"Dimitri! Dimitri, wake up!" I heard Lissa's voice and pounding on the door. I jumped out of bed and ran to the door.

"What's wrong?" I asked taking time to see if there were any cuts or bruises on her. There was no damage done to her.

"We might have got a lead on Tasha and Robert." With that we both took of running as fast as we could down the court hallways. I burst through the doors looking around and saw Adrian, Christian, and Alberta all staring at one of the computers.

"Dumbass used her actual phone to make a call about an hour ago. They are somewhere in Las Vegas." Adrian spoke up and Christian looked almost sick. His aunt was one of the most wanted people and now she was out of prison. I didn't know what to say to him but now wasn't the time.

"Ok. Any word from Rose?" I couldn't keep the worry out of my voice. Lissa's smile fell and they shook their heads. "We're making progress."

Alberta smiled softly before turning back to the computer. A confused expression crossed her face as she stared at the computer.

"What is it?" I asked and leaned forward.

"I think it's for you." She said and had a grin on her face. I leaned forward to see that it was an email.

Well you really know how to make your girlfriends disappear, Belikov. She's safe though, well as safe as you can be with Janine but you know what they say: life is a gamble.

"That is so Abe it is unbelievable." Christian said and Lissa laughed.

"Life's a gamble?" I was confused for a moment before I realized what he was saying. "They're in Las Vegas." I pulled my phone out and immediately tried Rose's cell.

Her voicemail picked up and I hung up the phone and dialed Janine. She picked up on the first ring. "Guardian Hathaway."

"Is she there?" I asked and didn't bother for casualties. I knew she knew who it was.

"Yes, she's here. Is everything ok?" she kept her voice calm but even behind the guardian façade I could hear a slight tinge of worry.

"Robert and Tasha are in Vegas. They might be close…" Christian grimaced as he looked at the screen.

"Closer than I'd like. They are in the same hotel." Lissa glared at the computer before turning to me.

"You guys need to get out of there and head back to court as soon as possible. But be careful about it." Something hitting the floor pulled me back to reality and when I looked up, Adrian was passed out in the floor.

I hid behind one of the trees that I knew would probably disappear at any moment, but between Robert trying to set a clear space and me trying to keep as many woods as possible to have trees to hide behind, they were fading in and out.

"Rosemarie, come on. Part of being a guardian is accepting what you've done wrong and facing the punishment for it." I could almost see the smile on his face.

"You can't kill me in a spirit dream you arrogant bastard." I ducked behind another tree and my baby kicked lightly and I prayed that what I'd said was true.

"We don't know that. But I'm more than happy to test that theory." I felt my stomach twist in nausea and began to try and think of different places to hide before realizing that all of the places I thought of would disappear if I wasn't careful.

"There you are you little bitch." He said and grabbed me by my hair pulling me to my feet. I refused to give him the satisfaction of me screaming, but as much as it hurt I was not going to cry out.

"Rose?" I looked over to see Adrian looking up at us.

"Don't do anything stupid. I just want her dead but I have no problem killing you to." Robert growled and I felt the fear and panic run through me. Fear for my baby, fear for Adrian, fear for Lissa, Christian, and Dimitri. Fear for myself? No.

I turned around and broke his nose and fell out of the spirit dream, feeling the bed I'd fallen asleep in under me. I looked down and put my hand over my stomach and my mom came rushing with the phone in hand.

"Rose, honey, are you ok?" she asked and looked for any cuts or bruises and I shook my head out of her grasp.

"I'm fine. Who's on the phone?" I had to be sure Adrian was ok. I hoped that if I was out, so was he.

"It's Dimitri. Why?" I shook my head as she finished.

"Never mind but tell him to put Adrian on." she looked at me confused before telling Dimitri and handing me the phone.

"Hey, what the hell just happened and are you ok?" he asked and I laughed at his concern.

"Yeah I'm fine. Is Dimitri still there?" I asked and wasn't really sure if I wanted the answer or not. I had to face him sometime though and running just wasn't smart and the worst he could do was yell.

"Yeah. Here he is."

"What are you thinking, Rose? Are you hurt? What happened?" he was asking someone questions I couldn't help but smile and then the baby kicked reminding me that this wasn't really a laughing matter.

"Baby, I'm fine. I was pulled into a spirit dream but we're ok. Any luck finding Robert?" I asked and he went silent for a moment.

"Rose, please come home. If not for me, then for the baby. I can't raise our baby by myself and I can't risk losing both of you." His voice cracked slightly and I couldn't help the guilt that rushed over me.

"You have to promise me something. If I come home, you have to let me help. I can't stand back and watch you get hurt." I put as much force as possible in my voice, but also as much love and kindness I could. There was no way I was going to sit on the sideline. Not again.

"Ok." he finally said and I hung up and grabbed my clothes.

I walked into see my parents sitting on the sofa. Abe had an arm wrapped around my mom and I smiled. "I'm so glad I'm heading home."

Abe laughed and replied "Just make sure you stay there. That boy cares a lot about you." I smiled and nodded.

"I know he does." I turned to my mom. "Love you."

"I love you too, sweetie." She said and I closed the door and rushed down to my truck. I pulled out my cell and called Dimitri back.

"Hey, are you ok?" he asked and I put the car in drive.

"Yes, I'm ok. I'm heading home and I figured I'd talk to you till I got to the airport." I was still a little shaken due to the Robert Duro dream but there was no way in hell I was going to tell him that.

"Ok. Are you mad at me?" he asked and I could tell from his voice that he hadn't had much sleep in the past few days.

"Depends. How much sleep have you gotten the past few days?" I asked and he growled.

"That's not funny. I have been worried sick about you and your already trying to make jokes." I rolled my eyes at his tone.

"I could turn right around and head back. I leave for a few days and your sleep deprived and in a really bad fucking mood."

He sighed and then answered. "I'm sorry. I'm just stressed and tired, love." But even then there was a little aggravation in his voice.

"Is it just stress and lack of sleep or is it something else?" I asked hinting at the strong possibility of maybe there was a little frustration that involved a lack of physical contact.

"That's it." I laughed at his almost shy tone.

"You know, I've got a while till I get to the airport. Maybe I could help you. If it is something else." I grinned and heard him groan.

"That's going to have to wait till later, Roza." He said and I smiled. "I hate that you're so far away."

"I know. I've missed you." he laughed softly and the sound was more like music than anything.

"I've missed you too. Have you thought of any names for the baby?" he asked and I laughed.

"Surprisingly, yes. You?"

He waited before answering. "I've thought about a few."

"Well, ok, lay them on me." the rest of the trip went like that. discussing our blessings name as I continued to drive to the airport.

***So I'm back. so sorry about the long wait you guys. I hope your all still loving the story and I still haven't decided on a baby name yet but there are a few of your request that I have liked and am considering but I'd love some more suggestions. R&R and much love to the reviews I've had.
