But sadly, that day just hasn't come yet for Draco. And now here he was on the porch of their two storey villa overlooking the beach, waiting for his woman and his son to come back inside to eat breakfast with him. He smiled as he glanced at the dining table inside which was already overflowing with the food that he cooked just minutes ago. He can still remember the time when Hermione was still teaching him how to turn on the stove and make basic dishes the muggle way. He had burned himself a handful of times by merely forgetting to use the kitchen mitts or by accidentally slicing his finger in the process of chopping the ingredients manually. But Draco didn't dare complain through any of these as his Healer Mione was always there to heal and kiss his cuts and burns. And now, a couple of months later, he's actually enjoying himself and is now finding peace in the kitchen as he experiments with all kinds of recipes.

Draco Malfoy interested in muggle cooking. Who would've thought?

His smirk notched up to a full blown smile as he heard Hermione's twinkling laugh cut through the early morning. He watched for a couple of minutes as Hermione and Scorpius tried to snatch a particularly pretty shell from the grasp of the small waves while trying to avoid getting too wet. Of course, they still ended up ruining their clothes and getting almost their whole bodies wet and caked with sand, but through all of these they still managed to rescue the shell and add it to their already growing pile. Scorpius whooped in triumph while Hermione stood up and waved at Draco.

Draco stared transfixed for a while as he took in the sight of Hermione on the beach. He took the time to absorb her wide smile, her slightly wet white dress which was now clinging to her figure, her golden brown hair framing her face with the early sun's rays creating a halo. It was still a bit unruly, reminding him how she had looked a few hours ago while still lying on their bed wearing nothing but a sleepy smile which was all for him.

The last thing he took in was her slender hand waving at him. His eyes roaming over her small wrist leading to her fingers. But what stood out the most to him was her otherwise bare ring finger that he soon wanted to be the pride of place of his ring.

Now, Draco Malfoy had never really believed in the whole idea of marriage. He saw marriages as political endeavors that are essential in bonding family businesses and maintaining a high status in wizarding society in the aspect of wealth and blood. He scoffed at wizards who claim that love was the reason why they were marrying their spouses. For Draco that was just a giant pile of dragon dung. You don't marry anyone just because you love her. You marry someone because you can benefit something from her and she can help you maintain your multi - million galleon business.

Well at least that was how marriage was presented to him since the beginning of time. And when he had finally gotten married himself, he experienced firsthand that all these ideas that were already planted in his head actually had a ring of truth into them.

Astoria was the perfect trophy wife who came complete with a huge gringott's vault and a pretty face. Whenever there was a glitzy celebration in the wizarding world, they were usually the favorite pair of the gossip columns to write about. They assess what the pair of them were wearing, how they move and even what they eat. Countless headlines and photos will show an enamored Astoria clinging and looking up at Draco's unsmiling face looking straight on to the camera.

And maybe Astoria had loved him, he wasn't really sure. The only sure thing he knows is that he had never felt and known what love truly was until Hermione came. He doesn't want to cheapen what he currently have with Hermione with a bond such as marriage that he deemed insincere as was projected by his past. Not to mention that he was already so comfortable with their current disposition that he didn't even dare dream that there was something more that he can do to establish their love and loyalty to each other.

But that was before they spent a few days with the Grangers.

Even within just 2 days he was able to witness firsthand that you can indeed have a marriage that is so full of love and trust. He can sense it with every little thing that the Grangers said and did. There was an easy familiarity between Henry and Jane that can only be brought about by spending each waking moment with the person you cherish the most. They had inside jokes and sweet moments where it seemed like the only person that existed for them was the other. He would always catch them sharing little side glances and holding hands whenever they were near each other. Henry would always take hold of Jane's hand and place a kiss on her wedding ring whenever he gets the chance.

