CH.3: Heart

Four sand shinobi jumped through the trees to reach the leaf village. Gaara kept his eyes ahead throughout the journey Sakura was perched on his shoulder holding tightly so as not to fall off. They were trying to get there before sun down for the chunin exams.

Kankuro looked to Baki "how long?".

The older male did not look at him when he answered only dead ahead "five minutes".

True to his word they reached Konoha in five minutes. After showing the papers to the ninja at the gates to enter the village, Gaara left them there much to their protest. Gaara sat on a temple that was not far from the kage tower. Sakura rested on his lap his fingers were running over her soft pink fur. "Sakura" he called, all he got was a meow from the cat as if asking 'what'. "What can you tell me about Konoha? You where from here won't you?" he asked Sakura jumped off Gaara lap.

She glowed pink before taking a human shape of a girl his age with long pink hair that went to her knees, was wearing a white loltia kimono with a red obi and the same red collar around her neck he gave her all those years ago. "Yes Gaara I was I don't remember much about the village" she purred before sitting in his lap nuzzling his neck, Gaara just ran his fingers through her hair.

"What do you remember?" she looked into his teal eyes before running one of her fangs down his pale neck this made him shiver.

She then pulled away and gave him a toothy grin "I remember someone with blond hair sitting at a swing and then feeding me fish ramen" she then titled her head to the side cutely in confusion "but I don't remember who it was?".

Gaara stared down at Sakura whiles stroking behind her twitching black cat ear this made her purr in delight. That is when thought came to the red head "Sakura how did you end up in Suna?".

Sakura sighed "you're so full of questions" Gaara just chuckled at her annoyed face that she gave him. Sakura let out another sigh before making a thinking face "let's see I remember a bunch of guys cashing me… and then falling".

Gaara frowned "who were they?".

She shrugged "I don't know. I then woke up in Suna in a cart".

Gaara shakes his head, then another thought came to him "how do you feel about destroying the leaf?".

Sakura was about to answer but stopped when her ears twitch she hissed then looked to Gaara "your siblings are coursing trouble". Gaara growled in anger and stood up Sakura turned back into a cat before running up Gaara arm to take her place on his shoulder like always. Gaara did a couple of hand signs then disappeared in a whirl of sand.

The first thing Gaara saw was his idiot brother was holding some kid up off the ground, his sister was standing next to him looking displeased, he then looked to where his siblings were looking to see two ninjas one boy one girl and two little kids hiding behind them. Gaara let out angry sigh "stupid brother" Sakura meowed in agreement making Gaara smirk.

Gaara was about to make himself shown but he felt another chakra appear across the tree from him, he looked to see a boy with back him who then throw a pebble at his brother hand making him drop the kid who ran to hide behind the blond. Gaara raised a none existed eyebrow at the boy's skill "not bad" he whispered to himself but Sakura snorted at this making Gaara chuckle quietly she just nipped his ear to make him shut up but this didn't stop him… if anything he found it cute.

Kankuro glared at the male who throw a pebble at him "who do you think you are you punk?".

Sasuke jumped down in front of the sand and leaf ninjas "you should pick on someone your own size".

Naruto stepped forward "Sasuke I could have handled him".

Sasuke scoffed "tch sure you could of".

Kankuro looked like he didn't like being ignored "I am going to teach you brats a lesson" he reached behind his back.

Temari gaped "you're going to use that now?".

Kankuro only smirked "we got a couple of minutes before he gets here".

Sakura scoffed at that 'only if they knew' she meowed at Gaara telling him they need to intervene before something bad happened.

Gaara couldn't agree more he in a whirl of sand he was gone and appeared in the middle of the ninjas. He looked to his brother straight away "Kankruo you are disgrace to our village".

Kankruo looked at his brother in shock " it wa…was-?"

"Shut up or I will kill you" Gaara didn't want to hear it he then looked to leaf ninjas "I am sorry for my brother" .

Naruto looked on the sand guy's shoulder to see a pink fur animal then he recognized the cat "hey what are you doing with that her?!" he yelled and asked.

Gaara growled at him "she is none of your concern" Sakura licked his cheek trying to calm him down.

Sakura did take a close look at the blond… wait blond hair 'could it be him?' she thought.

Naruto was about to speak but Sasuke spoke first "what is your name?".

Gaara looked at him before speaking "Gaara" he then turned his head at Sasuke "I am wondering what is your name too?".

Sasuke stood straight "Sasuke Uchiha" he spoke with such pride it made Sakura roll her eyes Gaara had to hide a smirk at this.

Gaara then made to leave "hey you want to know my name?" Naruto asked but Gaara didn't even look at him.

"No" he and his sibling left to the hotel they were staying at. Which led to now Gaara was sitting on his bed his back against the headboard, Sakura sat on top of desk licking her paws she stopped when she realized Gaara looked lost in thought. Gaara looked to her "Sakura?" he called she jumped to the floor whiles making her way to him she transformed into her human self, she then crawled on the bed sexily making Gaara lick his lips.

She nuzzled his neck "yes" she purred this made Gaara blush.

Gaara just gulped and looked away "nothing".

Sakura hissed and grabbed his chin to make him look at her "is this about that Sasuke guy?".

Gaara let out a sigh "yes" he then looked into her cat green eyes "Sakura he has the same eyes as me…hate anger and…betrayal" he whispered the last part but Sakura heard it.

Sakura griped Gaara face between her hands "hey don't you dare think you're both the same. That guy is a prick" she then ran her nose across Gaara cheek "you have a heart unlike that ass" she pulled away to look into his teal eyes "I can tell that he will betray his friends in a heartbeat whiles you won't".

Gaara smirked at Sakura "you do realize that you're the only one I have a heart for, right".

Sakura smirk as well before licking and nipping his neck making Gaara groan "don't I know it" she giggled before she went back to biting his neck.

Gaara just growled and pulled her closer to him 'you mean more to me than anything Sakura' he thought.
