The next day Sunkit was sitting in front of the nursery, glaring at his sister and brother. Ever since Flamekit told the clan why she snuck out of the clan he had been angry with her. So what if he didn't follow her because he was obeying clan rules, he wanted to know why she didn't get in trouble? She was supposed to be stuck in the nursery for a moon or had her apprentice ceremony held back! Now Gingerkit was hanging out with her more. Ok, so he was a little mean to his brother before that, but that didn't mean anything!

"Move!" Leafpool yowled.

Sunkit ducked as the medicine cat stepped over him and into the nursery. Now that he realized it, Foxe was wailing. 'Oh,' he thought as he turned to look. Sorreltail ushered him away from there. Mousewhisker tried to go in, but Leafpool sent him a warning look that made him think twice. Lionblaze and Sakura were standing behind him, furs slightly bristled. They were surprised when they heard the she cat wailing.

Flamekit and Gingerkit tried to look inside the nursery in vain. "What's going on?" Sunkit squeaked.

"Foxe is having her kits," Brackenfur murmured.

Sunkit's eyes lightened up. "Kits? You mean more kits to play with?" He asked excitedly. More kits meant that he would have more playmates than his siblings!

"Yup," Blossomfall said with a grin.

After a while Leafpool came out. "False alarm," she mewed. She laid a tail on Mousewhisker's shoulder as the joy on his face disappeared. "It's OK, it just means that the kits are ready to come. I'll give them three days at the most," she murmured. The tom nodded his head, at least they were ready.

When she walked away Sakura padded over to him, Lionblaze close behind. "You OK?" She asked.

Mousewhisker nodded and smiled a little. "I was hoping they would come today, I have a little while longer to wait."

Sunkit sighed and closed his eyes, he was hoping for new playmates.

"Hey guys, wanna play tag?" Gingerkit gushed.

Flamekit jumped in excitement. "Yea!"

"I'll pass," Sunkit muttered.

Flamekit frowned at him. "What's wrong? Why won't you play with us anymore?"

Sunkit shrugged and turned away. Gingerkit jumped in front of him. "Come on Sunkit! Stop being a sourpuss!"

"Why don't you go play with Flamekit?! She has all the great idea!" Sunkit hissed. Gingerkit flinched away from him, eyes wide in shock. Flamekit growled and marched towards her brother.

"What's wrong with you?! You didn't have to be mean to him!" She yowled.

"You!" Sunkit screeched.

Bumblestripe and Icecloud ran to them. "What's wrong?"

"Sunkit is being mean to Gingerkit!" Flamekit hissed.

Sunkit glared at her and marched towards Squirrelflight, who was looking puzzled. "What's going on?" She demanded.

Flamekit huffed and sat down. "Sunkit won't play with us no more!"

"And he's being mean," Gingerkit added.

Flamekit wrinkled her nose. "It's been going on since I told the clan what Cinder- I mean Foxe did. He's been giving me the evil eye since then!"

"He said you should've got in trouble!" Gingerkit remembered excitedly, then he deflated.

Squirrelflight shook her head. "You should have young lady," she told Flamekit. "You better be lucky Mousewhisker stood up for you, otherwise you would have to wait an extra an extra moon for your apprenticeship. Don't sneak out again."

"Yes mama I know," Flamekit sighed. She then jumped up and turned to Gingerkit. "Want to see if we can get Blossomfall and Cloudtail to play with us?"

"Yea!" Gingerkit squealed and the two took off running.

Squirrelflight sighed and shook her head before walking to the nursery. In there she saw Sunkit in her nest by himself. Quietly she padded over to him and surprised him with a lick. "What's on your mind son?" She asked sweetly.

The tabby kit huffed and looked away. "Nothing mama..."

"Don't 'nothing' me," she said sternly, wrapping herself around him. "Is this about Flamekit."

His ears flattened on his head instantly, so she waited for him to talk. Eventually he did.

"I told her to stay in the camp and she didn't listen to me!" He bursts. "She was talking to those ghost cats!"

"You mean Flameblood and Killerfang?"

"Yes! I don't like them!"

"And why don't you like them?" She asked quietly.

Sunkit narrowed his eyes. "They hurt uncle Jayfeather and auntie Leafpool!"

Squirrelflight's tail curled at this. "But they didn't mean to, they were just angry with Jayfeather. They would never intentionally do us harm." Sunkit looked down at his paws silently. Squirrelflight began to clean him.

"But Flamekit snuck out and saved the clan..."

"Flamekit did not exactly save the clan; she just told us who was behind the lies and near deaths in the clan. Which is why the bad cat has been renamed Foxe." A low growl made Squirrelflight turn to the grey tabby she cat and hiss back. "Quiet Foxe! I will tell my kit the truth; your selfish plots could've hurt them!"

"Moonclan brats in training!" Foxe hissed.

Squirrelflight bristled and Icecloud came running in. "What's going on?"

"Foxe is being a problem is what," Squirrelflight hissed. "I wasn't talking to her this time, I was talking to Sunkit!" Icecloud glared at Foxe for a long time before leaving. Sunkit looked up at Squirrelflight curiously before squirming and mewling loudly. The queen chuckled and continued licking him. Sunkit purred in satisfaction and closed his eyes. He then sighed.

"Maybe I should've followed Flamekit..." He muttered sadly.