Draco had always known within himself that he wanted a kind of easy intimacy with Hermione, and yes to an extent they have achieved this aleady. But lately he had been consumed with the need to bind himself to Hermione and to show the world that she is exclusively his alone. It was such a new emotion for him that it shocked him so much and took him quite some time to fully comprehend that the love he was feeling for Hermione was so strong that it's encompassing all the hatred that he had grew up with. But as much as he wanted to marry her right this very second, he knows that Hermione is worth more than just a quick trip to Vegas. She deserves a memorable proposal from him and Scorpius and an even more beautiful wedding that will echo their love and stay with her forever. Not to mention that Draco still hasn't decided on what ring he would get for her. He wanted a ring that will capture their love perfectly, a ring that's not too big that Hermione would be uncomfortable wearing it but at the same time not too small that people wouldn't miss it whenever they take a glimpse at her left hand.

Draco tried to drag his gaze away from Hermione who was still loitering at the beach, scouring for shells as he took a deep breath to try and contain his excitement and at the same time sort through the thousands of ideas running through his head. He continued to watch Hermione and his son playing around in the sand, both of which had no idea just how much things are going to change for the three of them soon.

"Swim! Swim! Swim!" Scorpius chanted nonstop from his high chair beside Draco who was calmly reading the Daily Prophet. Hermione only laughed as she continued eating the cheese omelet that Draco had prepared for them for breakfast. Cheese omelet was the food of the week for them since it was Scorpius favorite dish at the moment. Draco had taken it to himself to learn different variations of cheese omelet to keep Scorpius happy and at the same time help the two of them stay sane as they have cheese omelettes for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

"We've been swimming non stop since we got here, little love. Aren't you tired of the beach? I'm sure we can find other things to do." Hermione asked Scorpius with a smile.

"No! No! No! I want to swim! Swim! Daddy tell mummy we swim now!" he answered while bouncing on his chair, banging his small fists on the table.

Draco good-naturedly rolled his eyes at his excited son.

"Just let him swim the day away, love. He's not going to stop buggering us about it if we don't say yes."

Hermione cleared her throat loudly and pointedly looked at Draco with calculating eyes.

"Draco, love, can I please talk to you in the next room please."

"Oh nooooooooo daddy you are in trouble!" Scorpius cooed while laughing.

"What? What did I do?"

"In the next room please, Malfoy." Hermione huffed as she exited the room.

Draco followed her out to the living room, keeping a few steps behind her as his eyes were firmly glued to her ass the whole time. His eyes made its way up to meet Hermione's in a slow ascent as she finally faced him with her arms crossed.

"Seriously Malfoy?"

"Oh now we're back to Malfoy."

Hermione just rolled her eyes and continued,

"We talked about this! We shouldn't just always agree to everything Scorpius wants. It isn't healthy for him and he's going to grow up a spoiled and unruly child if this continues."

Draco gave out a sigh and dragged Hermione into his embrace, keeping his hands on her ass.

"You know I find it hard to say no to him. I just want to give him - and you - the whole world."

Hermione's body melted upon his as her hands made their way to his jaw.

"I know, love. And I love you all the more for that. But you have to understand that our son needs to learn some lessons for himself. We don't need you to give us the world, your love is more than enough for us."

Hermione's eyes were shining with so much genuine love that Draco found it hard to find the right words to reply back. He just opted to nod and take her hand as they made their way back into the kitchen where their son was waiting for them.

The three of them chose to stroll through a local market near their villa to pass the time and try to show Scorpius that there are indeed other kinds of food other than cheese omelettes. They hopped from one stand to the next, each of them just as colourful as the last one. Fruits were displayed vibrantly on tables; pineapples were all lined up, rambutan and papayas were stacked high in piles, bananas, mangoes and all kinds of fruits were all sitting side by side just waiting for the buyers to take them home.

They spent quite some time in a particular stand selling light dresses where both Draco and Scorpius had made Hermione try on every dress they deemed pretty. In the end, they walked away from the store with Hermione owning about 10 new dresses and a couple of eclectic Hawaiian jewellery all locally made.

