In the middle of the night by 2 AM, Elly got up to get a glass of water before going back to bed. However, before she goes into the kitchen, she heard an argument between her best friend, Nami, and her parents, Erich and Medena. She opened the door a little bit to see it.
"Look, Erich, Medena, I can read what Elly is feeling right now. She shouldn't be with the Gebler soldiers," Nami argued as she slams the table with her two hands.
"What do you mean by that?" Erich demanded.
"Elly, she doesn't like doing things those other soldiers are doing."
"Why not? That's her life job!"
"No, it isn't, Erich! It's a nightmare for her! Did you know about her using the 'Drive'? She doesn't want that! She doesn't want to fight some guy she just met on the forest! Same here when I interfered on that fight! Do you want your daughter living in that prison for the rest of her life?"
As much as they don't want to admit it, both Erich and his wife were all guilty on this kind of argument so they look down as a sign.
"Just as I thought..." Nami confirmed their guilt.
"So, what do you propose, Nami?" Medena asked with guilt while holding her arms.
"I want Elly to leave the country. I can take care of her. Besides, we both made a promise that if we have nowhere to go, we'll take care of each other. In fact, I'm under the care of the Straw Hat Pirates. I can assure you that we can protect Elly," Nami explained while clasping her hands.
Elly looks stunned on what her childhood proposed on. She wanted her to leave the country with her so that she can be free from her responsibilities as a Gebler soldier.
"So you heard them," a voice stated and she turns around to see Robin behind her. "Don't worry. I won't tell them you eavesdropped on their argument."
"Well, Nami, if that's the way it is, then do what you must," Medena accepted the proposal with tears on her eyes.
"Same here," Erich accepted it as well.
"Good, we'll leave by tomorrow morning," Nami stated.
Meanwhile...
"So, Elly, what is your decision? To stay in Solaris or..." Robin started.
Elly thought back on what is happening on the past days; her meeting with Fei by the forest, fighting him while under the influence of the 'Drive', Nami butting in to the fight, getting her true self back to save her from falling, reconciling with Nami after their fight, being comforted by her in the night by the same forest they've met, and being told by the pirate one thing...
"If you can't leave this place because it's your only home, then just leave the military," Nami said in the flashback.
As she looked into the memories, the Gebler soldier makes her choice.
"I made my choice. I'm leaving Solaris by tomorrow morning," she said. Just as the brunette pirate looks with no emotion, she smiled at this choice.
"Just as I thought. Now, let's get some sleep," Robin said as she goes back to the bedroom to sleep.
"Um, Robin?"
"Yes?"
"Thanks," Elly said with a smile.
"No problem, Elly," Robin added with a smile as well.
As they went back to sleep, they know what happens tomorrow will be the day to leave the floating continent known as Solaris.