"No, you did the right thing by telling her not to go and not following her. What if you both got hurt?"

"But...but she heard Foxe confess!"

"Yes, a lucky thing on her part, but she still wasn't suppose to leave." She lifted his chin with the tip of her tail until he was looking up at her. "You did the right thing, even though Flamekit did wrong and somehow helped the clan. A true warrior is a warrior who follows the code and makes the right decisions, never forget that."

Sunkit nodded his head, eyes sparkling.

Squirrelflight purred and licked his ears. "Now, go apologize to your litter mates and play with them."

"Why?!" The kit demanded. Squirrelflight narrowed her eyes at him.

"Because you have been mean to them, Sunkit. They are your siblings and nothing, no matter what happens, should ever make you turn against them." She tapped his head with her tail when he opened his mouth to protest. "No, listen to me. Do you remember Jayfeather, Leafpool and Lionblaze not hanging out with each other?" Sunkit nodded his head. Squirrelflight stood and lead him to the mouth of the nursery, where she sat and wrapped her tail back around him. She nodded to the medicine den. "Now look at them, they-"

Suddenly Lionblaze came running out with a spitting Jayfeather on his tail, claws marks on his back and across his chin. "You fleabag! Get back in here!" Jayfeather spat and limped after him.

Leafpool gave a squawk of shock and ran over to them. "What in Starclan's name is going on?!" She yowled.

Lionblaze gave a smirk and crouched, waving his tail in the air. "Nothing..."

"You called me a blind dog!" Jayfeather accused.

Lionblaze narrowed his eyes. "You called me a love sick idiot!"

"What else was I suppose to call you, since you're getting cobwebs in your brain while thinking about Sa-"

"SHUT UP YOU BLIND DOG!" Lionblaze screeched, fur heating up. His secret almost got out.

Jayfeather yowled and launched himself at his brother. Leafpool caught him by his scruff and dragged him away. "You mouse brained idiots!" She scolded. "You're acting like over grown kits!"

Jayfeather grumbled and Lionblaze pawed the ground.

"Lionblaze, your brother is wounded; you know not to egg him on. And Jayfeather, you are a medicine cat! You should definitely know better! Now look at you, you've opened most of your wounds! Both of you get in the den, now!" Lionblaze and Jayfeather huffed as they followed the cat into the medicine den. Lionblaze bumped into Jayfeather lightly, who returned the action with a light swat of his tail.

Squirrelflight blinked rapidly. "Umm..."

"I know what you are saying mom," Sunkit mewed with a sigh.

Squirrelflight nodded, though her eyes were still on the medicine den. "Good, now go apologize," she said distractedly. There was a burn in her eyes that looked like a scolding. Sunkit nodded and climbed over her tail to run outside, eager to get away from her. As soon as he left Squirrelflight ran to the medicine den.

Sunkit found Flamekit and Gingerkit playing with Dustpelt. "Come on Dustpelt catch us!" Gingerkit taunted. The dark brown tabby tom grumbled under his breath, his tail twitching from side to side. Suddenly he lashed out and scooped up Flamekit, who squealed in shock.

"Oh no! Lemme go!" Flamekit squealed and squirmed.

Dustpelt chuckled and retreated to the back of the den. "No, now I'm going to eat you!"

"I'll save you Flamekit!" Gingerkit yowled, but he was scooped up by Barley. "Nnnnope, I think I'll hold onto you small one," he said lazily. Gingerkit and Flamekit were now squealing as both toms ran their paws down their ribs.

Sunkit came in, pouncing on Barley's back. He batted at the back of his neck, causing the white tabby to let go of Gingerkit in shock. "Sunkit?!" Gingerkit squirmed away, then joined his brother as they ran for Dustpelt. The two tackled him with high pitch battle yowls.

Dustpelt stopped tickling Flamekit and went limp. "I surrender!"

Sunkit and Gingerkit yowled in victory. Flamekit shook her fur and left the den. Gingerkit followed her worried. Sunkit was puzzled and confused, and he too followed.

"Flamekit what's wrong?" Gingerkit asked.

Flamekit growled and turned, glaring at Sunkit. "Why are you here?" She asked instead, eyes cold. "Aren't you too busy being mean and jealous to us?"

Gingerkit blinked and looked at Sunkit, his mouth in a form of a small 'o'. Sunkit pawed the ground and looked down. "I know I-I'm sorry..."

Flamekit narrowed her eyes and glanced at Gingerkit. A small smirk formed on her face, one that Gingerkit returned eagerly. "Well sorry isn't going to make things better," Gingerkit hissed.

Sunkit looked up at them with wide eyes. "Come on! I said I'm sorry, I'll do anything I promise; just don't be mad at me!"

Flamekit and Gingerkit bared their fangs and turned their back on him. Sunkit whimpered and turned away, heading toward the nursery. He let out a squeak as the other two suddenly pounced on him. "Windclan cat!" Flamekit mewed and both of them ran. Sunkit growled and chased them both.

Somehow the three ended up in a small pile of kits.

"We forgive you Sunkit!" Flamekit purred and nuzzled him. Gingerkit copied happily.

Sunkit purred and nuzzled them back. "Good! Mama said we can't let anything separate us!" He looked at Flamekit. "But you have to follow the rules."

Flamekit rolled her eyes and wiggled out of the pile. "Oh well," she crouched, "I'm Riverclan!" And they played.
