This is it. This is the epilogue.
I wanted to keep it short and sweet and I'm sorry I made you guys wait so long for it because I had such a horrible semester this year.
I want to thank each and every one of you for taking the time to read my story even though it's not perfect in any way. I'm sorry I'm rubbish at updating, my grammar is horrible, and some scenes are too cheesy and just plain bad lol.
I never thought my story would get this much love and I am so thankful for this opportunity to be heard.
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
"Psst. Are you there?"
Hermione was slowly woken up from her nap by a soft whisper.
"Daddy, Are you sure the baby sister is inside?" Scorpius whispered again.
"I'm pretty sure, buddy." came Draco's amused answer.
"But no one's answering."
"Well the baby can't talk yet, but I'm sure she'll listen to you."
Hermione tried her best to stop her grin and continued feigning sleep as she felt Scorpius lean in close to her rounded stomach once again.
"Ok I hope you are listening, baby sister. Remember our talk a few months ago when I asked you to stop making mummy vomit everywhere? Well, I'm really happy you listened to your big brother. But now we have another problem." Scorpius paused and sighed. "I heard from daddy that you will be making mummy hurt so much when you decide to get out of the tummy. I don't know how you are getting out but I just want to ask you to not make mummy hurt when you do it. Our mummy is strong and she is the best Healer Mione in the world but please don't hurt her ok?"
Hermione couldn't help a few wayward tears from flowing down her tears. Stupid pregnancy hormones, she cursed.
"I think that's all I have to tell you for now. I'll teach you how to ride a broomstick and we can share our action figures when you come out of the tummy. We love you and I really really hope you listen to me. Ok bye thanks." Scorpius bid goodbye to his baby brother with a small pat and a quick kiss to Hermione's tummy.
"You all done talking, buddy?" Draco asked amusedly.
"Yeah I think so. Can I please go swimming now, daddy."
"Go ask Uncle Blaise to go with you to the pool. I think I'll stay here with mummy for a while."
"Ok daddy!" Scorpius all but squealed while already running back into the villa, leaving Draco and Hermione on the terrace overlooking the mediterranean.
Draco silently padded towards Hermione and took a seat beside her on the huge reclining couch, putting his arm around her shoulders and gathering her close to his body. Hermione smiled to herself and snuggled in close to her husband, placing her hand on his strong chest, delighted with the feel of his heart beating steadily.
"He's really excited to meet his baby sister" Draco whispered amusedly.
Hermione chuckled softly, "I'm excited also, and I know you are too."
"You're excited for the late night feedings and the baby vomits?" Draco laughed.
"Yup!" Hermione smiled and opened her eyes, her gaze immediately seeking Draco's. "I'm excited for all of those and more because I know I'm going to be doing them with you."
Draco looked back at his wife with loving eyes, "Well that's good, because I'm as excited as you are and I'm so ready to meet my daughter."
Hermione shut her eyes tight and heaved a huge sigh. She was tired both physically and emotionally, and she was pretty sure she doesn't have her voice anymore from all the screaming she did.
But all of it was worth it when she saw Draco holding their daughter for the very first time, their gray eyes sizing up each other. Her small soft body was such a contrast to Draco's strong huge arm that it was almost comical. She could've stayed there forever and stared at her family if she wasn't so damn tired from hours of labor.
"You need more sleep, love." Draco's husky voice whispered somewhere near her ear.
"What about you?" she replied back, "You haven't even slept at all since I got the contractions."
Draco chuckled, "Don't mind me. I wasn't the one who basically performed a miracle and gave birth to a human being. If you can go through hours of labor pain, then I can survive a couple hours without sleep."
Hermione opened her eyes to see Draco sitting on a transfigured sofa with their daughter in his arms, being rocked steadily.
"You know you're gonna have to give her to the nurse sometime soon." Hermione laughed, "It's only been hours since she's born and she's already spoiled."
Draco smiled back and shook his head, "I don't care. I love her and whatever she wants I'm gonna make sure she gets it."
Hermione only rolled her eyes and adjusted Scorpius' sleeping form cuddled next to her.
"Thank you." She suddenly heard Draco.
Hermione looked back at him again with a smile, "Thank you for what, love?"
"For loving me and my son and for giving me the most beautiful family."
Hermione smirked, "You're welcome, Malfoy. I love you."
"I love you too, Granger." Draco smirked back and nuzzled his nose to his daughter's forehead, "And I love you too, little Victoria my darling. You and your big brother both."
That's it.
It's over.
Thank you for everything!
I'll be publishing a new story soon and I hope you guys give it a read also :)
XOXO,