Hermione also made sure that her two men got in touch with their island spirit by buying them floral shirts and light shorts. Draco put up a small fuss over the red floral shirt, claiming that she was trying to force her gryffindorness into his slytherin majestic self, in which Hermione only rolled her eyes and explained that the store ran out of the green ones. Scorpius, however was happy with anything and chose an orange coloured one because it reminded him of "the orange fruit!".

The locals were kind enough to help them shop for some fresh fish and meat in the market as well. They were even happy to teach Draco some simple dishes that he can cook for later when they're back in their villa, dishes that will showcase the Hawaiian produce they just bought and will make them fall in love with Hawaii even more.

"Molly and I used to scour the markets together for the Weasley gatherings. She would always take me shopping with her since Ginny was always out and about with the boys. She would share her recipes and cleaning tips with me." Hermione reminisced with a laugh, the memories coming to her with a tinge of sadness.

"I think a reason why I'm able to connect with a lot of my patients at St. Mungo's was because of how she taught and showed me so much compassion through the years. If a stranger can take me in as a daughter and offer me everything she has, then maybe I can do the same for a lot of people as well. If you think about it, being a healer requires a lot of love for it to feel worthwhile. Healing can be very tedious process once the years and the patients start piling up. But I think because of my family, the Weasleys, Harry, and now you and Scorpius, I never saw healing as an occupation, I see it as another outlet for me to help and spread love by being the best healer I could be."

Hermione sniffed and whispered, "It just feels horrible to think that all of you can't get along and I might have to choose among all of you when the time comes."

Draco smiled and took her into his arms, "That'll never happen, love. You'll see when we get back, everything will be alright. If they're very important to you, then I'll make it a point to give them a chance -" Draco swallowed. "- and get to know them. I'll even go with you to their brunch. Maybe accompany you and uh - Molly to the market."

Hermione lit up with happiness and kissed Draco fiercely in one loud smack. Her small magic handbag containing all the things they bought clanging loudly at her side.

"You don't know how much this means to me, Draco! They're really great people! Oh! you'd love them!" she gushed.

"I'm sure I will." Draco grimaced as they continued walking through the maze of vendors.

Hermione couldn't keep the small skip from her step as she once again took in the bustling marketplace with a happy heart. She glanced up at Draco with a huge smile with her heart feeling impossibly full with love and happiness.

She knows just how hard it was for him to initiate the first step of reconciliation. He was after all taught to hate these people for most of his life, And the fact that he did it for her because he knows that they mean a lot to her, made the gesture mean even more to her.

She couldn't keep in her happiness as she pressed a kiss to Scorpius' leg who was currently sitting atop of Draco's wide shoulders, surveying the market with wide calculating eyes. Draco looked down at her with a teasing smirk playing on his lips and his silver eyes shining with amusement at her exciement.

"This is something to behold huh?" he said, gesturing to the loud market.

Hermione smiled and answered him without taking her eyes off of him, "Yup, it sure is."

Thank you Flo-raison, Kats02980416 and many others for suggesting Hawaii!

Again, thank you so much to all of you who have suggested all those amazing places. I really liked the idea of them going to Disneyland and it was such a close fight between that and Hawaii (sadly I've never been to either) But in the end I chose Hawaii since I live in a tropical country and can relate to some of the things there. But think I might use the Disneyland idea for another story or maybe another chapter we'll see hahaha! I decided to take them to Hawaii since it's a really awesome place and such a far cry from England. I think the two of them would appreciate a few days away from everything that'll remind them of the fiasco they left behind even for a little while. I also decided to write about a market place since I find places like that really eclectic and full of stories from different kinds of people. I also decided to sneak in the cheese omelet bit since I'm obsessed with cheese omelet right now lol

Thank you so much for all the love and support. You guys are incredible! Feel free to drop by and review to tell me what you think :)

I hope all of you are having fun and eating a lot this holiday break and that you are able to spend this downtime with the people you love and those who matter the most to you!

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

xoxo
