I checked my watch again, looking at the time and couldn't concentrate on anything. Roza and Lissa had been gone for at least two hours now and the panic was starting to set in.
"Dude, kicking your ass at a video game would be nice if you'd pay attention." I turned to Christian who was smirking but I could see that he had the same worry in his eyes.
"I know. They were supposed to be back 30 minutes ago. I'm starting to worry." I said and he nodded and pulled out his phone.
"Hey babe, I— " Lissa cut him off and the look of relief disappeared from his face as she continued to talk. "Ok, we'll be there as soon as we can. Get somewhere safe and we'll be there in a little bit."
He hung up the phone and I felt my heart drop. "What's happened?" I asked and Christian grabbed his keys and I had my hands already on my stake and gun pulling them into my duster.
"Rose is missing." And with that I grabbed the keys from his hand and raced to the car.

The drive seemed like an eternity and as much as I tried, I couldn't come up with a good escape plan. The car was moving and, due to my pregnancy, there was no way in hell I could jump out. There wasn't a likely chance that they would stop for anything and my phone was gone so I couldn't call for help. There was no way in hell I was going to get out of here without a bit of violence. Normally, that's the first thing I'd do. Now that I was pregnant I had to be careful.
Tasha putting her hand on my baby pulled me out of my thoughts for an escape plan. I didn't notice and I didn't even think about it, but her head had turned to the side for a split second while she put a hand on her red cheek where I'd slapped her.
"Keep your fucking hands off my baby!" I growled and she simply smiled.
"Don't worry. I won't have to wait too long. I'll take good care of the baby and Dimitri after your gone." I punched her and had the pleasure of hearing something break.
"Stop it!" Robert said and stopped the car to reach back and pull us away from each other. There was my chance. He was stopped on the side of the road and I ran out of the car as fast as I could.
"Come back here, you little bitch!" Tasha screamed and I could hear footsteps following.
"You're just making it worse for yourself, Rosemarie." Robert said and I could tell he was just pacing along. I wasn't going to make it very far but I hoped it be far enough to find some help or at least put some distance between us.

I tried her cell again and had another unavailable message. Lissa ran to us as we got out of the car, tears streamed down her eyes as she threw herself at Christian.
"I'm sorry. I don't know what happened. She went to get something out of her car and said she'd only be a minute. We we're going to meet up for lunch and I waited thirty minutes before coming to find her and—"
"Liss, it's ok. Calm down. We're going to find her." Christian interrupted her and I looked down at my phone. There was no new messages, which meant Rose was still in trouble and the other guardians hadn't found anything either.
I turned to Lissa, tears rolled down her face as Christian tried to comfort her. "He's right. We will find her." I put a hand on her arm, trying to offer a little comfort.
She nodded once before getting into the car. I slid into the car and put the keys in the ignition. I hoped we would find her and more than anything I hoped she was ok.

I leaned against one of the trees as I tried to catch my breath. I couldn't see Tasha or Robert and didn't know if that was a god or bad thing. They couldn't see me but I couldn't see them. I grabbed a large stick for something to keep close by. I knew it wouldn't help much but it was something. All I needed was enough distance between us and or a phone to get to.
I put my hand over my baby and silently prayed that we'd make it out of this alive. I raised the stick as I heard something crushing the leaves behind me. I turned to see nothing and hoped that I was just hearing things. No, I wasn't ever that lucky.
I felt someone's arms wrap around my neck, not squeezing but this person wasn't dhampir. I felt the oxygen being pulled from my body. The world started to blur but I continued to kick whoever was holding me. This can't be it. I'm not ready to tell die. Tears fell from my face as the world started to turn into black shapes.
The last thing I saw before I blacked out was Tasha's vicious smile and Robert's amused expression.
***CLIFF HANGER! Looks like someone is helping Tasha and Robert. Who could that be? Maybe someone we forgot? R&R and so sorry about not updating sooner. Things have been hectic around here lately. I WILL FINISH THIS STORY!
